Several lovely readers have told me about this new, SUPER affordable stamping kit from Fingr's (almost half the price of the Salon Express Stamping Kit!) but I have not been able to find it in my area. Thankfully, reader Kimber of Kimber's Lacquer Korner tweeted me the other day and said I could share her great pics with you! For her detailed blog post about these products, be sure to check out her blog here.

And here's a great pic of Kimber's nails after using one of the plates:
Again, for a detailed and very informative review of these plates, check out Kimber's post here.
Thanks SO much, Kimber, for the fantastic info (and permission to use your pics!).
Have you spotted this new stamping kit in your area yet? Do you already own it? I'd love to hear from you!
I haven't seen this, but on Ulta's website, there's an Essence nail art stamping kit for only $3! It's always sold out though, and I haven't seen it in stores.
ReplyDeleteI picked this up the other day! The plates are good quality.. the designs are a little blah but you can't beat the price.. Even just for the stamp + scraper!
ReplyDeleteAh I want this! I had a nail kit forever ago and I lost all thr parts so I have been looking to replace it. Guess I will have to drive out to Walmart soon :)
ReplyDeleteI'm almost 100% sure my Walmart has these (I'll check tomorrow). I live in Wisconsin & never have anything nail polish related at my disposal. I suck at stamping & the plates look a lot like ones I have so I probably won't be getting these.
ReplyDeleteI JUST bought this the other day, even though I've been eyeing it for ages. I found it in my local Wal Mart, but didn't see the extra plate kit. I tried it and it works super well! Now to find some good/cheap plates!
ReplyDeleteI bought the salon express kit from CVA. No matter what kind of polish I use I can't get it to work at all. I even filed the stamper, as suggested. Anyone know what's wrong? I'd so love to use these!
ReplyDeleteIt really depends on how thick your nail polish is. Sometimes, when I do it, the polish has already dried up.
DeleteOh dang. And to think I just spend a fortune buying the Konad sets... =(
ReplyDeleteAuntie Creatch, did you try pure acetone on the stamper? Be sure it dries before you stamp with it and work quickly so your polishes don't dry out. Also be sure to use metallic polishes or most of Sally Hansen insta dri, they seem to work better.
ReplyDeleteNicole, try bundlemonster.com for some awesome affordable plates.
Salon express kit is actually a great deal considering you get five plates plus the double sided stamper for ten bucks.
I saw this at Walmart it's really hiding at my Walmart though, and it was like $3 for the one with one plate, I didn't see the one with two. It was definitely hiding though so look around by the nail polishes and see if you can find it. I might pick it up just to have the plate(s). I got the CVS Salon Express kit for $7 when I used a $3 extra bucks coupon, and I love it! I can now stamp with Red, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Rapid Red, because it shows up on the Salon Express Stamper! I am very happy. Thanks for posting this!
ReplyDeleteAnyone else see this and covet Kimber's phone almost as much as the stamping kit? :-)
ReplyDeleteI'd be much happier if Fing'rs or Salon Express would also offer a set of inexpensive stamping polishes to go with their plate sets too. Hopefully we'll see that soon. I stamp with the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polishes and others because those Konad stamping polishes are just too expensive.
ReplyDeleteReading all these comments have given me some help with stamping and going to take a nother crack at it after I get some Sally Hansen Inst-Dri polish! I have been an epic failure at it. One quick question for anyone that can answer this, is it better to move the stamper vertically or horizontally across the nail?
ReplyDeleteI use the stamper and roll it horizontally across the nail with firm but even pressure. The best polish I've had for stamping has been Silver Sweep from Sally Hansen Insta-Dri, it's AWESOME! Hope that helps!
DeleteI have the Konads.... and i think the quick and easy answer to the frustrations is to do it quick (...and easy). The first time I did it, it kept drying up on me, but my friend told me that I had like a short 5second or so window to pick it up and to stamp. So definitely try that. It definitely need practice, but if you get it down to a quick pick up and stamp... you're good to go. =D
ReplyDeleteOooooooh. Stamping plates are hard to find. And are usually the same ones for me....unless i buy online. Lol must find these!
ReplyDeleteWish they sold these in UK stores :(
ReplyDeleteI got it at wal-mart today!
