I'm a huge fan of Sally Hansen's limited edition Salon Effects collections, especially the holiday designs (Halloween 2011, Spring 2012, Winter 2011 and Valentine's Day 2012 were simply adorable). I was really hoping that Sally Hansen would continue this tradition and bring us another round of Halloween designs for 2012, and it appears that my wishes have come true! A huge thanks to readers Amanda and Anon for sharing some great pics with us:

I'm not sure where Amanda spotted this collection, but Anon spotted it at Fred Meyer. If these are anything like last year's Holloween Collection, they'll probably hit Rite Aid and Walgreens first, with CVS to follow.
Thanks so much, Amanda and Anon, for the great sighting and pics!

PS: Last year, the Winter 2011 Collection started hitting stores at the end of September, so we've probably got another month before the Winter 2012 Collection starts making an appearance.

I love the purple bats!
ReplyDeleteso cute!
ReplyDeleteThose little candy corns are so adorable!
ReplyDeleteI spotted these at Ulta on friday of last week. :)
ReplyDeleteI spotted these at Ulta today.
ReplyDeleteThis feels a lot more Halloween-y.
ReplyDeleteIt's a Halloween collection, so I'm glad you feel they are Halloween-y! ;)
DeleteThese are so cute! I also saw them at Ulta over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteThese designs are so cute! :D I love the candy corn one. ^^
ReplyDeleteIt's pouring rain, I'm in my jammies, and I am seriously tempted to go check the Walgreen's up the street for the bats and candy corn!
ReplyDeleteOh these are so cute! I love the jack 'o lanterns
ReplyDeleteSo cute!!! Must get some of these. I am so ready to decorate for Fall and Halloween!
ReplyDeleteHow corny is so adorable! I can't wait for these! Sadly I have a couple of Easter designs that I never got around to wearing. Hope they "keep" because with Halloween designs out I won't be interested in pastel plaids!
ReplyDeleteI'm not 100% certain because I'm not near my Salon Effects stash right now, but I believe these last for 36 months if left in their sealed blister packs. Of course, no one has had a chance to verify this yet. But I am optimistic because Iike you, Robin, I also have designs that will be on the back shelf for a while.
DeleteIn fact, I hoarded a few of last year's designs in case I never got to see Spun For You ever again.
The repeats from last year are Spun For You and Numbskull. Which makes sense to me because those were definitely the first to sell out in my area last year.
I kept one design from the Rock of Ages Collection, buying it in April and waiting until about the first week of June to use it. Sadly, when I opened it, it was tough and didn't last long when I finally got them on my nails. IMHO it's better to use it when you buy it no later then a month as they seem to dry out even sealed.
DeleteAccording to the company they are to last for 3 years unopened. If not, you got a bad package. Contact the company. Use my Halloween ones from last year and they are fine.
DeleteI love the spider webs! Those, the skulls, and maybe the candy corn were in the collection last year. Glad to see them return!
ReplyDeleteYep, but the candy corns are new. Like thebirdofparadise mentioned above, the only repeats are Spun For You and Numbskull. :) I included a link to last year's collection in this post, if you'd like to compare!
DeleteSO cute! I'll definitely be looking for these. I need How Corny and Patch-O-Lanterns.
ReplyDeleteI noticed you said something about NC readers. Do you live in NC or is that an abbreviation for something? Lol
ReplyDelete"NC" Readers stands for Nouveau Cheap readers. lol!
DeleteOH, I can't decide which one I like best!!!
ReplyDeleteThat also had me going for about 15 minutes. LOL
ReplyDeleteOmg, these are so cute! I really want the candy corn ones! These nail polish stickers are great and they last a long time. They are way less time consuming then regular nail polish!
ReplyDeletePurple bats! and skull & crossbones!
ReplyDeleteOk... I have to have these.
OMG! I must have all of them! They're just too cute!
ReplyDeleteI like these way more than last years (I didn't buy any) this year I have to get my hands on the bats and the jack-o-laterns for sure! Maybe those candy corns too....
ReplyDeleteI love the little bats and the candy corn. :D
ReplyDeleteI love these things. Too bad they're $10 a pop at Walgreens or Walmart. =/ I love them because I don't have to wait for them to dry. This is especially nice if you're going to a concert or a party or other special event. =)
ReplyDeletei can't wait for them be on cvs
ReplyDeleteI like this year's collection SO MUCH MORE than last year's. I actually have the bats, patch-o-latern and the numbskull ^_^ I put the numbskull on last night and added glow in the dark polish and I love the way they came out lol
ReplyDeleteDo these work with short nails?
