Adele on Oscar Night: What did she wear on her nails?

Wondering which polish(es) Adele wore on Oscar night? I've got the details for you (spoiler: Sally Hansen!):

THE ULTIMATE OSCAR WORTHY ACCESSORY

At the 85th annual Academy Awards, glamorous nails stole the spotlight. Beauties, Adele and Rosie Huntington Whiteley, turned to celebrity manicurist, Kimmie Kyees, to complete their look. Kyees relied on color-leader Sally Hansen to create signature nail styles for this red carpet moment.

Adele, nominated for best original song, “Skyfall” from the latest James Bond picture layered Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color in Quick Sand under Complete Salon Manicure in Almost Almond.

Keep reading to see which Sally Hansen shades Rosie Huntington Whiteley wore on Oscar Night...

Whiteley, English model and actress, wore a custom-mixed color with beaded adornments to create a chic and trendsetting nail. Kyees created her look by painting one layer of Complete Salon Manicure in Mudslide under two coats of Complete Salon Manicure in Sheer Ecstasy.  While nails were still wet, Kyees applied a pearl and a gold metallic bead to the bottom center of each nail.

The L.A. based Kyees is known for her originality, creating mini works of art on each fingertip for A-list stars at the hottest events. To express her creativity, Kyees loves Sally Hansen’s award-winning range of cutting edge, fashion-forward colors.

WHERE TO FIND THEM: Sally Hansen products are available at chain drug stores and mass retailers nationally

  1. is it just me not loving that long pointy-nail shape Adele is sporting? maybe I'm too old-school (read: old and hence, old-fashioned?) being partial to a more squared off shape or just not bothering to keep up with the trends in this area. I just think it would look so harsh and scary to do IRL but to each their own :)

    1. Haha! Actually, "old school" WOULD be Adele's nail shape. This was about the only nail shape worn by women in the 30s and 40s and even into the 50s. The squared off shape I think really because popular in the 80s, so in that respect it is "traditional" by our standards now. But the pointy, sharp tip is definitely waaaaay old school and retro. :)

  2. Adele's nails are too long for a new mother. Cutting that baby up! Ouch!
