Spotted: NEW Wet n Wild Holiday 2013 Eyeshadow Trios

Click here to view the new Wet n Wild Fergie Holiday 2013 Collection, which is also popping up at a Walgreens right now.

Reader Andrea just spotted a new Wet n Wild Holiday 2013 In The Spotlight end-cap display at Walgreens and was nice enough to share some pics with us. Take a look...

Wet n Wild Holiday 2013 In The Spotlight Collection end-cap display at Walgreens

I believe that the first row in this display contains repromotes from the core line. The second and third rows contain Holiday 2013 eye colors:

I am 99.9% sure that these new trios are cream shadows. This seems to be a tradition with Wet n Wild when it comes to their Holiday releases, since we saw similar 6-pan cream shadows (with glitter oversprays) in the Holiday 2011 Sparkle City Collection.

Drinking a Glass of Shine, Still or Sparkling Water?

Does the name Drinking a Glass of Shine sound familiar to you? It was actually the name of the Wet n Wild Holiday 2012 all-matte 8-pan palette (which was a repromote of the I Heart Matte palette from Holiday 2011).

The fourth row contains the Holiday 2013 Palettes that have already been released this season in this counter display (you can see some reader swatches here, and I'll also be reviewing these palettes in the very near future):

And the same goes for these polishes. These have already been released this season in this display, and I'll be swatching them soon:

The 5th and 6th rows in this display appear to contain repromotes of existing core products.

Don't forget that we have an interactive sightings map for the Wet n Wild Holiday 2013 Collections here (which also includes the Holiday 2013 Fergie nail colors). If you spot this new end-cap display in your area, I would love if you'd leave a marker on the map for it!

Have you spotted this new Holiday display (or the new Fergie Holiday products I mentioned at the top of this post) yet? Thoughts?

Thanks so much, Andrea, for the great sighting and pics. I really appreciate it!

  1. I'm actually relieved that none of this catches my eye because I am so poor right now. Those trios look fantastic, but I'm not seeing any colors that I would wear. Of course that could change once I see them in person...

  2. They need to make I Heart Matte/Drinking a Glass of Shine permanent. Such a good palette! <3

  3. Gahhhh! So many new releases to keep up with!

  4. Someone on makeupalley bought one of the eyeshadow trios(glitter) and confirmed they ARE cream, but said they weren't greasy like the Halloween ones.

  5. Haha same! But I kind of just want to try out a cream trio to see how well it lasts.

  6. Cream eyeshadow? Sign me up! I love, love, love cream eyeshadow! Just another thing to add to my long list of new products to search for at Walgreens. (I am on first name basis with two of the BAs at my Wags, and in no way is that sad) ;D

  7. I'm pretty sad that the Holiday tri-pans are creams. I haven't experienced any luck with their cream shadows. :(

  8. I just found a table display of the Spotlight collection @ a local Kmart. They only had the 8 pans so I bought all 3 of those because I loved the swatches I saw for them on here. Anyway while I was @ CVS trying to locate the CT Gilded in Gold w/no luck, I did see a new display box half open so I snooped inside and saw it was a tall WNW display. I see now this was the same tower display. I will be back.

  9. I just got mine at Walgreens...there weren't a lot the trios in the display. I got I'm not a blonde glitz!...the two bottom colors are pretty the top color is a let down.

  10. The shades in those trios look identical to any of the Halloween glitter palettes from this year or last year.

  11. I would totally buy all or most of these E/S pallettes even though I only wear shadow once in a while, but to be honest I don't think I would use them....just have them because they are so pretty!!!! Hahaha...whats wrong with me?! :)

    1. Lol it's nice to know I'm not the only one who buys beauty products they hardly use just because they look pretty.

  12. I love the look of the trio's but imagine they are probably a nightmare to work with if they are cream shimmer, just as NYX cream palettes were. So that would be a pass. However the larger palettes look more promising. Always look forward to your updates:)

  13. I hope I can find those! they look amazing!

  14. Ooh, those 2 glitter nail polishes on the right are calling my name....

  15. After seeing the swatches of I'm not a blonde glitz I want it but won't break my neck to find/get it. I am not a fan of the cream shadows as I have previously wasted money on several NYX creme glitter palettes, as well as a few WNW Fantasy creme palettes. I will wait for more reviews.

  16. Hey Girly, thanks for letting us know! I will look out for these. I would like to get all of them and do a review on them. I have found that cream eyeshadows take a different technique of applying and some layering on. If you have oily eyelids then they may not stay on well and crease, but using a primer will help along with adding a lightly padded translucent powder before hand. Hope everyone finds them and likes them!!

  18. Bought these and saw on the back of the palette that these are a "face glitter trio" then under that says "not intended for eye area" so i returned them. I don't normally use glitter on my face :P

  19. These have been popping up like crazy in all my local Walgreens stores, even stores that don't usually update normally. It was a nice surprise! I picked up a few and just tonight I see printed on the back:

Not For Use In The Eye Area. It also refers to the palettes as Color Icon Face Glitter Trio. But then it goes on to say "All day crease-resistant color".
Go home Wet n' Wild, you're drunk.

In any event, they are GORGEOUS and I can never have enough glitter no matter where its intended use and for those wondering about the Halloween palette comparison.

*Halloween palettes make no mention of using or not using on your eyes

*Halloween palettes use a much finer glitter

*(I can only compare to the Meteor Shower -blue- palette) :
-Silver in Drinking a Glass of Shine & Still or Sparkling Water? palette (compared to Meteor) is holographic/rainbow silver glitter whereas Meteor palette is just silver glitter
-The darker blue in Twinkle and Loving It! and Still or Sparkling Water? palettes is the same, blue base, silver holo, Meteor is just blue glitter. Same goes for the aqua/lighter blue shades.

    xoxo

  20. I need these eyeshadows in my life.

  21. Wow I'm glad for the info. Even though I haven't seen these in my area yet I planned to get the blonde glitz for e/s. Now that you guys have reported it's not for eye use I can nix this off my long list.

  22. The cream eyeshadows have a warning in the back to not use in the eye area. Please put that in the post.

  23. I guess I just don't get it...the glitter trios (cream shadows) say they are not for the eye area yet clearly they are not colors one would normally wear anywhere else. What are we supposed to do with them?

  25. I bought all the pallets and they aren't greasy, and vasaline o nly like some others posted I was really impressed and if you area WnW fan Im sure you will love these. They are great

  26. The TRIOS and NOT eyeshadows!! On the back they have a warning that says "Not for use on eye area". Wet N Wild really pissed me off. They come with a sponge tip for the eye, they come in the same form as the normal eyeshadow trios, but then on the back it says its not safe for the eye? So you buy them thinking its ok and it turns out you can't even use them!! You don't want to put glitter on the eye thats not meant for it because it can scratch your cornea.....

Sigh... you're probably not going to come back and see this response, but on the off chance that you do, PLEASE copy and paste the link above into your browser and read the OFFICIALresponse by Wet n Wild, because these ARE eyeshadows and I'd hate for you to continue to misinform people. Thanks!
