Thanks to reader @DawnBaierThiele for this sighting! Dawn spotted two new Revlon Moon Candy shades at her local CVS recently and was kind enough to share. These were spotted in a tall, black spinning display that also contained the original shades in the collection, according to Dawn:

Revlon Moon Candy polishes in Eclipse and Meteor
Looking at the original display below (from my post back in July), there are a few similarities to existing shades, but nothing that's spot-on identical:

Cosmic, Supernova, Milky Way, Moon Dust, Orbit, Universe, Satellite, Galactic
I think that the base color of Cosmic (which is one of the shades I swatched in my full review of these polishes here) looks similar to the base color of Meteor, but the green in Cosmic is more of an olive/army green whereas the green in Meteor is more of a forest green. And the base color of Eclipse is a deep plum, whereas the base color of Orbit is definitely dark purple.
Thanks so much, Dawn, for the great sighting and scoop!
Have you spotted these new Revlon Moon Candy shades in your area yet? Thoughts?
Oh....and I loved the first ones that came out too! (Secret creation...uses the cremes with Cult Nails Top Coats)
ReplyDeleteDamn! Meteor is exactly what I wanted Cosmic to be!
ReplyDeleteOh I saw these at Walgreens today and totally didn't realize they were new. I wanted to buy the purple one but the flakie side looked used and it was the only one :(
ReplyDeleteSorry but none of those shades look appealing. I don't know who's in charge of making color for Revlon, but they need to be fired.
ReplyDeleteDon't think it matters how much I may like these if we see them in person, my husband will not be happy with me if I get them. He ran around to a dozen different drugstores looking for the original set of the Moon Candy polishes so I could have some. I only asked for one but he knows me and that I would eventually want more colors. I hope they look more different from the original colors in person than they do in this picture though because they look exactly the same to me.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to love them. I really tried. I have two (Moon Dust and Galactic), and tried them several times. The base colors are fantastic, but the flakies are awful for me. Lumpy, and the pieces are so thick, they stick out and get caught on fabric. And that's after 2 coats of Gelous on top! I gave up. I'll just keep using the base colors alone or with other glitters and such.
ReplyDeleteOoo! I so wants these two! I do have Orbit and Galactic since I love my purples and the flakes look so pretty. Even the one with Glactic. I will be looking out for these two then. :3
