My longtime Canadian blogging buddy, Halifax from Sparkled Beauty, alerted me to some exciting sneak peeks posted on Instagram recently. If you haven't seen these yet, definitely take a peek:
- From PerilouslyPale's Instagram: the new Color Elixirs (release date unknown)
- From Beautezine's Instagram: another photo of the Color Elixir Lipglosses
UPDATE: I previously linked to a photo of what appeared to be a new, red shade in the Color Tattoo family. I have since been informed that it was the core shade, Pomegranate Punk, which is new for Canada (not for the US). Sorry for the confusion!
Thanks again, Halifax, for the heads-up about these new goodies!
Sometimes I wish I never got back into makeup. T_T I'm one of those people that the NEW and LIMITED EDITION marketing strategies effortlessly work on. Thank you for the updates!
ReplyDeletethe red one i believe looks like pomegranate punk...
ReplyDeleteAaah, you could be right. ..but don't they already have that shade in Canada? Maybe not...hum. .
DeleteTo me the red just seems to be pomegranate punk, a plummy-red already in the permanent range since the color tattoo range debuted (maybe the filter just changed the color a little bit).
ReplyDeleteJust responded to this above. .. you guys could be right, but don't they already have that shade in Canada?
Deletethe only other teal color tattoo i see floating around is called test my teal and its from 2012 collection.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I don't *think* that was the shade she mentioned. ..argh, I should have written it down!
DeleteTenacious Teal? I think I saw it recently at a local CVS but it was sitting on some random shelf with two other color tattoos I've never seen before or since. All three had the limited edition wrapping on them, I should have purchased them when I had the chance!
ReplyDeleteNope, TT is core and has been around since the very beginning. But thanks...weird that it would have an LE wrapper though!
DeleteNOT MORE PRODUCTS D: NOOOOOOOOOOOOO... Maybelline is already getting a chunk of change from me, for their Expert Wear duo Browntones (has a dupe for MAC's Omega) and the Color Sensational lipstick in Born With It! That Color Tattoo looks really red. Really, *really* red! Pomegrenate Punk, on the other hand, looks more plum. According to the comments (to the right of the picture and scroll to the bottom to see the reply about the color), its more raspberry. Their (currently)new products on the website too; loose pigments, smokey pencil thing, mascara. The Emulsion lippies sound like any regular liquid lipstick. Am I the only one a little confused by the Color Exlixer packaging image in the promo? And what's up with the cocktail mixes and mention of a "Cocktail Bar"? I think the Color Elixers might be Maybelline's answer to Obsessive Compulsive Lip Tars.
ReplyDeleteJust saw another pic of the Color Elixers on Beautezine's IG and they look like they're traditional glosses (well the packaging at least). Not squeeze tubes like the lip tars...
DeletePretty sure everything in the Color Tattoo photo is permanent and not new. Three of them are definitely existing Metal shades, and the other three look a lot like Pomegranate Punk, Bad to the Bronze, and Too Cool to me.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I'm awaiting confirmation from Jessica (Beautezine) on the shade names (she has a press kit) and will update with more info when I get it!
DeleteJudging by the photo, and by any means maybe I'm mistaken, or just a coincidence release, but those seem to be the new shades for Europe/other regions.
ReplyDeleteRed - 'Metallic Promegranate', may be the equivalent to Pomegranate Punk or similar
Gold/Yellow - '24k Gold', might be equivalent to Metal Tattoo in Gold Rush or similar
Pink - 'Pink Gold', if it's similar to an existing shade don't know which one
Blue - 'Everlasting Navy', may the the equivalente of Metal Color Tattoo Electric Blue or similar
Light Lilac/Blue - 'Mauve Crush' or 'Light in Purple'. 'Mauve Crush' seems the equivalent of LE 'Blue Paradise'. I've seen a Light in Purple shade in UK sites, may be the same as Mauve Crush or somethin like LE 'Cool Crush'
Pearly/White - this I have no idea if it is the white one originally released that just may be seeing light in some countries or is a different one
Makeup brands like to mess up with customers
Thanks--Beautezine confirmed that those are all new for Canada. But yes, they're existing core shades here in the US (I just updated my post).
DeleteThanks for the update. In light of this Maybelline is then releasing shades that were USA exclusives until now, even with other names.
DeleteFalse alarm, folks. The colour in the pic was inaccurate and it is indeed Pomegranate Punk. Sorry for the excitement :(
ReplyDeleteNo prob, H. I updated my post (glad you guys are getting those shades though!).
DeleteEmulsion and Elixir lipsticks? I'm in, just because they sound so intriguing and refreshing.
ReplyDeleteAre there photos of the entire "holographic" collection anywhere?
ReplyDeletei thought it was pomegranate punk. i actually wrote maybelline canada and they responded to me this:
ReplyDeleteMaybelline New York - Canada Hey Charlotte! That's Pomegranate Punk (more of a shimmering light burgundy than red). Sometimes Instagram filters can be deceiving

ReplyDeletehmmmm 3 in 1? gloss-lipstick-stain perhaps? color me intrigued except for any LE part. ugh!
ReplyDeletegirls where I can find those baby lips...I need to have theeem asap loool. what stores? I'm going insane loool
ReplyDeleteThese color elixirs looks like stain lipglosses. Maybe they're like the loreal ones, the shine caresse stains? Cause maybelline already have the high shine lip glosses out, why would you want to release another lipgloss line out?
ReplyDeleteWe have Pomegranate Punk in Canada though o.o
ReplyDeleteI just spotted the new Color Tattoo Pure Pigments, Fit Me Gel Sticks and Master Smokey Eye Pencils at my local CVS! Picked up a couple of the pure pigments.
