Zoya 2017 Earth Day Exchange Starts Monday (4/10)

It's BACK! Zoya just gave me the heads-up that the Earth Day Exchange 2017 is back and starts on 4/10 (this Monday)! If this is your first time participating, here's what you need to know:

From Zoya:

With over 300 shades rooted in a healthy philosophy, it’s no surprise that we’re committed to helping you green your beauty routine! That’s why each year we give you the opportunity to exchange any old nail polish bottles (any brand) that you may have laying around your house collecting dust, or that are not BIG10FREE formulas, for brand new toxin-free* Zoya Nail Polish shades to celebrate Earth Day.

Rest assured that your unwanted polishes will be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. Make Mother Nature proud by following the instructions below and get started by picking out your NEW Zoya colors at www.zoya.com! Please note this promo excludes Zoya Treatments and Naked Manicure Base and Top Coats.

How The Exchange Works...

1. Visit www.zoya.com and add your desired nail polish colors to your cart.

Consumer Accounts: Minimum 6, maximum 24 bottles

  1. I understand that they're trying to tailor their sale so that it's relevant for Earth Day, but the headline of "Trade in your old polish for Zoya polish!" is misleading. It makes you think that this is an even, free exchange (which, yes, I know they wouldn't make any money if they really did this). Why don't they just market the sale as "Buy 3, get 3 Free"? You have to buy at least 6 polishes and the promo code gives you 50% off. You don't even have to send them any old polishes to use the promo code. It's just needlessly convoluted.

    1. I understand your issues, but I do think this is a nice way to dispose of your old polishes in a responsible manner if you so choose (and bring awareness to that as well), and I like that Zoya has been offering this for years now in conjunction with this promo. True, it's basically a B3G3FREE deal, but you also get free shipping, which is a nice bonus since shipping is usually free on orders $55+.

  2. Out of curiosity, how did you find out about this? I try to follow Zoya but haven't received any emails from them since Sept 2016. I never know when their promos are except when you announce them (thank you!!) Their website makes it seem like they only announce promos on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and LIVE). I checked all of those except LIVE (I don't know what that is), and don't see any mention of it.

I was trying to find the fine print. I still have the 2016 email that states "shipping costs on the exchange of unwanted polish back to us is the customer's responsibility" but "Offer is not contingent on customer returning polish." Both good to know!

    1. I mentioned at the very top of this post that Zoya gave me this info directly (it was from their internal PR person), but I also received an email about this for being a registered Zoya customer. I would strongly suggest checking your spam folder for emails from Zoya. I stopped receiving their emails a while back as well, but when I went into my spam folder, they were all there. I had to mark one of them as "not spam" and then the emails started being delivered to my in-box again! So definitely check your spam folder. :)

Also, the fine print for the polish exchange is now up. I updated the link at the very bottom of my post but here's the direct link if you need it:

    2. Same with me until a couple weeks ago. I've been signed up for their newsletters since 2015 and hadn't received any emails from them for 2016 at all. I decided on a whim to check my spam folder and lo' and behold there they all were. Perhaps the same happened with you.
