Keep reading for details and a few tips about this event...
Details and tips:
- For those new to the 21 Days of Beauty, each day during this event, Ulta will offer ONE-DAY-ONLY Beauty Steals available both in-store and online (unless otherwise specified, which I'll get to in a moment). You can view the entire calendar here. These steals are a fantastic way to pick up some higher-end beauty products at a fraction of the retail price.
- You have to act quickly during this event because the Beauty Steals do sell out in-store (sometimes before noon the day of the event). But the Beauty Steals are also available online and you usually have a bit more time to get them online before they sell out (although sometimes you don't have as many options online when it comes to things like nail polish where sometimes there are more shade options available in-store than online during the event).
- If you plan to make a purchase in-store, I highly recommend getting to your local Ulta the moment the store opens on the day of that particular event, if you are able to do so. I cannot tell you how many times I have pressed my luck and tried to pick up something during my lunch break, only to find that the item sold out earlier that morning. And be prepared for some craziness. If your Ulta is already a high-traffic store, and you go on the day of one of the more popular Beauty Steals, expect to stand in line for a while. That's why I suggest going as early in the morning as possible, since the crowds and lines will be nowhere near as crazy as lunchtime and after work.
- Speaking of craziness, I notice that the ButterLONDON Beauty Steal (all polishes 2/$15) is scheduled for a Saturday this time around. This is always a very popular event, so if you're planning to take advantage of this one in-store, I highly, highly recommend getting to your Ulta bright and early on Saturday morning for the best selection (and to avoid long lines).
One more thing:
BE SURE TO CHECK THE FULL CALENDAR OF EVENTS FOR ADDITIONAL ONLINE-ONLY BEAUTY STEALS LIKE THIS:
If a deal on the calendar of events does not say "online only" (as illustrated above), then it is available both in-store and online. The above Laura Geller set is an online-only Beauty Steal that's happening this Monday, September 8th. If you want any of the online-only deals, I would try to log on to the Ulta site as early as possible on the day of that particular Beauty Steal, to ensure that you get it before it sells out. I don't quite recall if these events go live right at midnight on the Ulta site, but if you do, please leave a comment and fill us in? Thanks! I want to say that last year they went live right at Midnight Pacific, but I might be getting that confused with another event.
If you have any additional questions, there's a live chat option on the Ulta page HERE. And if you have a tip about this event that I did not cover above, I would love if you'd share in the comments below (and thanks in advance!).
Thanks again to everyone who took the time to share this with us, and I also want to thank everyone who shared pics of the calendar they received in the mail--I'm so sorry that I didn't get a chance to post those before the calendar went live on the Ulta site today!
OMG! im super excited!
ReplyDeleteI went to 2 ultas the last 21 days of beauty for Butter London. The first store only let me get 2 polishes, the other store let me get 4. So I suppose it's store by store how they inturpert the *2 limit
ReplyDeleteWhat time to the online deals start? Midnight or some time in the a.m.?
ReplyDeleteI'm planning on going Monday for the DermaDoctor KP Duty sale. Unfortunately, I've never checked these products out in store because I just recently saw reviews saying how great they worked for KP so I don't even know where they're located in the store. Double-unfortunately, I'm visiting home right now & will be going to an unfamiliar Ulta in a much bigger city - pretty much the only one in the entire place so it's bound to be packed. Triple-unfortunately, where I'm living right now is a state with no sales tax, but where I'm visiting has tax. I'm a 21 Days of Beauty first-timer & I'm a little worried it's going to be a bad experience because of the above... maybe I should just do my shopping online instead. So on that note, I second the question Anna asked - does the sale start at midnight online or another time??
ReplyDeleteYou will be charged the state tax rate of the address where it is sent to. So shop online if the tax savings is greater than the shipping charge. (Those of us in high-tax states will just have to pay up.)
DeleteIt also says free gifts but on the calender I dont see any gifts. Am I missing something??
ReplyDeleteOne example:
DeleteLANCÔME***
THE PERFECT LONGWEAR LOOK FROM LANCÔME
Come in for a complimentary sample of one of our new primers and take home a free full-size foundation brush with purchase of full-size foundation and primer!
I was offered a rain check at the last 21 Day even when the IT Cosmetics primer was sold out. Be sure to ask for one if what you want isn't available.
ReplyDeleteI have two additional tips for the Beauty Steals event at Ulta: 1. Pay attention to the free gift with purchase promotions going on for many of these high end brands. 2. If you have Ulta Rewards points saved up, use them now for additional savings!
ReplyDeleteOn Friday, I picked up a couple tubes of Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer (on sale for $10) and a Try It Kit. Since I bought over $35 worth of items, I received a free gift with purchase goodie bag that inclluded a trial size of the Photo Finish Foundation Primer and the Fusion Soft Lights in Baked Starburst. I have been saving up my Ulta Rewards points to treat myself to some brands that are excluded from Ulta coupons. Since Smashbox is one of those excluded brands, I cashed in some of my rewards and brought home my llittle Smashbox haul for $20 total! ^_^
