New from L.A. Girl: Gel Liners, Textured Polishes and Holographic Polishes

I just received some info directly from L.A. Girl about some fun new products now hitting stores. I will be reviewing some of these products in the near future but, in the meantime, keep reading for all the details!

NEW TEXTURED NAIL POLISH GIVES NAILS UNIQUE SAND FINISH
Introducing Sand Blast Nail Polish by L.A. Girl
(retail: $5 each, 0.47 oz)

ONTARIO, Calif., March 1, 2013 – Textured nail polish has been making big waves this season. On the heels of this new fashion trend, L.A. Girl launches its Sand Blast nail polish collection that gives nails a unique textured appearance. Sand Blast goes on glossy but dries to a distinctive semi-matte finish with the textured look and feel of sand.

With nails so eye-catching, people will wonder how you got such incredible looking nails. Luckily, this exciting new nail look is so quick and easy to achieve. Just apply two thin coats of Sand Blast polish for a fabulous sugar textured finish. Allow the polish to dry a little in between coats. No need for a top coat. It’s that simple.

Sand Blast Nail Polish comes in 8 one-of-a-kind shades that are so spectacular; you will have to collect them all! In the collection you will find: Quick Sand (matte purple), Sandals (coral), Green Sand (shimmery mint), Glissand (shimmery coral), Sandy Beach (electric blue), Sands of time (glittery gold), Sand Dune (red), and Sandstorm (nude). All colors dry to a semi-matte finish that reflects subtle glints of light.

ONTARIO, Calif., March 1, 2013 –New to the L.A. Girl brand, ‘3D Effects’Hologram Nail Polish is made up of tiny metallic particles that create a spectacular 3D effect when applied to nails.

Plus, you can achieve a textured look that has the illusion of depth but does not feel rough; this polish has a smooth finish that won’t leave your nails feelings lumpy or bumpy.

Each shade adds an extra pop of colorto any ensemble, and the extraordinary 3D effect is sure to impress.

NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE:
NEW ‘GLIDE’ GEL LINER FEELS LIKE LIQUID AND LASTS FOR HOURS
L.A. Girl Launches Eye Pencil with Liquid-Like Application

ONTARIO, Calif., March 1, 2013 –Makeup wearers no longer have to choose between the ease of
application in an eye pencil and the smooth feel of liquid eyeliner; L.A. Girl’s new ‘Glide’ gel liner has the soft and gliding feel of liquid and comes in a pencil that can be sharpened. Available in 19 highly pigmented colors, this product is designed for makeup enthusiasts and trendsetters who are looking for the best products on the market at a reasonable price.

Having a pencil that can be sharpened is especially important to many of our customers. They enjoy the fine point and the ease of use of a traditional pencil. ‘Glide’ allows you to have that sharpened point and control while also enjoying the benefits of a liquid liner.

The L.A. Girl ‘Glide’ gel liner comes in four finishes: matte, pearly, shiny, and metallic, and is easy to blend shortly after applying. Once dry, this liner is waterproof, lasts for up to 14 hours, and will not transfer or smudge. The long-lasting formula and wide range of colors and finishes of ‘Glide’ gel liner allow makeup wearers to achieve several looks, subtle to dramatic, that will last all day.

About L.A. Girl

The L.A. Girl brand is owned and distributed by Beauty 21 Cosmetics, Inc., located in Ontario, CA. Since 1985, Beauty 21 Cosmetics, Inc. has been making superior products and offering high quality cosmetics at affordable prices.

Both new polishes lines are now available for purchase on the L.A. Girl website and should be on Cherry Culture soon.

I know that several of you have already spotted the 3D Hologram Nail Polishes at Rite Aid (thanks so much for all the photo submissions!) and I also want to let you holo lovers know that these are scattered holos, not linear holos. I have yet to see the Sand Blast Nail Polishes at Rite Aid, but hopefully they'll pop up soon.

What do you think about these new offerings from L.A. Girl?

  2. Oooh! Gimme Gimme! Ha ha. I actually wonder if these will be available at Five & Below. They got the LA Colors Magnetic polishes in roughly around the same time when they were released. Fingers crossed.

  3. Lately, I haven't been a fan of some nail polish trends (crackle, magnetic), but I am loving textured nail polish. I'm excited to look for these and try them.

  4. Oh I definitely have my eyes on those gel liners!! :D That blue looks so beautiful!

  5. My local Rite-Aid has the 3D polishes now, and I just wore, loved and reviewed Brilliant Blue! These are a lot like the Zoya holo jellies that came out last year at Christmas time--insanely smooth and sparkly!

  6. Haha it must be the season for holo! Can't say I'm complaining :D

  7. I bought 2 of the 3D Hologram polishes at Rite Aid: Brilliant Blue and Purple Effect. I just posted bottle shots and swatches of Brilliant Blue on my blog too. I'm really loving it! It's so sparkly and pretty and shiny!

I'm going to be on the lookout for those Sand Blast polishes next. I haven't really gotten into the whole textured nail polish trend, but I like how LA Girl has more neutral looking colors, so I'll probably give them a try! :)

  8. I saw the 3D polishes at Rite Aid recently. The silver definitely has a nice holographic quality to it, but the rest seemed to lack that rainbow-holo quality. A couple of them still seemed pretty cool, but they were basically just glittery.

    1. That's what I thought, too. I have the blue and my sister got the ruby one, but they weren't quite as holographic as I had hoped. They're still really pretty shades, though.

    2. Yes, while I liked the black one, I was underwhelmed by it. Anyone like me who compulsively has to collect every black polish with glitter in it *probably* has a more awe inspiring version of this polish in their collection already.

I also picked up the silver, and I think it may be more holo-esque than the black. The black seemed more like a standard black polish with multi colored micro glitter in it. Pretty, but not "wow" inspiring.

  9. An independently owned Kinney Drugs in my town has a huge display of L. A. Colors. Is this the same brand?

    2. Thanks G. I really am interested in the eyeliners! I don't hold much hope for ever seeing these in stores and generally don't buy makeup online (I need immediate gratification when it ocmes to makeup!) but I have a feeling that these may be worth it!

  11. I got the hologram polishes and they are FANTASTIC! There are scattered holos but the formula reminds me a LOT of Zoya. So worth picking up.

  12. I can't wait to find the Sand Blast line in stores. They look like a more affordable version of OPI's Liquid Sand. Haven't spotted any of the holos yet. My local Rite Aids aren't so quick the stock the latest, it would appear!

  13. I have the Electric Coral 3d and really like it, long lasting too, even on toes :)
Really interested in the liners! Hope to see them soon, especially that blue-green and purple.

  14. I got some of the 3D holographic LA Girls. I love them much better than the China Glaze holos. LA Girls are much deeper and darker.

  15. I got a couple of the scattered holos and I love them. Wearing Elextric Coral today. Like someone else mentioned, these are like Zoya Auroa, Blaze and Storm. I did not get the LA Girls that are dupes of those since I already have the Zoya ones. The Teal is awesome.
