Well this is exciting! I was browsing through the Simple Skincare website recently and spotted some brand new products for 2014. Take a look:

NEW Simple Ultra-Light Gel Moisturizer
(retail: $12.99, 1.5 oz -- click here for more info; click here for ingredients)
When I was looking for prices on these products, I noticed that Walgreens has the new Simple cleansing oil up on their website:

NEW Simple Skincare Multi-Benefit Cleansing Oil
(retail: $12.99, 4.5 oz)
UPDATE: This product is not going to be available for purchase until May of 2014.
From the Walgreens website:
Ingredients: Gossypium Herbaceum (Cotton) Seed Oil, Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate, Phenoxyethanol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, Helianthus Annus (Sunflower) Seed Oil
I mentioned that I had a feeling cleansing oils were going to be big in 2014 (click here for my review of the new Garnier Nourishing Cleansing Oil if you missed it) and I have a strong feeling that there are going to be even more cleansing oils hitting US drugstores soon!
By the way, all of the new Simple products above are paraben-free, and Simple announced that they're also making some of their other, existing products paraben-free for 2014. Those products are:
Foaming Cleanser
Protecting Light Moisturizer with SPF 15
Refreshing Facial Wash Gel
Revitalizing Eye Roll-on
Eye Makeup Remover
Replenishing Rich Moisturizer
What do you think of these new-for-2104 releases from Simple? Are you looking forward to giving any of them a try?

Great news that they are making their products Paraben free as this has kept me from trying them.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to pass on these. I've tried their moisturizer, night cream, and a face wash and didn't like any of them! I'd much rather use coconut oil
ReplyDeleteI'm really excited to try the Simple line. I have pre-rosacea sensitive skin, and I have to really baby it. Walgreens is just around the corner. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to try the Simple cleansing oil! I liked the Garnier oil, but found the scent way too strong - hopefully the Simple is a better fit.
ReplyDeleteOh man, I really hope that cleansing oils are the new BB creams!
ReplyDeleteI'm curious to try a cleansing oil.
ReplyDeleteThe 24 hour nourishing cream and the ultra-light gel moisturizer are on Amazon now and are $10.99 each.
ReplyDeleteThat moisturizer looks nice! I haven't tried Simple products yet, but I always look at them when I'm at the drugstore or Walmart
ReplyDeleteIm so excited! I live by the cleansing wipes - and am really interested in the oil! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletethe cleansing oil is mildly interesting, but simple products have done nothing for me in the past.
ReplyDeleteI would luv to try the cleansing oil but does anyone else think that is pricey?! Garnier's which is just about the same size is $9. Price per ounce that would put Simple about the same as DHC which is my HG cleansing oil.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely it's pricey, BUT Simple is *constantly* on sale at the drugstores and there are often good printable coupons for them (which are usually timed to coincide with a drugstore sale). So between the sales, store rewards and coupons, you'll never have to pay that price. I promise. :)
DeleteDHC is $4.18 an ounce. Simple is $2.88 an ounce. It was the first thing I checked ;)
DeleteI'm definitely curious about the cleansing oil, seeing as it doesn't contain mineral oil (like the Garnier one,) so I might look into that. I wasn't a fan of their cleansing wipes, which is the only other product I tried... didn't feel like it was actually doing anything.
ReplyDeleteHmmm Simple and Olay Fresh Effects coming out with gel moisturizers, I wonder if other brands will follow. I LOVE gel moisturizers and they were a tiny bit popular for a while in the early 00s... I'm excited at the prospect of them making a comeback although I am a little disappointed that Simple lists dimethicone as an ingredient in theirs. I might still possibly try it. Also love that their cleansing oil isn't based on mineral oil, that sounds promising.

ReplyDeleteWell after finally seeing the new Olay Fresh Effects products tonight at Walgreens, the Simple gel moisturizer looks a bit better than Olays because Olay's has cyclopentasiloxane has the third ingredient after water and glycerin and my skin will not tolerate cyclopentasiloxane (and it is even EVERYTHING nowadays) =( Huge bummer. Dimethicone my skin can sometimes handle but the latter...nope. It is also more of a gel-cream moisturizer like Garnier offers. My pining for a true gel moisturizer for oilier skin types continues.
DeleteThe cleansing oil looks intriguing. I will however, pass on the 24 hour cream. The one time I tried a lotion by Simple it burned my sensitive skin, and I broke out in hives! Never again!
ReplyDeleteI am glad for a drugstore alternative. I bought Garnier and I like it but it's nice to have options!@
ReplyDeleteTheir moisturizers don't look that mosturizing based on the ingredients. (I need more than silicones and glycerin.) So I'll stick to CeraVe for that. But the cleansing oil has me hopeful. I use mineral sunscreen, which is a pain to take off with regular cleanser. Sometimes I have to wash twice! So an oil cleanser than works like DHC without the awful smell would be perfect :)
ReplyDeleteHmm i must try these products. Although, to be honest regular coconut oil or jojoba oil mixed with castor oil works just as well if not better. Plus those three are best to be used by oil/combo skin since they don't clog pores. I wonder if this Simple one works just as well...
ReplyDeleteI saw these in Walgreens. I was wondering if anyone has tried them? I have never tried the brand before, but these are sparking my interest.
ReplyDeleteI thought the cleansing oil was on hold for about 8 months. Hmmmm....I'll get back to you on that one. Simple has upped their game for this year. I have been trying out some of their products and they are all they say they are.
ReplyDeleteI bought Simple's face scrub a while back and really liked it. Recently I found a trial size kit on clearance that contained some cleansing wipes, cleanser, and moisturizer. I was so excited to try it based on my experience with the scrub. Unfortunately, none of the products worked for me. Instead of hydrating my skin, they seemed to find every dry patch and flake and make it stand out.
ReplyDeleteBased on my experience with those three products, I think I'll pass on their new products. (Still love the scrub, though!)
wish it was coming out sooner, feel like it would be perfect for this winter weather :/ oh well I think I'm just going to wait and hope it's a good product!
ReplyDeleteSame here. I've been researching cleansers and got so excited when I saw this on the Wal-Greens website. I hope it's worth the wait :-)
DeleteHas anyone seen this yet in retail? I have been looking since May.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen these products yet :( really hoping they start popping up in drugstores soon i"m so excited for the cleansing oil!!
ReplyDeleteHave you heard or seen anything about when the cleansing oil will be available??
