One more thing: don't forget that the 40% off makeup sale at drugstore.com ends TODAY (10/20), in case you've been thinking about an order. I've been absolutely loving reading through the comments from last week's Wednesday Question about your hauls during this sale, and to those of you who ordered my Holy Grail face primer, I would absolutely love to know what you think of it once you've given it a try. *fingers crossed you love it as much as I do*
Thanks to Chele and Lisa for the heads-up about these deals!
Hi G! Can't believe its the last day for 40% off at drugstore.com! I'm from India, my cousin is travelling back home from US in Jan. Should I go buy everything now or will the sale at Drugstore.com or CVS or Ulta happen around Nov., Dec.
ReplyDeletePlease please temme ! I have no clue if the Fall sale is better or the Winter sale in US :(
I'm so sorry, but it's impossible for me to know what the sales at the drugstores will be like in Nov and Dec. That type of information is only released a few weeks ahead of time at the most. So, depending on what you want to buy, I cannot tell you which sale is better. What I CAN tell you is that the drugstore.com sale is very unusual since we don't have too many 40% off sales for drugstore products here in the US. So I would take advantage of that if you can!
DeleteThanks a lot for replying G! Sadly, I can't tell my cousin to place the order right now, he is holidaying in NYC! Damn :(
DeleteBut I'll keep checking your blog for all the updates! Thanks, again! :)
You're so welcome! I'm sorry you can't take advantage of this sale, but don't worry because there will probably be lots of great sales at the drugstores in the next two months. :D
DeleteI'm so excited to try the face primer! Can't wait for my order to come.
ReplyDeleteYay!! I soooo hope you love it, hun. Keep me posted? :)
DeleteI'll definitely do that! :D
DeleteSince I bought a whole bunch of stuff with my drugstore.com order, the first time I used the primer, I wasn't sure if the results were due to the primer or my new powder (Rimmel Stay Matte). So I used the BR Primer with a typical foundation routine (that includes UD De-Slick, Clinique Stay Matte foundation, and powder) and then I used it with the primer I had previously been using (Sephora branded one that was on clearance). I have to say the BR primer truly made a huge difference. I really think, like you said, the kaolin makes a difference. I can go a few hours longer without lots of breakthrough shine. My skin will feel a little oily but it won't be shiny, if that makes sense. I used it like you said (right after moisturizer) and have not had any problems with it! Thanks so much for the awesome recommendation!
DeleteOut of curiousity, is it possible to use a mineral poweder foundation with the Black Radiance Primer? I know in your review you said it was slightly tacky, so I'm just worried about application, since you have to buff mineral foundation into the skin to get an even look. Thanks so much!!!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh,.i'm so sorry but I have never used a mineral foundation on top of it, so I can't say for sure. BUT, I have used powder foundation over it probably hundreds of times and it works beautifully. Hope that helps a bit!
DeleteThat helps immensely! Thanks!
DeletePSA!!! Just want to point out that the BBW coupon for "Buy $10/Get 1 Free Signature Item worth up to $12" that Annette posted last week is still good for a few more days and can be combined with today's BBW deal, getting you even more free stuff!
ReplyDeleteCoupon is here: http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/category/index.jsp?categoryId=11902931
Keira, you ROCK!!!! Thanks SO much for letting us know that! Whoo hoo!!! :)
DeleteWell thank you, Ms. G. To sweeten the deal further, today at checkout I received a coupon for "A Free Item of Your Choice (up to $13)/With Any Purchase of $15 or More". That promotion begins 10/29 and runs through 11/25.
DeleteI am leaving the house right now to jump on this sale before work - this is awesome. I'm getting candles for sure!!!
