New beauty freebies, deals, sales and a Pinterest contest

NOTE: if you haven't clicked on the You Tell Me page lately (link in the upper menu bar of this blog), I strongly urge you to give it a read. In the past 48 hours there are have been so many great deals submitted by YOU that I just can't begin to list them all. Thanks, as always, to all contributors for making that page an invaluable resource for all of us!

I've got some great deals to share with that that are either going on now or about to start within the next few days, so keep these babies on your radar, add them to your calendar, etc.:
Here's one I received directly from L'Occitane:
Have you tried L’Occitane’s world famous Shea Butter Hand Cream? If not, now is the time to do so! It is so popular that one is sold every three seconds around the world! Starting October 1st through October 14th, log onto Facebook and click to “Like” the L’Occitane fan page to receive a free 10ML tube of the hand bag essential – perfect to combat dry hands during the colder months ahead. If 500,000 fans are reached from October 1st-October 14th, the Shea Butter Hand Cream will be upgraded to the 30ML size tube and you will receive a voucher for 15% off your next purchase that can be redeemed at any L’Occitane store, nationwide!
Keep reading for lots of additional deals...

Don't forget that you've still got today, Friday and Saturday to take advantage of the 40% off sale on NYX, Revlon, Almay and Physicians Formula cosmetics at Ulta (online and in-store). You can use this $3.50 off a $10 purchase coupon either in-store or online. And thanks to reader Lisa for letting us know that you can use code 81436 for $5 off $15 purchase online.

Thanks to reader Gwen for the heads-up that Orly is on HauteLook NOW (ends Sat. 9/29 at 8AM Pacific). As of the time of this post, there are lots of full-size polishes for $4.50 and there are sets and treatments for sale as well (a few polishes have sold out so I'd hurry for the best selection).
***
Thanks to reader J for this one: FREE Sephora makeup bag with goodies 9/28 through 9/30, no purchase necessary. This is an in-store event at select Sephora locations across the country. Click here for more info.

Thanks to reader candice nicole for the heads-up that MAC Cosmetics is on Beyond The Rack now through October 1st, with more items added on a regular basis (per the site). If you're new to Beyond The Rack, they're a members-only shopping site like HauteLook etc. and instant, free registration. As of the time of this post, they had regular eyeshadow singles for $11.99, MSFs for $17.99, lots of limited edition shadows and much, much more.

Thanks to reader Annette for this one: The Body Shop is running a $10 off $20 offer valid in-store and online 9/27/12 - 9/30/12.
***
Thanks to reader Beauty Obsessed for this one: $1.98 shipping on orders $15+ on the e.l.f. website with code ECD6. I did a little digging and apparently this code has been around for several months but it's still being reported as valid as of today. BUT it's only for "new users" (not sure if that means new first-time customers to the elf website, or just new users of the code itself). Doesn't hurt to try, right?

Thanks to reader Annette for this one: Now until October 14th,  janecosmetics.com customers can receive 20% off a purchases of $14.99 or more when you use the code JaneIPSY (Per Annette: "I didn't complete the order, but my checkout page showed no charge for shipping.").

  4. It's crazy! I got 2 of the Vitamin E moisture creme and 1 vitamin E night creme for only 35 cents!!!!
    Let's see the math.
Vitamin E moisture creme and vitamin E night creme are currently on sale for $8.25 and $10.
2*8.25+10=26.5, then I used my LOVE YOUR BODY 4 POINTS GIFT $15 OFF and with the 10% off comes with the membership card, it is down to $10.35. Now use the coupon (yes, the coupon still works!), it becomes 35 cents only!!!! That's insane!!!

If you buy it online, there is a $5.95 shipping charge, but I am just gonna get mine from the store!
Thank you so much for the info.

  5. thanks so much for posting this! i feel like this is so much easier to read than the you tell me page, and i feel like you'd post the more important stuff here out of the you tell me page. but i really should look at the you tell me page more often to see if there's anything that's interesting particularly to me! thanks again for posting!

  6. I purposely went back to find this post to thank you for posting it in the first place! haha.
My mom and I each got a L’Occitane hand cream! When I went, it was only the shea butter one. But when my mom got the e-mail she got to choose from the shea butter, lavender, or peony! And the peony smells heavenly!
On top of that, I was chosen as one of the runner-ups for the Thyme Scavenger hunt!
I love your blog so much! It's not always great for my wallet, hehe, but this post got me some awesome free stuff! :D
