Important update on the Coterie Butter LONDON offer

If you caught my post yesterday about how to get 4 full-size Butter LONDON products for $11 with free shipping, then you know that people have been receiving a "Sold Out" message when attempting to make a purchase.

I just heard from my contact (PR working on behalf of Coterie) and I can confirm that Coterie is replenishing their inventory as we speak. So if you haven't been able to take advantage of this deal yet, please keep trying. You should be able to make your purchase very soon.

Remember: the deadline to get your $25 credit is Monday, 9/17, so don't wait to sign up!

Also, let me answer a few popular questions I've been receiving about this offer and Coterie in general:

  • Coterie is a new member-only shopping site dedicated to higher end beauty products. It's free to join and you must be a member in order to participate in any future deals they offer through their site. This is not a monthly beauty-box type of site and you won't need to pay fees in order to take advantage of future offers.

  • The only offer currently on the Coterie website is the Butter LONDON offer I showed you in this post. If you do not want to order the Butter LONDON polishes, I highly advise you to still sign up for the $25 credit, because you'll be able to use this credit on a FUTURE order for another brand.

  • Coterie has not released any other offers yet because the site has not officially launched (the Butter LONDON offer is a special pre-launch offer). But there is an "Upcoming Offers" feature at the bottom of the page and the brands that will be on sale in the future include Stila, Kevin Aucoin, Perricone MD and Susan Posnick. I do not know what other brands will be offered in the future at this point, but again, save your credit if you don't want to make a purchase now. You'll be able to use this $25 on a future purchase.

I hope this helps, and if you have any additional questions, please leave them in the comments and I'll do my best to get you answers.

  2. How long does this offer last? The only time it said "in stock" for me, I couldn't get the colors I wanted. :(

  3. So i'm assuming that if we wait to buy something else, the "vipmember" code will still work to give us the $25 credit?

  4. Oh, yay! Another chance! I am really, really excited to get these polishes--especially since they happen to have several colors that were actually on my wish list already. I'm going to just keep obsessively rechecking the site.
I'm super curious about the Stila sale, now, too.
Great, another outlet for my makeup addiction. Just what my pocketbook needed, LOL!

  5. I've been checking since you posted this, refreshing, signing in and out, and yet it keeps saying sold out. Did I somehow miss it, or do you have any idea when it will be restocked?

  6. same here I've been checking since I seen your post and still shows sold out on all

  7. You don't have to sign in and out, just refresh the page. It said "buy" one time for me, but said "sold out" when I tried to checkout. :(

    1. I've had the same problem!.. And I refreshed constantly yesterday and it always says sold out now :-/..

  8. Did the $25 credit pop up in the "credits" tab? I signed up/in using your instructions and link but don't see any credit.

  9. Hey everyone! I've read all of your questions and I'm currently trying to get answers for each of them from my contact at Coterie. As soon as I get more info, I will update this post, so please check back a little later. Thank you!

  10. Woot woot! Thanks for the news! My wish list is always too long and heavy for my wallet. It's good for me to know in advance :D

  11. I signed up yesterday using your instructions and did not receive a credit either.

    1. I ordered mine yesterday and I didn't see a credit on my account, but when I went to checkout I used the vipmember code and then it took off the $25

  12. I don't think it's an actual store credit, I don't know why people are calling it that. I've gotten two emails with two separate $25 off codes, including the one in this post that expires on Monday. They're just coupons.

  13. when you say credit, you mean the code you use at checkout will still work on a future purchase, correct? It's not like 9/18 will roll around and that code will no longer be valid? Because to me, a coupon code and a $25 credit are different things, and I wanna make sure I understand what you mean.

    1. Considering that the language on both the $25 off emails I've received say "enter promo code at checkout", these "credits" work just like coupons.

It is acceptable to say "receive a $25 credit towards your next purchase" in a colloquial way, but coupon code/promo code and credit have separate meanings when it comes to the lil' ol' beauty shopping world.

In other news, looks like I, at least, just missed a restock.

    2. The restock lasted about 20 seconds. I couldn't get the code to work anyway. It just said it couldn't "find the code", it "might be expired" or I "might have used it already"... and then it said sold out again after fighting with it for those few seconds. *SIGH*

    3. Same thing happened to me. I understand selling out, but to provide a code, give an expiration date and then not have it work is really disappointing, esp. since I've been obsessively stalking the site since I first heard about the offer :(

  14. Well, shoot, I guess I'm not going to get these. I can't spend all day refreshing the page and have been getting constant "Sold Out" since I first looked yesterday. Faildogs.

  16. the code "vipmember" doesn't work when i try to check out

    ReplyDelete
  17. Nope. Doesn't work for me either. I'm sad. Because I refreshed the page and it finally said "BUY" instead of "SOLD OUT" and I freaked out. But the code doesn't work. Womp womp.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Still says SOLD OUT and though I joined and received an email confirmation of doing so, the email did not contain any mention of getting $25 coupon / coupon code / discount / whatever-you-want-to-call-it

It just said welcome, stay tuned for their big debut and encouraged me to invite my friends to join the site.

I wonder if the $25 thing is done with?

  19. The polishes are showing as available on the website, but the $25 coupon isn't working. It's saying that the promo has expired. Also, I never got an email from Coterie with any other $25 coupon codes. :( I really want to get these polishes! So far, I'm not impressed with Coterie.

  20. The polishes are back, but the promo code is not working. It's saying it's expired. :( I'm so pissed, I really wanted these polishes! So far, I'm really not impressed with Coterie.

  21. the promo code is expired now 9/17; 6:32 a.m. PDT but the polishes are on "buy" now.

  22. Just a heads up - tried the promo code this morning on the restocked butter London and it says the promo code is now expired. Super bummed to have missed out on the $25!

  23. The butter london is back in stock, but I just tried the code and it said it was expired :(

  25. They were finally back in stock after being sold out all weekend. I see the code didn't work for some people. I just placed my order this morning and the code worked or me. I would suggest try again.

  26. Well, blow me down. I take back everything bad I said. Jennifer, thanks for your comment because I tried again and the code worked. So 3 BLs (I got Bluey, Knackered, and West End Wonderland) and the matte top coat for a total of $15.99.

THANK YOU, Nouveau Cheap and Jennifer!

  27. I just tried today 9/17/12 and it worked. Butter London polishes were in stock and the code works! I am just not sure if the code will work on a future order. Kevyn Aucoin makeup is on sale today!

  28. I wanted to add that I couldn't get free shipping with my butter london order. I had to pay $4.99! I thought it was free shipping :(

    ReplyDelete
  29. It isnt free shipping!! How do I get free shipping?

    ReplyDelete
  30. I spent about 10 minutes trying to add different color combos to my bag but kept getting the message "Not enough product available. Try a different color." It never indicated which colors were actually sold out and every combo I tried was rejected so I finally gave up trying to buy. Ugh, frustration.

  31. I just got mine! Promo code works :) Unfortunately no free shipping ... but still, $16 for $56 worth of butter london is a pretty good deal!

  32. Just got knackered, west end wonderland, all hail the queen, & the matte top coat (since I have plenty of clear top coats)! This is my first butter LONDON purchase since I can't bear to pay 15-16$ for one polish. The colors look gorgeous & I can't wait to try them out. Total was $15.99 ( no free shipping but still a major score!). Thanks a bunch G.!
