NEW Milani Gel Powder Eyeshadow Collection - twelve shades
(retail: $4.59 each at CVS)
"Gel Powder Eyeshadow"
"A first! Pure Color. One Stroke Application. Powder Wear."
You may be asking yourself, "Gel Powder??" and that's what I was asking myself too! I haven't received any official information from Milani about these yet, but Jessica explained the texture to me--you'll see her commentary below.
NOTE: These do not appear to be limited edition. The display and the compacts do not say "limited edition" and I suspect that these will be taking the place of the existing Milani eyeshadow singles, since all of those are currently on 50% off clearance at CVS.
Jessica said that there are a few different finishes in this collection, including metallics and satin mattes. Here's a closer look at the three shades she purchased:

Clockwise from the top:
Bella Navy (Satin Matte), Bella Espresso (Satin Matte), Bella Gold (Metallic)
Jessica's swatches:

Have you spotted the new Milani Gel Powder Eyeshadows in your area yet? Again, there's no indication that this collection is limited edition, and I suspect these are taking the place of the existing eyeshadow singles since those are now on clearance at CVS. I'm guessing these should also pop up at other retailers that carry Milani as well, but I will let you know when I get confirmation on that!
Thanks so much, Jessica, for the great sighting and swatches. I really appreciate it!
Omg, the blue one <3
ReplyDeleteI bet these have the same texture as the ColorPop indie line that was just released. I'd describe the formula as gel-powder, they have a little give almost to them, and the opacity is killer. I'm a huge fan of the ColorPops so I'll be sure to snag these when I find them on sale!
ReplyDeleteLets hope these actually make it to the retail market unlike the previous "new" singles.
ReplyDeleteExactly, none of the stores in my area carried the shadow singles.
DeleteWow, these are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI don't wear eyeshadow all that often anymore, but I know I'll picking up a few of these. Such pretty colors.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, cannot wait to find these!! I wonder if they're similar to the Estee Lauder pure color gel powder, or the Sephora brand (discontinued, I think) Prisma Chrome?? I always wanted to try the Sephora PC but never did. Oh, and...THAT GOLD!!! *o*
ReplyDeleteThese look great! I love milani face products.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if these are bendable with other shadows or if you're stuck only being able to do a "one-shadow look".
ReplyDeleteThat blue will be mine.
ReplyDeleteOh I hope these show up in the permanent Milani displays because none of the stores in my area ever seem to get Milani LE or even small, counter top displays like this one. Heck, the Walgreens in my town doesn't even carry Milani (sad) so I always have to check other stores when I'm in different parts of the main city. Jeez, what a crazy girl like me has to do for her makeup fix...oh and these look AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteThese look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThat blue is just gorgeous. Milani is just getting better and better.
ReplyDeleteMust have them all! *-* But hopefully the staying power is good on oily eyelids... UD's the only brand that works for me so far.
ReplyDeleteMilani's eyeshadow primer is excellent on my very oily lids. You should check it out!

DeleteAny idea about the staying power or crease resistance? It would be extra awesome if you could skip primer with these (since they clearly don't require it for intensity's sake). Very exciting!
ReplyDeleteThere's look similar to the ones by Kiko Makeup Milano! I'm excited!
ReplyDeleteThat blue is amazing looking! I don't buy much eye shadow, but I think I can get all kinds of use from the Bella Navy! I can see using that as a liner too! And the Bella Gold?!?! Beautiful!!! Thnanks girls!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the texture of these is similar to the ELF Lustrous Longwear Eyeshadows - but with better initial payoff.
ReplyDeleteThese look great! I need to use up some of the shadow I already have before I try these out. I'm glad these may be permanent! (I see that Milani is really hanging on to their gold packaging. No matter, it's really the product inside that counts.)
ReplyDeleteI'm very intrigued! Thanks G!
ReplyDeleteWow! Those swatches without primer sold me! Will be keeping my eyes peeled for these.
ReplyDeleteThanks G!
Wowza, that gold and that blue! LOVE!
ReplyDeleteAlso - since the display says "Power Wear" rather than "Powder Wear", I'm guessing these are supposed to be long-lasting? Do you think you will review these?
I also love their nail polishes
ReplyDeleteI've never bought any Milani products before but I will be hunting these bad girls down ASAP! These look absolutely beautiful. Thank you Jessica! I can't wait to see more swatches. Are drugstores the only Milani retailers or does Target, Wally World (WalMart) &/or ULTA carry Milani? I must have these...now! Thank you in advance for any info on where I can buy these beauties.

HTH!
These are just breath-takingly beautiful! Especially the blue one - it's so unique! And I'm normally not the biggest fan of blue anything. I might have a couple of these coming my way, if everything goes as planned... can't wait to see them irl! Thanks so much for sharing these swatches and for letting me know they exist <3
ReplyDeleteHi G! Thank you for this post! I started my hunt for these last night, and wouldn't you know? My first stop was the CVS on 2nd and PCH in Long Beach had them. You know that when you're on the hunt for something, that hardly happens. LOL I posted swatches on my IG (Teralissa) and tagged you. Hope you don't mind. Thank you again!
ReplyDeleteOh, gracious! I see a collection in the making. And, I better make room of these now!
ReplyDeleteDo yourself a favor and buy one or two before going nuts with them. I got three (champagne, espresso, and a lighter satin/matte brown I can't recall the name) and am not terribly impressed. They swatch beautifully with a finger but when you try to actually apply them with a brush it's a different story. Very hard to get the product on the brush and they have nowhere near the same pigmentation. Had to layer and layer. Once on they seemed to fade quickly as well. I wore my usual primer and after about three hours they were much lighter than first applied. They may perform better wet, with a sponge tip applicator, or just with your finger, which is fine for a lid shade, but trying to blend them into the crease is a lot more difficult that way. I would say only get the ones you would like as a lid color or liner.
ReplyDeleteOmg I just picked these up @cvs with 30% off can't wait to try them out!!!
ReplyDeleteFound these today! Purchased a bunch of shades! Will be searching them this evening and have swatches on my instagram tonite!!!!!!! They r gorgeous!! IG: jennifermarie781
ReplyDeleteThe collection has 3 finishes Satin matte, metallic and shimmer.
ReplyDeleteOn milanis website looks like there's about 30 shades
