Breaking News: e.l.f. to hit Target Stores Nov. 1st!

I saw some updates on Twitter earlier today about e.l.f. products being available at Target soon, so I decided to go straight to the source and I contacted the always kind and helpful Ted Rubin, Chief Marketing Officer for e.l.f., for the scoop.

Let me end the questions and speculation right now and tell you that YES, e.l.f. products WILL be available at all 1,700+ Target stores in the US beginning Nov. 1st!

e.l.f. cosmetics will have its own display with "a good amount of items including singles and gift sets." WHOO HOO!!!!!

As for exactly which items will be available, I'll have more on that tomorrow, so please stay tuned.

[NOTE: For additional information regarding e.l.f. at Target, click here for my updated post]

Until then, what do YOU want to see from e.l.f. at Target?

  2. The studio line!

Honestly, everything from the 'normal' line that I've tried (shadows, liners, mascara) were poop. I gave them all away! I would love to try the studio line without paying the insane $7 shipping, ugh!

  3. I hope to see the complete line of Mineral and Studio products. I also hope for the nail polish and the same prices that are on the website! That's really important. We should also be able to use the coupons we get online in the store. If all those things are done it will be a total WIN!!

  4. I see the $1 items at 99 cent stores already, so I'd really like to see the Studio and Mineral items at Target. I want to see the Mineral line at Target in particular because I love their lipsticks and want to try more shades without having to pay $6.95 in shipping fees. I don't really care for the Studio items I've purchased (lip stains, blushes, bronzers, eye primer/sealer, e/s) but I'd be willing to try more items from that line out if I don't have to pay shipping.

  5. Oooh, I'm so excited! I bought a bunch of stuff online a couple months ago from them and liked almost all of it. But I really hate paying shipping and makeup is usually an impulse buy for me anyway, so this'll be great. I do hope they have the mineral and studio lines in stores.

  6. Yay! It sounds like everyone is as excited as I am about e.l.f. becoming available at Target! I've received some more details about what we can expect, and as soon as I get answers to a few other questions, I will post an update (by tomorrow morning). Thanks for all the great feedback, ladies! xo

  8. My Target is has the ELF display up already!! I was just there earlier, and I almost stopped in my tracks when I saw it!

It replaced the Gemma Kidd display they had -- the signage for GK was still there, but ELF products were there instead (my Target is kind of ghetto but hopefully new signage will appear).

Everything that I saw was the normal $1 line, BUT there were a LOT of products that I hadn't seen on the website. They were packaged in sleek little black-packaged collections too, like 5 of the lipglosses for $5. The whole display looked to be brand new, and only one area was empty. I think it was was for false eyelashes?

Here's the products I remember seeing:
Liquid Eyeliners: There were at least two in the pack that I remembered seeing. The only color I really remember was a GLITTER eyeliner, sort of like the Urban Decay glitter eyeliners.

Some sort of lip palette: At first I thought it was like the cream eyeshadow duos because it's almost the exact same packaging, but when I looked closer it was for lips! There were pretty shades of pink and mauve if I remember right.

Set of 3 Liquid Eyeshadows: This was actually the one item I was going to buy (since I love liquid eyeshadows) but I put it back down because I was just buying my essentials. As far as I could tell the colors are all brand new. One was a very pretty gold color, one was kind of glittery, and I'm blanking out on the third. :P

There were at least a dozen other different sets of products there, I just can't really remember exactly what was in them! One had various eye products (including this awful light brown mascara haha), another was some brushes (the scratchy ones), and again the lip glosses set. None of the sets are on the website.

I really wish I had taken a picture! A part of me is a little disappointed that they're products from the normal line (while there are some gems, I definitely prefer the mineral and Studio lines), but maybe if it's popular enough it'll expand out? :)

  10. Wow, ELF at Target is gonna bring a lot of customers I feel like. I'd def go and buy it. I like ELF but the idea of paying $6 for shipping (another smart way to get people to spend more than a few bucks for each order) bugs me so I have only ordered there once.

  11. Hi Ladies! Thanks for all the additional feedback! Also, Rachel--thank you so much for the all the wonderful details! This is SO helpful and it only makes me even more excited to see the display in real life! Can't wait! Thanks so much for taking the time to describe what you could remember! I'm about to write an update with the information that e.l.f. has given me and it sounds like it corresponds to exactly what you saw. :)

  12. AHHH!! I am so excited! I've been keeping a list of ELF products that I wanted, but I've putting off ordering them because I don't really trust online ordering. It just seems sketchy to me... I mean, what if my order gets lost in the mail??

I'm really hoping that they will have the Studio line of brushes, the Mineral lipsticks, and the Mineral Eye Primer!

  13. My Target has had elf products for awhile now, but not a very big selection. Hopefully they will get more, like the mineral collection & more shadow quads! Thanks for the info!

  14. Hi Kitty! You know, I have strangely never been afraid of ordering things online. To tell you the truth, I've been doing it for probably over 10 yrs now and I have never, not once, had anything get lost in the mail that has been ordered from a retailer (or etailer) for home delivery. Plus, most companies allow you to track your order so you know exactly when it has shipped and when to expect it. I really wouldn't worry about that so much, but everyone's experience is different. :)

Hi Katy! OK, you are the second person to tell me that you've already seen elf at your local Target! Maybe they were testing the waters at select locations before they decided to roll out the big displays. Thanks for the comment. :)

  15. I tried the hypershine lip glosses they weren't bad but are very sheer. I would probably get them again because you cannot beat the price. They have a gift set I may swing back and pick up just to have some different colors to experiment with
