Lipstick Question of the Week:
Which non beauty sites do you visit daily?
G's Answer: My guilty pleasure is gossip blogs, but I also love to visit news and political blogs (too many to list) and other budget-oriented blogs like Budget Bytes (food) and Dollar Store Crafts (crafting). I also LOVE LOVE LOVE sites like The "Blog" of "Unnecessary" Quotation Marks and Apostrophe Abuse for my daily dose of grammar humor, and of course Passive-Aggressive Notes. I am also addicted to Gen Xtinct, Craftster, Film School Rejects, Etsy and lately I've been obsessed with Pinterest (who isn't though, right?). Eventually I will join...I just need to find the time!

What non-beauty blogs do you visit daily?
One of my favorite "wasting time" sites is Not Always Right. I've almost always had customer service jobs and the public can be irritating, and frustrating, as well as hilarious, and sweet. These are the stories of dealing with all the "weirdos" you can come across.

I also can waste days on Cracked, but I must warn you that it's generally male high school/college type humor and can be pretty politically incorrect. But I have a thing for useless info and trivia and you can definitely get your fill of that there(, even though I would like to reach through the screen and slap some of the writers/commenters silly for homophobia, sexism, racism, etc.)

My personal daily web schedule is: hotmail, weather.com (which links to my local news), facebook, and youtube. Of course I get beauty stuff in my mail, facebook, and youtube sooooo.... but there is other stuff in there as well. Pretty much everywhere else I go is directed from one of those "dailies", unless I need something specific. I love cracked lol, but I have to be careful I can spend an hour there without realizing it.
ReplyDeleteI really like this blog post. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI'm also sorry to say that I really don't visit non-beauty related blogs daily all that much. But I do like keikolynn.com (who does makeup AND fashion) and http://joannagoddard.blogspot.com/
What is the lipstick league & what's the url for their website? I'm curious. Thanks! :)
