If You Haven't Received Your Nordstrom $10 Credit Yet...


If you signed up for Nordstrom Rewards back when I blogged about it in the middle of June, then you qualified to receive a $10 credit from Nordstrom that you can use for the Anniversary Sale, which officially starts at Midnight Pacific on 7/22.

To be clear, you can still sign up for Nordstrom Rewards HERE, but the $10 credit promotion ended on July 10th and it is now over. So you will NOT receive a $10 credit if you join now (but I still think you should join if you haven't already, because you will accrue points with all of your purchases from Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack, both in-store and online, and also on HauteLook, which will earn you future rewards. If you're already making those purchases anyway, you might as well earn rewards, right?).

IF YOU SIGNED UP DURING THE $10 CREDIT PROMO AND YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR CREDIT YET:

Some of you received your $10 credit via email on 7/19 (thanks so much to everyone who took the time to let me know that) but I have not, and I know many of YOU have not as well, since several of you have been asking me about this here on the blog and via social media.

I did a live-chat with Nordstrom today, and they asked me to call the Nordstrom Credit Department at 1-800-964-1800 for further assistance (FYI, they're open 24/7). So I called, and I found out that the emails containing the $10 credit just started to be sent out yesterday (7/19). The representative I spoke with knew that some customers had not yet received theirs. He told me that we all should be getting our credits via email by 7/21, so to just keep on eye on my in-box (and also check my spam/trash folder).

UPDATE (7/21/16):

I have still not received my credit as of 6:30PM Pacific on 7/21. I called the number above twice today and also sent Nordstrom customer service an email. From what I can tell, based on conversations with various representatives, the $10 promo credit is being handled by a third party, which is why Nordstrom cannot just deposit the credit into our accounts. It has to come via email, and I was told the emails are coming in waves, with the last batch to be sent "by 7/22". WHEN on 7/22? I have no idea. Reader Jenn also received a response from Nordstrom via email and kindly shared the email response with us:

Thank you for contacting us. Due to the response for the promotion, the $10 promotional certificate will be sent via email in a phased rollout beginning July 19th- July 22nd. In the event that you do not receive the email by July 22, please contact CashStar at 1-844-639-8924.

If I can help you with any other questions, please feel free to send another message or call us at 1-800-964-1800. We’re here to take your call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to serving you.

If you do not receive your credit by 7/22, try giving CashStar a call at the number above and hopefully they can help. That's all I have for you so far, but please know that I'm in the same boat as many of you. Hopefully we get those emails any moment now!

  4. Are you already a Nordstrom rewards member if you have a Nordstrom credit card? This looks like the same benefits the card has.

    1. Yes. Cardmembers earn rewards faster, 2 points per dollar, and qualify for early access on the sale. I have Nordstrom Debit, so I know.
      The Rewards program is two tiered; one for Cardmembers, the other for those who use other types of Charge/credit/debit cards. They only accumulate one point per dollar.
      However, rewards are the same regardless.

    2. So, should I sign up for Nordstrom Rewards as well? Or would this not do anything for me, since I'm already a Nordstrom credit card holder?

    3. Erin, like frothe3 said above, you already earn 2 points per dollar, and the Rewards account only earns you 1 point per dollar. So you're all set and don't need to sign up for this. :)

  13. Hi G do u know what time exactly the sale starts for non card holders? I'm wanting to get the Lorac palette and very willing to stay up into the nite to get it. Great deal but I love and have thing for their palettes like this. They r suppose to have two different versions online also. Just watched EmilyNoel video on the sale. I thought I saw both the other day but not figuring it out today. I just see the one or the description for the one. I want to make sure I order the right one. HELP HELP????

I am way too scared to have any of those. Unless ppl them the end of every month they chg a lot. Learned the hard way. Thank God it wasn't a lot of money. I did find the other palette they have. I have to get the Romance. I hope anyway. Have it pulled up and ready to go to put in my cart. I hope I get it.

    Anyone have experience with returns at Nordstrom? I want to buy the (greatly discounted) Clarisonic Fit, but I'd like to be able to return it if it ravages my skin. I've been spoiled by Sephora's return policy.

  16. So I live chatted, the rep swore they all went out on the 19th, and that one went to my email address. I called the number, she couldn't find one in my account and didn't know how to fix it. I signed up 06/07/16, so well before the deadline.

    My question is why do they need to email them out at all? Why not just load it to the online account? The same way as when you sign in, your Nordstrom Rewards number auto-populates, why not just load it to the profile?

    Nordstrom just torched their relationship with a lot of shoppers.

  29. I just called today at 8:30 (central) and was told that due to the volume of new sign-ups, it would be another 24-48 hours. So if I don't have it by Sunday, I guess I have to call back. I'm kind of surprised this is happening since Nordstrom is known for amazing customer service.

I got my $10 email around 8 am this morning and then also found the Lorac palette I wanted was sold out :( I knew I should've just bought it last night when I added it to my cart, but I (foolishly) really wanted to save the $10! I could've used it on something else, but I kind of thought since the palette made it through the pre-sale without selling out, then it would still be available at least through today.
