New L'Oreal products at Walmart

It's new product season at the drugstores, in case you missed my last several posts!

Thanks so much to reader @steph_mkobeauty on Instagram for this latest sighting. She spotted two new L'Oreal products at Walmart this week and kindly shared the pic above.

I enlarged/cropped @steph_mkobeauty's pic for a closer look:

NEW L'Oreal Voluminous Primer Base

I can't even put into words how excited I am that L'Oreal has FINALLY given us a mascara primer in a separate, full-size tube. Prior to this new product, you could only get their mascara primers as part of various dual-ended mascaras. I'm so happy to see a full-size mascara primer from them to use with whatever mascara you'd like. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall them ever releasing a separate mascara primer before!)

On a personal note: I recently received a free deluxe sample of the Lancome CILS BOOSTER XL Super Enhancing Mascara Base ($25.50 at Sephora) and I love it. I'm really hoping that this new L'Oreal primer is a dupe (L'Oreal owns Lancome, of course). I have tried various L'Oreal mascara primers over the years and none work quite as well as that Lancome primer, so hopefully this one's closer to that formula. Fingers crossed!

I just looked for this new primer on the Walmart website and on Amazon and I could not find any listings (yet). I also just did a general search on Google for more info about this product and I cannot find a thing. So it's SUPER new.

Thanks again, @steph_mkobeauty, for the great sighting and pic!

  1. I just came here to say the same thing: I hope it's a dupe for the Lancome, because that is an *awesome* primer, but it's also $$$!

  2. I want that mascara primer to be amazing so bad. I buy a tarte one for $22. If this is just as good I will be soooo happy!

  3. I was just on the Wet N Wild website, and the majority of their makeup brushes are in stock...I've heard really good things about them, but they've been impossible to find in my local Walgreens stores, so I thought I'd share.

  4. I get crazy excited whenever Loreal releasing new products. I also recall that they only had it on their Double Extend Mascara. It worked but it would also get kinda' gloppy. Hope this is a better formula and yes, more similar to Lancome's. As far as the eyeliner. I can wait for that. Loreal has so many already in their Infallible line.
The drugstores are about to do their semi-annual reset. A lot of things are going to hit clearance to make room for these new products. I'm totally stoked.

  5. Me too - I am really hoping it's a dupe!

  6. I hope they have a waterproof version because regular lash primers (Lancome, Dior, tarte & L'oreal Double Extend regular) list water as first ingredient and make my lashes lose curl and droop down. When L'oreal had a waterproof version of the Double Extend mascara, that primer's first ingredient was not water and it did hold curl. Just an FYI for ladies out there with lashes like mine that stubbornly point straight down and need waterproof mascar to hold curl.

  8. So, what is the verdict? Anyone try them both out? I'm dying to know if it's a true fupe or not.
