After I signed up, the coupon arrived in my email within just a few minutes. Here is the fine print from the Ulta email:

As you can see, there are a few exclusions, but unlike the regular 20% off coupons that Ulta issues, most of the higher-end brands that Ulta offers are NOT excluded in this promotion.

I don't think other UD items are excluded, just the Naked palettes, probably because they're such hot sellers. Have fun!

If you are interested in mineral products, you should check out Everyday Minerals. They have GREAT products, do not use any Bismuth Oxychloride, are way more affordable and, also happen to be cruelty free! I have been using they products for about 6 yrs and I love them :)

Ulta coupons run in roughly 2 groups, with the later group being the one with the most fluctuation in products it applies to.
Coupon 1 - This exclude all "prestige" brands. The list of professional brands that exclude themselves from sales is quite long which is why it is not printed on each coupon. Common types - 3.50 off 10. 5 off 10. 5 off 15. and generic 20% off one item or 20% off entire purchase. Retail brands often compensate stores for their coupons or in store promotions such as B1G1 50%, 15%, etc.... which is why they offer these coupons so frequently.
coupon 2 - Works on MOST prestige brands. These coupons almost always state exactly which brands are excluded. Usually brands like Lancome, dermalogica, etc... and sometimes clarisonica and clinique. The most likely reason this one excludes the Naked palettes is due to limited availability, my local store has run out of Naked 2 and 3 each day that they receive them! Generally these brands do not reimburse the retailer for the promotion so ulta takes in 20% less profit from each item making these coupons so much more rare!
Don't forget these include on salon service too!!! Great way to save on a professional cut, color or skin treatment.
