What's your current favorite drugstore eyeliner, and why?
The one drugstore liner I've been using more than all of my others lately is my trusty Jordana InColor Fabu Liner in Black. I've owned a zillion felt-tip black liners in my life and nothing--nothing--compares to this one.
I use the L’Oreal Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner. I love this liner!
ReplyDeleteAgreed! I tried switching to the Jordana liquid eyeliner after my L'Oreal eyeliner ran out... never again. I honestly think it's the applicator, I have such a hard time applying precise strokes with the very tip of the Jordana eyeliner.
DeleteI have been loving the Physians Formula eyeliner trio, for blue eyes. I like having all three colors in my makeup bag so I can wear brown for work, black for night, and blue for a POP of color.
ReplyDeleteMilani liquidfye pencils, easy no tug application, paraben free, intense pigmentation and they stay put and affordable.
ReplyDeleteToatlly agree...I was going to add my comment..but couold not have said it better! Mine stays on almost all day!!
DeleteMy favorite is definitely Prestige Total Intensity liner - it lasts forever without smudging or smearing.
ReplyDeleteSuch a good question since eye liner is one of the only makeup products i actually run out of and need to repurchase on a more regular basis! I'm excited to see these responses!
ReplyDeleteFor pencil liners, I love the Milani Liquif'eye liners in black or brown. For gel, I love the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner in blackest black or eggplant.
I've been faithfully using Maybelline's Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black. The staying power is A-MAZ-ING! I can wear it all day and it doesn't smudge or fade.
ReplyDeleteI cannot say I have found a holy grail eye liner from ANYWHERE let alone a drugstore. For years I used a Rimmel automatic pencil and I do like it but its waterproof and while I like it for summer when there are sweatier workouts or pool parties, otherwise I have been wearing Liquif'eye and PF gel liners for blue eyes...I like them but do not love them...so the seach continues....
ReplyDeletePrestige waterproof eyeliner because it's the only one that doesn't irritate my eyes. I also like Prestige's liquid liner.
ReplyDeleteI'm with ya! Sadly, mine is running low, so I'm gonna have to pick up a new one. I heard wet n wild has something similar to it. Have you tried it?

Honestly, I haven't found ONE. Eyeliner smudges on me like a mother bear, even liquid, gel, or 99% of all waterproof. The only eyeliner that I've found that doesn't smudge as easily on me is Sephora's retractable waterproof pencil liner. It's only $12, so it's not a crazy price, and it last pretty much all day for me, aside from some minute smudging in the outer corners of my lower lash line.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried setting your eyeliner with a similar colored eyeshadow? That would help it stay put.
DeleteSo far my favorite is Maybelline eye studio gel in brown. It is the only one I have found that I can put above or below my lashes that applies nicely, stays where I put it, and doesn't mess with my eyes. I have quite a few that are in the "testing phase" right now of different types and formulas, but that has been the best. I like the PF nude liners colors, but they tend to be blotchy. I like the "glide" of some of the "liquid pencil liners" but they seem to get in my eyes and really irritate them. The elf gel liners I tried were a HORRIBLE, chunky, mess. Black Radiance gel liner was ok, as was the PF gels, but not as nice as the Maybelline though.
ReplyDeleteLove prestige eyeliner!!!
ReplyDeleteDepends on what kind of eyeliner I want to use. My faves currently:
ReplyDeletePencil: Revlon Luxurious Color Smoky Crayon Liner. It's chunky and works awesome for smoky eye.
Automatic: Physicians Formula trios or Milani. Whichever I find first when fumbling.
cream: tarte
liquid/felt tip: Jordana Fabuliner (on your suggestion! Thanks!)
i love the revlon colorstay twist up pencil eyeliner. no sharpening needed!
ReplyDeleteI love the Revlon Colorstay (the "inkwell" style).
ReplyDeleteI also really like the Maybelline Eye Studio gel eyeliner, but that takes me a bit more effort, so I don't use it as often! ;)
