Revlon to bring back five vintage Super Lustrous Lipstick shades

If you don't follow Revlon on Facebook or Instagram, you might not know that they just announced that, after a fan vote, they're bringing back FIVE vintage shades from the Super Lustrous Lipstick line:

Coming back in 2014:
Icy Violet, Snow Peach, Sandstorm, Fifth Ave Red, Jungle Peach

Well, my day has officially been made. THEY'RE BRINGING BACK SANDSTORM! That was one of my favorite, truly wearable browns that I've ever owned. I remember that, on some people, it looked more like cocoa or tan, but then on others it took on more of a rosy, almost pinky-brown tone. It also had a subtle yet beautiful golden pearl finish. Perfection!

Are you excited about any of these shades coming back next year? If so, what will be first on your must-buy list?

  1. Icy Violet is one of my favorite lipsticks ever and I'm on my last tube, so yay!

  2. Whoa, "Icy Violet" was actually a shade in 1946?

  3. I can't say that I'm even really slightly interested in any of them :(
Jungle Peach looks pretty, but I don't think it'd look good on me.
And I'm not really a fan of shimmer/pearl/frost lip sticks.

  5. Sounds like great news! Do you know if they are adding them to their line or if they are LE?

  6. Might try the shades. Love the red color, but I can't tell if it has more brown or pink in it. Also the brown in kind of interesting not sure how it would look on me. Willing to try it though.

  8. I was casting my votes, including for Sandstorm, which I'm sure I had in the 1990s. (Though I remember Sandalwood Beige more.) I believe these are limited edition releases, if I recall right.

  12. Sandstorm was way more flattering in person. It was my go-to nude. If irc back in the day Cindy Crawford wore it in Revlon's ads.

  13. Oh my! I must get my hands on fifth avenue red. Looks like such a rich, glamorous red. Icy Violet is a winner too.

  15. Fifth Ave Red is such a classic. I think I'll add it to my collection. And, once I see Icy Violet, that might come home in my bag as well.

  20. Ideally I would like to have all of them since they are fan favorites making a comeback! I would probably only use the peachy ones though. Heidi mentioned Sandalwood Beige, that was my go to in the late 80's to early 90's!

  21. Must tell my mom about Snow Peach. One of her favourites when I was a kid :)

  22. 5th Avenue Red looks nice, dark and universal as a red.

  23. I'd like Revlon to bring back an 80s lipstick and nail enamel they had called Blonde. But met of all I wish they'd bring back the exact kind of eye shadows they had in the mid to late 80s like Custom Eyes exactly the way they were made back then.
