Question of the Week
What essential products would you recommend to a friend who is just starting to build her beauty arsenal?
G's answer: A good setting powder can make all the difference in your overall look (whether you're wearing foundation or not). Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent Pressed Powder is a great, inexpensive option to experiment with. Also, a good pinky-brown lipstick can brighten up your face and tie a look together without making you look overdone (Wet n Wild Megalast Lipsticks in Rose-Bud, In The Flesh and Spiked With Rum are affordable options to play around with). Finally, good, inexpensive brushes are a MUST. Just about anything from EcoTools is awesome, and e.l.f. has some outstanding, ridiculously inexpensive options too. Their $1 eyeshadow brush is my favorite that I use every single day. I also love their Studio Blush Brush, which can be used for blush, setting powder, bronzer and highlighter. Their Studio Small Smudge Brush makes applying gel and cream eyeliners so easy, it's the only brush I use for that.
