First and foremost, thanks to everyone who took the time to nominate products for the Cheapie Awards Reader's Choice Award for Best New Affordable Beauty Product of 2012. I whittled down the most popular nominations and the poll is now live (see right-hand sidebar). I would love it if every single one of you took a minute to vote (and thanks in advance!).
NOTE: If you see products in the poll that you think were released in 2011, you're right. But those products were actually released in the US at the very end of 2011 (such as L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows) so they're technically 2012 releases because they didn't receive widespread distribution until 2012.
Now for the results of last month's poll:
When it comes to drugstore beauty,
what's most important to you?
(TOTAL NUMBER OF VOTES: 7,413)
First Place:
Quality
(2,135 votes)
Second Place:
Price
(1,646 votes)
Third Place:
Value
(1,151 votes)
Honorable Mentions:
Convenience/Availability (601 votes)
Cruelty-Free (513 votes)
Brand Reputation (482 votes)
So, how did your choices rank in this poll? Do you agree or disagree with the winners? And if you voted for "Other" what would you have liked to have seen as an option in this poll?
Super informative, especially for cosmetics companies.
ReplyDeleteWow! Even though it got an "honorable mention," it breaks my heart that less than 10% of the respondents indicate that cruelty-free products are important to them. I am sadly surprised by this.
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with the top 3 along with brand reputation and convenience/availability.
ReplyDeleteseems about right to me. i would have thought cruelty free would have had a stronger finish too.
