I want to give a HUGE thanks to my amazing Twitter pal, @rnsmithny, for this one!
The other day I mentioned that Body & Soul posted info on the newest LE Revlon polish shade, Black with Envy, which is apparently a dupe of Chanel Black Pearl. For those of you late to the game, last fall Revlon released a dupe of Chanel Paradoxal called Perplex.
When Revlon tweeted about this new LE polish shade, they mentioned that when Black with Envy releases, it will be paired up with another super-special LE product. I think we all assumed that it would be another nail polish, but apparently we were wrong!
@rnsmithny found the LE display in her area, and she has confirmed that Black with Envy is in a display with a new ColorBurst lipstick called Fashion's Night Pout. Check it out:

@rnsmithny confirmed that the display ONLY contains these two products, and that the display itself says, "Right off the Runway!" in much the same way as the Perplex display did.

Another HUGE thanks to @rnsmithny for the scoop!
I think it must be a dupe of MAC Gaga 2
ReplyDeleteIs this the same as Fashion's Night Pout? Because I lemmed that SO HARD like you wouldn't believe.
ReplyDeletejbrobs: See, I considered that too, and you may absolutely be right, but "Fashion's Night Out" isn't really a play on "Gaga 2", in the same way that Paradoxal/Perplex and Black Pearl/Black with Envy are. Hum...
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I have no knowledge of anything lipsticky, so I can't help you there. I can't wait to see swatches of Black With Envy, though!
ReplyDeleteclementine: OMG! Let me confirm with @rnsmithny on the name (I don't personally own it so I'll need to ask her to double-check the label). THANK YOU SO MUCH! I think you might be onto something here!!
ReplyDeleteThis was posted about here: http://theplasticdiaries.com/face/revlon-fashions-night-pout-colorburst-lipstick/ in September during the shopping event started by Vogue called "Fashion's Night Out." Google it to learn more, it's quite the large event in diff cities. The lipstick was worn during the Rag & Bone runway show & during FNO was sold for $50 at the R&B Boutique...although some $ went to charity. The link above has a link to Temptalia that posted pics from the R&B runway show, it's pretty nude almost sheer looking.
ReplyDeleteThe nail polish looks more blue than Chanel Black Satin, does it have duo-chrome?
It definitely looks like Viva Glam Gaga II, but it seems to be out pretty quickly if that's the intent. And I actually /don't/ want to think it is, because VG is for charity, and the thought of anyone copying a product sold for charity and selling it for profit just makes me cringe.
ReplyDeleteI somehow missed the hype around Fashion's Night Pout, but the new lipstick could very well be that.
Ughhh, now I need both of these. I need to find a display, and soon. Did the awesomely helpful @rnsmithny share at what store she found said display?
FNP makes sense!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see how this compares to the Soft Nude and Icy Nude ColorBurst Lipsticks, it looks pretty similar to Soft Nude..
ReplyDeleteI found this article:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.bellasugar.com/Revlon-Fashions-Night-Pout-Lipstick-Gucci-Westman-10939049
I guess it was just a runway-exclusive shade. Not a dupe of anything in particular. :)
Oooohh...I can't wait to see the swatch! It looks so pretty in the tube.
ReplyDeleteBY the way, I read your little body wash story. I swear, that cashier makes me mad!
Looking forward to hopefully finding these at my local drug stores. :]
ReplyDeleteThe lipstick looks like one of the regular ones, but perhaps it's just the picture
ReplyDeleteDuring Fashion Week last year, Revlon hosted a Twitter giveaway offering "Fashion's Night Pout", which I won, and this shade looks exactly like this new one (and the names are extremely similar)! If they are the same, it's a peach nude - not a dupe for Gaga 2, but very nice. It's not so concealer-for-lips-ish, as Gaga 2 is. Those who don't like the entirely muted lip look will definitely enjoy Revlon's!
ReplyDeleteThe lip color looks too peachy for MAC VG Gaga 2 to e. but it reminds me of Chanel Rouge Allure Peregina from the latest spring collection. Sabrina at The Beauty Look Book has a swatch comparison.
ReplyDeleteAnd if I remember correctly, didn't Revlon tweet something about another nail polish shade coming out in May too? I think it was called "Obsessed" or something like that?
ReplyDeleteOh and G, the website is Body and Soul, not Beauty and Soul. Although I'm sure Mary will be pleased with that particular mistake! lol
To my eye this looks like Chanel Beige Felin. I have this shade but I may have misspelled it wrong. Cant wait for Black with Envy! Hope the hunt is easier than Perplexed!
ReplyDeleteThe polish looks beautiful. The lipstick honestly looks like a concealer stick to me. I don't find making your lips invisible all that appealing, but to each his own. Thanks for the scoop!
ReplyDeleteI really like the look of the lipstick, looks like a very pretty nude :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, everyone, for your great input! I just checked with @rnsmithny and the name of the lipstick IS Fashion's Night Pout, so Clementine and RJ were right! Looks like this much-coveted shade will be easier for us to find soon!
ReplyDeleteAnd Donna--thanks! I knew that, but in my typing frenzy I got it wrong. :)
As a Freudian slip, it's a good one, I'm sure that Mary will be pleased to know that when you think of her blog you think of beauty!
ReplyDeleteI apparently live at the end of the world because NO store near me ever got Perplex but I have to have this nail polish, it looks absolutely stunning!
ReplyDeleteif anyone is still looking for either these or wants to grab a backup, my Walgreens just got the Fashion Night display with the lippie and polish a few days ago. Seriously. I realize it's a couple months late but it was fully stocked when I saw it - better late than never, I guess?
