As you've probably heard (or seen), Sinful Colors Green Ocean (the harder-to-find blue/green flakie that comes out to play at Walgreens every St. Patty's Day) is back again this year and the display is apparently just like last year, and the year before that. Here's a pic of the display from 2011:
Sinful Colors St. Patrick's Day display from 2011
I've heard that there are some other green cremes in this year's display, but I believe that they're all existing core shades.
Every year, I hear from readers who miss out on this big "return" so consider this your warning. Grab it while you can, because this appears to be a once-a-year occurrence!
COUPON ALERT: Do you want Green Ocean for just $0.99? Well you're in luck because in tomorrow's Walgreens ad (2/17) there is going to be a $1 off Sinful Colors coupon. This is a pretty rare in-ad coupon, so be sure to grab the weekly ad when you're in the store and clip that coupon before you make a purchase!

Thanks to everyone who took the time to share their Green Ocean sightings and also a big thanks to everyone for the coupon info!
I saw this the other day and grabbed it immediately. It just looked so different from anything else I have! So excited to try it out!
ReplyDeleteYay, thanks for the heads up, G!
ReplyDeleteI've heard about this polish, but don't own it yet.
Already snagged two of them yesterday! I saw the unopened display box behind the counter and the lady opened it for me. It was like Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI was so excited to get Green Ocean a few years back as it was my very first flakie and oh man was I longing for a flakie. However when I got it I was quite disappointed, the flakes were thick and didn't lay flat, and it took numerous layers of top coat to stop the flakies from snagging on things and feeling super bumpy. Being that it was my very first experience I thought that all flakies were like that and was turned off of all flakies, that was until I saw Essie Shine of the Times in a store and tried it on my thumbnail, it was flat and smooth. My love for good flakies was re-ignited! That being said Green Ocean is a nice color, just be prepared to use a lot of top coat layers if you want a smooth nail unless they have changed the formula since I first bought it.
ReplyDeleteThe cupon is for 1 off w a 3 polish limit and you need the rewards card ( basicly 3 for a 1$ each) and it dsnt say theres a limit to how many you can use per card so im guessing you could do mutiple transactions. Why they didnt just do a 99cent sale is beyond me lol
ReplyDeleteGreen ocean has an awful smell. Sometimes it keeps me from painting my nails with it because the smell is just horrid! Does anyone else have that problem with green ocean?
ReplyDeleteOooh, thank you! I hadn't heard of this - will definitely have to pick it up! So pretty :)
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they released this in Canada too...
ReplyDeleteI finally found it tonight! I have been looking for it since I read your post a year ago. I grabbed 3, one for me and 2 to share. I am so excited!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to look for this!
ReplyDeleteWow. I didn't even know this was one of those most sought after but hard to find polishes when I bought it this week. For once I didn't miss out. Yay me!
ReplyDeleteJuSt picked this up, along with a polish from the almost famous and sugar rush collections. I'm regretting not getting the bright green creme along with the flakies.
ReplyDeleteI grabbed the last one today! YAY!!
ReplyDeleteI just purchased this. It looks great over black and turquoise blue.
