New nail polish shades from American Apparel

As a lot of you know, I was very excited when American Apparel released their nail color collection at the end of last year. A lot of the shades just totally spoke to me, and I reviewed the ones I purchased here.

When I was catching up with my beauty news articles today, I spotted this article from Style.com.  American Apparel has just launched six new shades (five colors and one clear) and I'd love to know what you think of their latest offerings. Here they are (all images from AmericanApparel.com):

 California Trooper
 Butter
 L Esprit
 Malibu Green
Summer Peach

So, what do you think? Anything catching your eye?

  1. L Esprit looks different from anything I've seen lately, I'm interested in that one in particular.
I'm curious to take a look at their other colors!

  4. The name California Trooper instantly reminded me of the TV show CHiPs. I would love to have Butter. It looks so creamy!

  6. In Her Makeup Bag: I totally agree! I am an absolute sucker for light periwinkle and lavender cremes, so this one is going to be a must-have for me, for sure. :)

wingsinheaven5: Yes, yes and yes!! I am right there with ya, girlie! :)

amusedpolish: OMG, I was just telling the lovely Jeweled Thumb that I neeeed this shade for toes this summer. OMG, what a perfect pedi color! Oh, and what shades did you buy? Tell me all about it, please! :)

thedogismine: OMG, that's the exact same visual I got too! CHiPs was the best show EVER! lol. And the funny thing is that since I live in CA, you'd think I'd just be reminded of normal Highway Patrol officers when I hear "California Trooper", but nooooo. My mind went directly to Ponch and John! lol!!

Lace Escapades: I totally agree. See, at first I was thinking I needed just one, maybe two of these shades, but the more I look at them, the more I want them ALL. :)

Amber: I know, right? It's so soft and pretty! And I think it would look AH-MAAAAZE-ING against your skintone. Get it, girl! :)

  7. i bought mount royal, passport blue and peacock- love all three of them

AND they were not that overpriced *cough*opi*cough* 3 for 17€, which is not bad considering they have to ship all things across the pond till they sell them here ^^

  8. I just stumbled across your blog and love it. I actually do some work for american apparel and helped with the nail collection. I went back and read your older review and glad you liked those too. Oh and just for random factoid's sake. Mount Royal is named after Mont Royal in Montreal. It's one of the biggest social and cultural landmarks of Montreal; Dov's home city, mine as well as other american apparel employees. Thanks for the great blog

  11. I have a ton of American Apparel polishes, and just got all the new ones minus the top/base coat and Butter...I swatched it at the store and it looked really bad on me. Plus I have Lemon Fixx from China Glaze :)). They are great colors. I wore the Peach one with China Glaze Medallion over it.
