Spotted: NEW L'Oreal Glossy Balm Crayon Collection (with reader swatches)

If you thought you had seen all of the new releases that L'Oreal has to offer for Fall 2014, think again! There's at least one more new collection now popping up in drugstores. (If you missed my L'Oreal sightings blitz the other night, you can click my L'Oreal tag here to get up to date on everything that's hitting stores now--be sure to click "older posts" when you get to the end of the page, for even more sightings.)

Many thanks to reader Devan (@devanskyles on Instagram) for this one. Devan spotted the new L'Oreal Glossy Balm Crayons at her local drugstore this week and shared some pics and swatches with us. L'Oreal has finally jumped on the jumbo twist-up lip color bandwagon (I don't think those limited edition Le Matte and Le Lacque pencils from a few seasons ago count, since they were longer and more narrow than your standard jumbo lip pencils). Take a look:

There are eight shades in the above display. Here's a closer look at the shade Devan purchased:

Devan mentioned that the shade she purchased, Innocent Coral, contains no shimmer or glitter, and that it feels comfortable on the lips. I think it looks lovely on her!

Have you spotted the new L'Oreal Glossy Balm Crayons in your area yet? Thoughts? I'm 99.9% sure these are a new permanent addition to the L'Oreal lineup. If I hear otherwise, you'll be the first to know.

Thanks again, Devan, for the great sighting, pics and swatches. I really appreciate it!

  2. I was obsessed the the Le Matte pencils...I don't know why they made them only LE. This color and texture looks AMAZING. I can't wait to find these!

    1. Those matte pencils were awesome. They actually felt good and worked well alone and blending with other lip colors. I do wish they'd make them permanent.

  5. I'm really into chubby lip pencils at the moment. And glossy too? Yes, please! Anyone know if these have any scent or flavor? Strong fragrance is the main reason I stay away from most L'Oreal lip products.

  6. Ha, I just contacted L'Oreal USA on their FB page a few weeks ago and asked about these. They had no idea that these were launching soon and just said to stay tuned.... It made me think that an intern runs their social media. I hope we get the matte glosses too, because those look interesting.

  7. I definately want to try one of these. That coral looks way more fushia/pink than coral to me though. It annoys me when the color doesn't translate to the name!

  11. I got all 8 shades at CVS today. My crazy self couldn;t help it lol
So they do NOT have a scent. Cause I Really hate that Loreal Lipstick smell.
They are pigmented and creamy. I really like these.

  12. Just picked these up at Target today. They're nice - pigmented and moisturizing. They don't stain the lips, but I prefer that.
