A tale of two reds: my latest purchases from Zoya

I don't know why exactly, but I've been on a red kick lately. Maybe it's because I've stayed away from red polishes for probably the past two years, but I'm really embracing my reds at the moment and I wanted to show you the latest additions to my collection, which I purchased recently from Zoya (retail: $8 each):

Zoya Stacy is a wine-colored jelly-creme that went on rather sheer for the first two coats (see above). A third coat made it more opaque, but it's a bit finicky for my liking, especially since there are so many super-opaque wine-colored shades out there.

Next we have Zoya Delilah:

I blame Scrangie and her beautiful swatch of Delilah for this purchase. Delilah is a gorgeous red jelly with fine red glitter. Before top coat (see pic above) it's a little bit bumpy-looking, but one layer of top coat smoothes it out beautifully (see below).

Do you have a favorite red from Zoya?

  1. America is one of my favorite reds ever, and probably my second favorite polish from Zoya, after Petra.

  2. I got Tamsen during the Valentine's promo, and I really love it! I'm not much of a red person, but this one is a perfect shade for me. :) Nice and tomatoey rather than blue, pink or brown leaning.

  3. I'm a big fan of both reds and Zoya. My favorites are Isla, which is kind of blackened around the edges, and Posh, a matte red. Next red Zoya will be Sooki.

  5. I know how this looks, but I truly love Zoya Diana. It's such a great red. I believe it has a jelly consistency too. I'm so glad this polish shares my name, because otherwise I probably would have overlooked it. A red is a red, right?! Wrong! I really like Zoya Sarah too. It's a little more on the pink side of red though, but it's full of sparkly goodness. It just happens to be my sister's name! Ha!

  6. I have Lisa, it's a gorgeous medium red glass fleck. I would love to get Isla, so vampy, or Sarah which is sort of in between Lisa and Isla.

  7. I love Vanessa! I find that cooler, berry-toned reds go best with my skintone, and Vanessa is a rich raspberry creme. Love!

  8. I love all of Zoya's reds, especially the blackened reds like Isla, Colbie and Blair!

  9. The only Zoya red I have is Sarah (my namesake color) and while it's really pretty, I rarely wear it. I really want Sooki though.

I usually get greens and purples from Zoya. They do them amazingly well. <3

  10. Hehe, Scrangie 'helped' me figure out which red polish I wanted to get from Zoya first. Delilah is so beautiful. Cherry red with a tiny hint of pink.
I love it. Wearing it on my toes right now. xD

It's actually my first real red polish out of my collection.

  11. I got America during their valentine's day promotion and I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it. I've had it on my nails since Saturday (it was the perfect color for the Mad Men party I hosted)

I have Zoya Blair that I don't wear at this time of year, a more vampy type of red, I thought it's great for winter time!

  17. LOVE Delilah! So pretty! I'm such a sucker for sparkles! Stacy looks nice, too. My favorite wine cream polish is Plum Pudding by CoverGirl (Boundless Color). Goes on smooth and wears well!
