PS: I say this in every Sephora post I write, but NOW IS THE TIME if you've been holding off! If you don't already have free shipping due to VIB Rouge status, you should really consider signing up for Sephora Flash if you don't already have it. For $10 a year, you get free unlimited 2-day shipping on all orders. It pays for itself after just two orders. Plus, your subscription starts the moment you add it to your cart, meaning that anything else you buy will ship free. This will come in extremely handy during the VIB sale and all through the holidays.
Thanks again, @isu1989 and @fanserviced, for the hot tips!
I could not find the size of Tidal from the Sephora Favorites set.
ReplyDeleteSorry about that! Since the Living Proof sample right next to it is 1 oz, I'm GUESSING the Tidal sample is 0.5 oz. since it looks about half the size. That's my best guess, but if you want to be 100% sure before you order, I would try calling Sephora customer service and hopefully the can tell you the exact size. Thanks!
DeletePS: there's a deluxe Tidal sample that's 0.5 oz. for sale on eBay right now, so that's confirmation that they are made in that size. So yeah, that's my best guess!
DeleteConsidering the price of Tidal, it would be quite generous if the cream gar is 0.5 oz!
ReplyDeleteAgreed! I just realized that Sephora sells the 0.5 oz on their site for $22 (http://bit.ly/2fOKG9F) and if you look at the 0.5 oz. jar in that listing and compare it to the jar that's in this Sephora Favorites set listing, they look identical to me? I'm NOT saying they are, and perhaps the one in the set is something smaller than 0.5 oz., but again, looking at it next to the Living Proof jar, which we know is 0.1 oz, it does look about half the size, right?
DeleteI contacted Sephora customer service. However, they do not have information regarding the size of Tidal in this set.
ReplyDeleteOh darn. Thanks so much for letting us know. I guess you could order and then if it's smaller than anticipated, just return it? I would hate for you to miss it while it's in stock AND with the discount, so hopefully that's a viable option for you!
DeleteIt's definitely .5oz/15g. It's the same size that's in the Skin Wonderland set, found here: http://www.sephora.com/skin-wonderland-P411864?skuId=1842152&icid2=products%20grid:p411864
DeleteThanks for the heads up on this set! I've tried to follow the directions and added everything to cart but it's still coming up at full price? Do I need to go further through checkout before the discount applies?
ReplyDeleteI'm having the same issue. :(
DeleteSo I tried to go through the checkout process to see how far you had to go before seeing the discount- and accidentally placed the order! sephora charged me $132! That was last night after hours so I called customer service first thing this morning to cancel it or see if they could adjust the pricing and per Abby at the Sephora hotline- it was "too far along" to cancel. And that they can't cancel or refund my money until I receive the products and call them back. She offered me store credit immediately but refunds have to wait! So if you have $130 laying around go ahead and place the order lol she said they've been having this problem a lot...and yet no one has fixed it? Not impressed!
DeleteMine didn't show the discount until I went through the actual checkout.
DeleteI believe it's the Sephora app that is the issue. If I would have checked out in the app, it was going to charge me full price. When I went thru ebates, it was the $25. Hope that helps!
DeleteI recently purchased a Sephora Favorites set that had the Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream in it, and it was 0.5 oz, so I'm 99.99% sure the one in this set is to. This is a great deal!
ReplyDeleteOkay so i was just wondering how do you become a rouge member? A vib member? Whats the difference? I tried googling it but im still confused
ReplyDeleteYou become Rouge if you spend 1,000.00 in a year. VIB is $350.00. I believe those are the correct dollar amounts.
DeleteThose are the 3 tiers of the Beauty Insider program. So the one you can sign up for is Beauty Insider (the basic level). That will still get you things like the free birthday gift and other nice promotions. VIB is for beauty insiders who spend $350 in a calendar year. Rouge is for Beauty Insiders who spend $1000 in a calendar year. (I think the increased benefits for Rouge members represent an effort to make this a sought-after status, so that if you are close to having spent $1000, you will want to spend more so you can qualify as Rouge for the following year.) The various benefits to go with each level are listed out on Sephora's website under Beauty Insider Program.
DeleteThe same thing happened to me. I went through the checkout process and have to wait to be reimbursed the extra $110. Apparently you can't use any promo codes when purchasing this. When you don't enter a promo code, it will adjust the price to $25. It doesn't mention that anywhere on the product page, but I was told that is the reason.
ReplyDeleteI went through the checkout process and was charged $135. I called and chatted with customer service, and apparently you can't use any promo code when purchasing this item. If you don't enter a promo code, the price will adjust to $25 at the end.
ReplyDeleteYes, just shipped to me today (thanks flash shipping!). The Sunday Riley Tidal is confirmed at 0.5 oz! Comes in it's own little box, so it's even giftable.
