The ONLY things I would use with this box is the vitamins and then the scar cream. I am having surgery in January to have my scar remade (long story, but two years later I am having issues still with it). Does anyone have suggestions for a specific gel or cream for me to look into? Thank you! :D
ReplyDeleteI don't have any recs (sorry) since I just use good ol' Vit E oil on scars.
DeleteI will be able to use the nipple cream (works great on ANY dry skin, cuticles, etc), the Always pad. and I can always use an extra first aid kit for the car. :)
I had surgery in September and I use Bio Oil. It's also an excellent moisturizer if you like to have a subtle shine to your skin. The scar is on my arm. You do have to use it religiously I have found. I too, am still having problems with the scar, but this helps to keep the area moisturized. I feel as though the skin is "pulling" if I don't keep it moisturized. This is the best I have found in the 2 months since surgery. Hope this helps.
DeleteNo personal experience but I have read that Bio Oil or rosehip oil are great for scars.
DeleteI think CeraVe healing ointment would be great! It has ceramides which are essential for skin healing, and it moisturizes similar to vaseline (but without the super greasy feel - it's not as greasy as similar products like Aquaphor). CeraVe body cream/lotion would also be good to alternate with - I prefer the baby versions of their cream/lotion because they don't have parabens. Good luck!
