Maybelline Baby Lips (pic of LE display and info about Coral Crush)

In case you still haven't found the Limited Edition Maybelline Baby Lips 2-packs I posted about a little while ago (click here for shade info and close-ups),  reader Brie of Simply Thrifty Nails was nice enough to share a pic of the display at Walgreens:

Maybelline Baby Lips Limited Edition 2-Packs
(retail: $7.99 at Walgreens)

Keep reading for more info about Coral Crush, after the jump...

One of the shades in this LE collection is Coral Crush, and reader @DawnBaierThiele was nice enough to share a pic of a magazine ad she spotted which sort of implies that maybe Coral Crush is going to be a permanent addition to the Baby Lips line:

I circled the part that says: "Exclusive Lip Renew Formula/Now in Coral Crush." Hopefully that means Coral Crush is a new, permanent addition to the Baby Lips line!

Thanks so much, Brie and Dawn, for the great sightings and info!

Have you spotted/purchased any of the LE Baby Lips lip balms? Thoughts?

  2. I saw thus at cvs.. I'm trying to figure Out if they are worth the $.. Has anyone tried them? Is the formula really good? Any different than a regular chap stick?

    1. Texture-wise, they are pretty much like any moisturizing lip balm. They are on the smoother side (like the Nivea balms) rather than the waxy side (like the Burt's Bees or Neutrogena balms). But the color they impart is really lovely. My favorite one is the orange/red one. It smells of cherry Starburst/Jolly Ranchers and leaves this really pretty red/pin flush on your lips.

    2. I agree with Phoebe. They're nothing like Chapsticks. You can see my full review with swatches here:

    4. I have them in every non-LE color and I would advise staying away from the nude in the purple tube if you don't like grittier textures. It's a lovely color though.

  3. My Walgreens did not have a display, but there were a few loose on the display shelf. Not sure if they are selling out fast, they didn't receive the display or there was no room. So double-check your display shelves...I almost missed them.

  4. I am kind of done with Coral for the year, but I do hope I find this! I can never have enough lip balms and believe they do get used! I am adding this to my list of balms that I need that includes Softlips in Marshmallow and the holiday flavors and maybe the WNW balms, I believe that you are going to review one soon?!

  5. I've spotted these in a couple Walgreens, but I really just want the Coral Crush, at least until I see a swatch of the Twinkle shade because I worry that one might be too pale. Though with that Oct. 19 Walgreens coupon, I may cave.

  7. Went to Walgreens and got the Coral Crush and Twinkle duo, and the cashier was kind enough to give me the 15 percent discount (though she was using it for everyone, but I'm happy to be one of the family). The Coral Crush is a faint coral color -- I do have pale lips so it's just a light wash of color on me, and the Twinkle is fairly clear, with maybe the tiniest touch of shimmer. I was hoping for a touch more color with both, but it's the Baby Lips formula, which I love, so I'm happy. Thanks for the heads-up on the discount, G, since I think you put the bug in my brain to visit Walgreens.

  10. I was hesitant of trying Baby Lips. I was at Giant Eagle (Grocery Store) and I saw the limited edition Coral Crush / Twinkle set. I decided to buy them and I'm so glad I did. I work at an ice rink, so dry air from the ice kills my lips. I normally use Nivea products but they don't do too too much. I can already feel and see a difference in my lips while using Baby Lips. I'm hooked. Obsessed. And loving them!

  11. I saw this at Walgreens but it was like like $8.50 for 2 Baby Lips... I do want to try the Coral one though, IF they make it permanent 'cos I haven't seen the coral one at Target
