Today on Instagram, my pal @mynailsarewet alerted me to the fact that there are some new Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes on the horizon. The collection is called Exotica and it's already been launched in Ireland.
Here's the thing: there's one blogger who mentioned that this collection is also going to hit the US (this month!), but that's the only mention of a US release (please let me know if you find any others!). So, at this time, I obviously can't guarantee we'll get it, but keep your eyes peeled for it!
The details:
There are seven shades in the Exotica Collection: Shore-ly (beige creme), Tahitian Sunset (peach creme with subtle shimmer), Vitamin Sea (light blue creme), Go Bananas (pale yellow with subtle shimmer), Palm Treat (pastel lime green creme), Sgt Preppy (pastel lavender-pink creme), Evening Glow (orange jelly-creme--at least that's what it looks like to me!)
You can see bottle shots and swatches here.
And here.
And here.
Have any of you seen this collection in stores here in the US? Thoughts?
Thanks again, @mynailsarewet, for the heads-up about this one!
These are very pretty! I can't wait to pick up a few. G, as always, thank you for the heads up!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! xo
DeleteThanks for the link love!
ReplyDeleteYou're so welcome!!!
Deleteomg! just when i thought i was done buying nail polishes for the year... this comes along. i want all!
ReplyDeleteLol! It never ends!
DeleteI was all excited for a second, then looked at swatches. I don't know, with a name like EXOTICA I'd expect, oh I don't know, maybe an *exotic* shade or 2 rather than pastels. Still, it's a good formula so they'll have that going for them ;)
ReplyDeleteDid you see the swatches in the last link? Sone really pretty hidden shimmer in some of these. :)
DeleteI'm not seeing any "must haves" but if these show up and there's a decent sale, even a BOGO 50, I'm sure that blue and green will go home with me. lol
ReplyDeleteG, I think that pale beige is Shore-ly, not Bare-ly.
Gah!! Thank you so much for catching that, Donna! PS: always nice to see you around here again. You have been missed!!!
DeleteThank you! I've had some health issues for several months, wait, I always have health issues. I mean new ones! I am now without a gallbladder and doing better. I hope that means I'll be around like I used to. I missed you and your blog very much!
DeleteHi G!! I saw some pics on instagram of a new revlon collection! Its called Revlon Chrome Cameleon Nail Polish!!! I haven't spotted it anywhere but I saw pics on Google!! Anyways thought you'd be interested!! Good luck!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! But those actually are not new. Do a search on my blog for "chroma chameleon" and you'll see my post from a month or two ago. :) Which reminds me...I bought the purple shade about a month ago and haven't reviewed it yet! Argh! Lol
DeleteSorry I thought they were new because i have never seen them before in store so i fugured they were new. I hope I find them!!! Btw I absoulutely love your blog! Its so addicting to read cause its all about new drugstore makeup!! Anyways thanks!! Bye!
DeleteI am pretty sure I saw these last night when I was looking for the beige Fuzzy Coat. I will check again tomorrow & let you know.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I would LOVE that! Thank you so much! :D
DeleteI am so unimpressed! D: It's all creams. Meh... Pretty colors of course, but they don't do anything for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks a mill for the link :) It's a beautiful collection so hopefully you get your hands on them!
ReplyDeleteIn GENERAL I would be underwhelmed with vintage pastel shades ... buuuut
ReplyDelete1 - when viewed as a collection (instead of judging each individually), the color story is incredibly cohesive and successful. It really DOES make me think of an exotic beach with sun-bleached wood and fabric draped and fluttering. The one saturated orange is exactly the pop of contrast it needs.
2 - one of the linked blogs said they covered perfectly in just TWO coats. Pastels?? PASTEL YELLOW???? If this is true, total game changer!
I wonder if the Tahitian Sunset shade will be a dupe for Sinful Color's Orange Creme. Both are pastel oranges with subtle silver shimmer.
I really love that pastel green..I might have to pick that one up if I find it on sale somewhere!!:)) I can't wait to see these in person!!
