Reviews: e.l.f. Super Glossy Lip Shine & e.l.f. Aloe Vera Hand Sanitizer

I was lucky enough to receive a shipment of super fun products from e.l.f. recently, so this is Part I of an ongoing review. Let's get started!

Now, you know that e.l.f. is this recessionista's dream-come-true. You can't get a wider variety of beauty products for less money, anywhere. I mean, let's be serious: With the exception of some kits and bath & body products, all products cost $1 each if you order on the e.l.f. website. Such a no-brainer, and one of the many reasons I am a long-time fan of all things e.l.f.


e.l.f. Aloe Vera Infused Hand Sanitizer ($1, .5 oz)

I can't believe I didn't know that e.l.f. made a hand sanitizer! I love the tiny bottle which fits nicely in your bag, your car, etc. And unlike other drugstore hand sanitizers, this one actually does smell like aloe! Plus, it's not sticky or drying--my hands just feel nice and smooth after it dries. If you're already placing an e.l.f. order, I would definitely throw a couple of these in your shopping cart. Very handy (no pun intended!) to have around and great for the men in your life who might not want to use one of your sweet or flowery-scented sanitizers. :)

e.l.f. Super Glossy Lip Shine in "Angel" ($1, .35 oz)

Now, I am not a huge gloss person. I know, the horror! I love the look of a gloss, but I tend to lick my lips a lot or, as others say, "eat my gloss" so they just don't last on my lips for too long. But once in a while a gloss comes around that is just simply irresistible and I must say, "Angel" is a gloss that had me at hello. What you can't tell from this pic is that "Angel" is a clear gloss that contains teeny tiny multi-colored microglitter. And when I say "teeny tiny" I mean it. There is NO grittiness here. At all. It feels so smooth and decadent on your lips, and this baby LASTS. Take it from me, a chronic gloss-eater. I put this on at 10AM and three hours later I can not only still feel it, but I can still see on my lips. It leaves your lips with the prettiest little multi-colored sparkle that is not garish in the slightest. Really, this is not a gloss that's better left to tweens. The more "mature" woman can totally pull this off on a light makeup day and look gorgeous. It's the perfect alternative to clear gloss when you just want an extra little "oomph" but not "Hey, look at me!" lips. I tried my best to capture it in this pic:

Also, the flavor is "Grape Vanilla" which, to me, is a whole lot of YUM.
