Spotted: Sinful Shine Nail Colors by Sinful Colors (NEW LINE)

Sinful Colors has added an entirely new line to their brand, WITH ALL NEW COLORS! The Sinful Shine With Gel Tech polish line promises to be "more glossy than a patent leather shoe!" So basically it's like a gel manicure (but without the lamp/curing).  The price point on these polishes is one dollar more than regular Sinful Colors polishes ($2.99) but the size is the same (0.5 oz).

A huge thanks to two lovely readers for the heads-up about this new line. Both readers spotted this display at Walgreens (it's a Walgreens Exclusive line) so let's take a peek!

First up, some display pics from reader Ivy:

NEW Sinful Shine With Gel Tech Nail Colors by Sinful Colors (Walgreens Exclusive)
(retail: $2.99 each at Walgreens, 0.5 oz)

Ivy purchased two shades from this collection and was nice enough to include some close-ups:

As you can see, there are some slight differences when compared to the original Sinful Colors polishes (the lid color and font, and the fact that "Sinful Shine" is in all caps (the "S" and the "C" in "Sinful Colors" are larger than the rest of the letters on the regular Sinful Colors bottles).

Left: Skinny Dipping
Right: Your's [sic]Truly

Sorry, the English Major in me had to include a "sic" in that title because there's some serious apostrophe abuse going on in that shade name. Come on, Sinful Colors!

Next up, some great display close-ups from reader Eshani:

Steel Reserve, Royal Flush, Nouveau Purple, My Kryptonite, Amazonian, Man Hunt

Um, how fitting is the name of that teal? Teals are truly my own personal kryptonite, as I'm sure they are for many of you!

image credit: Eshani for Nouveau Cheap
Rendezvous, Mardi Gras, Sailor's Delight, Bottoms Up, At Sea, VIP, In The Limelight

image credit: Eshani for Nouveau Cheap
Most Sinful, Spitfire, Rebel (I think that says "Rebel")

image credit: Eshani for Nouveau Cheap
Blue Suede Shoes, Devious, Set The Mood, Tan Lines, All The Rage, Pragmatic, Alfresco, Bananappeal

image credit: Eshani for Nouveau Cheap
I'm Blushing, Your's [sic] Truly, Skinny Dipping, Break Away, Come Hither, Picante, Dark Room, Wisp

As you can see, most of these are cremes, but I do spy a few shimmers in there as well. Thoughts?

Thanks SO much, Ivy and Eshani, for the fantastic pics and info! I really appreciate it!

    2. I polished my nails with Spitfire on Sunday...today is Thursday and it's still going strong. No chipping or peeling. I'd say these are more than worth the price tag.

  3. Oooh! I'm VERY curious about these! I'd love to see a review. ;)

  4. I would love to see how the colors compare to the regular sinful colors line. There are more than a few that look like they are color dupes to some other sinful color polishes.

  5. Wow. I think I want every color. If I find this display, well, it's bad news for my debit card, lol.

    1. Michelle, I agree! These look great, but between the summer Maybelline colors and the L'Oreal colors, I am going to be in some serious debt :(

  6. Sailors Delight and In the Limelight must be mine. Definitely swinging by the Walgreens today to check for them! (And in my new neighborhood there is one right around the corner. So dangerous!)

  7. Oh wow I see so many colors in this display that need to be mine! Especially tan lines

  8. I'm with you on teal being my kryptonite! And that "your's", ugh! Really??

    1. I know, right??? I hope they catch it before they print more labels because that's REALLY bugging me.:/

    2. The "5x more glossy than a patent leather shoe" bugs me. It should be "glossier."

I know the polishes are amazing and they have a devoted following, but the grammar issue is distracting. SC needs a good copy editor.

Yes,word nerds love nail polish too. :)

    3. I think I understand what you're saying here, but I think that either way is correct. "5x more glossy" is correct as far as comparatives go, but they could have also said "5x glossier." :)

    4. Right up there with 'Leap Flog'. LOL

  9. OH WOW! The one thing I truly do not need more of... But, but, but - I think I might need a few more! :)

  10. These look awesome- I see a handful of colors that I'd like to try, but am I the only one who finds it irksome that they're stored sideways??!! :)

  11. Some of these colors look nice. Are they all cremes? That would be cool.

  12. I'm trying to calculate how many I can buy before I start to feel seriously guilty. I've managed to rationalize 10 of them, the other 5 will have to wait.

  18. Why do they have to be sideways?! Haha... I totally don't need any of these colors, but for $2.99, I'm tempted to get one to get it a try!

  19. I sure hope they are patent leather shiny if so they are worth the extra buck.

  20. My kryptonite is also teal! I love it sooo much I put it in my hair :D I like Redenzvous but I don't have patent leather shoes, so how shiny will these be?XD I can't comprehend it when I don't have the item in my mind! I don't mind paying about $3 seeing as Essie and OPI are about $8 (and that's at the grocery store! They have lots of old collections; Essie's 2009 Xmas one is at my Publix). Redenzvous could replace Mint Candy Apple on my list ~

  21. Oh dear, I'm doomed! This is dreadfully exciting news, along with the other two collections you recently posted! I can't wait to see some swatches of these :D

Also, English major here as well, definitely twitching about that apostrophe abuse (couldn't have used a better phrase, either!) D:

  22. Walgreen's near me didn't have any of the new collections.
    will try another

  23. Sinful Colors sometimes makes me nuts with misspellings and bad grammar. (Ex: "Lavander" and "Why Not" with no question mark, etc.) Anyway, I'm excited for this new line! Can't wait to give it a whirl.

    1. Oh my gosh, you're right about "Lavander"! I completely forgot that was misspelled...I think I used the correct spelling in my recent post about that shade! Oops!

  24. Oooooh boy. I am liking a bunch of those. And I had the same reaction to 'My Kyptonite' and was totally saying "Ugh, that IS my kryptonite" to myself as I read your caption. I don't know what it is with me. It's not like I own all kinds of teal stuff. But I totally have a problem with teal (and turquoise, oh hell, green too I guess) polishes. Thank you so much for posting this. I hope my Walgreens has it up when I stop by tonight after work!!

  25. I just picked up three of these... Amazonian is a really pretty dark green with green gold and pink shimmer. Man hunt is a sage green in the same vein as Essie Sew Psyched but with more intense silver shimmer and its slightly cooler and grey. In the Limelight is an intense green creme that reminds me of Essie Mint Mojito from last year's resort collection. Most of the colors are cremes and reminded me of other polishes from Sinful Colors, so I passed on them.

  26. so into these! will definitely be hunting these down in my local walgreens asap. i'm especially into nouveau purple, rendezvouz, my kryptonite, and at sea. but, being that super-shiny cremes are actually my kryptonite, i'm sure i'll end up with lots more than just those 4 lol.

(oh and thank you for including that sic! the first thing i thought when i saw that polish name was "wth sinful!" ^_^ )

  27. I went out to pick up a prescription the night I saw this and bought Dark Room. I don't own any patent leather shoes to compare it with, but I can confirm that they are crazy shiny!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I adore this brand! I love love lovemy kriptonite! The color is so glossy and looks fabulous! Will be adding more of these into my nail polish collection! Great value!

  29. OK, so I am insane and went to 4 different Walgreens to find them. I bought 16. Seriously, who does that? Anyway, I am sitting here with bare nails wondering if I am supposed to use a base coat, top coat, etc. Anybody have an idea. Couldn't find any literature on it, even on the Sinful website(weirdly enough they don't even mention the new collection at all). My best guess would be base coat, no top coat because of the shine claim. Any input would be greatly appreciated :)

    1. Sarah, I am SOOO jealous you found these. I had a friend send me 2 and I want more.

I didn't use a base coat and I did apply top coat. I find it doesn't need it, but gives it a flawless finish.

    2. I used both a base and top coat - but you probably don't need a top coat. I'm just impatient and can't wait for my polish to dry.

  30. I found this display at Walgreen's on Genesee St., in Utica NY if anyone in Central NY is reading and looking for these. I was there today (4/25) and the display was entirely full. I had trouble picking colors, I was kind of hoping there would be something different, but the colors seemed basic to me. I purchased Skinny Dipping and Mardi Gras.

  31. so I assume, this is just a regular polish but shiny like a gel type of polish and you can remove easily with acetone right?? :)

  35. After keeping at eye out for a couple weeks, I found them in the Troy, NY Walgreens a few days ago. I only grabbed 5 but will probably go grab a few more tonight. I have been wearing "My Kryptonite" for 3 days, with Gelous base coat and initially no top coat. Average dry time. No chipping, little bit of tip wear (I work on a computer, cook dinner, do the dishes). I topped with a coat of the Zoya flakie, Opal, last night just to switch it up. Still looking gorgeous!! And the best part, it's a ONE COATER. Def my fav polish right now. Hopefully the formulas on the other colors will be awesome as this one.

  36. Im having dying issues with this line. They take forever and still seem to smudge. Anyone else. Tips?

    ReplyDelete
  37. My issue, so far, is with the application of AT SEA. It's thick and goopy. The color is nice but I'm sure I can find a dupe that applies much better.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Ok, as a frequent buyer of sinful color nail polish i immediately stopped when i saw the display for the sinful shine line.now i did contain myself and only bought 2( man hunt and bottoms up). Although my nails look awesome!!! It's already chipped on some of my finger nails :(
