Get Your Points Ready: NARS is Coming to Ulta

I saw this headline at wwd.com this morning and had to do a double-take. NARS is coming to Ulta!

The full article is premium content so I can't read it because I don't have a subscription. But @nikki6543 on Instagram DOES have a subscription, and she kindly confirmed that the article says that a select number of products will launch at Ulta in November, with more products to come next year.

Get those points ready! (And wouldn't it be fantastic if there was a NARS Beauty Steal in the Spring 2017 21 Days of Beauty event? Please Ulta, make that happen!)

  2. Almost makes me wish I hadn't just cashed out 2000 points last week! Oh well, I'll earn more.

  3. I am not sure if it is like this everywhere but my outlet mall in Glendale Arizona now has nars. It used to be the bareMinerals store but has now become the Bae and Beauty store. They have a select number of Nars products, as well as shisheido and Burberry. They have a lot of others too that are owned by the same parent company. This store always has 25 to 30% off of these Brands pretty much at all times. They had some very nice blush palettes as well as eyeshadows. They did not have any foundation but they did have the huge Laguna bronzer and some other cult classics.

    2. Wow! I am jealous. I will google to find out if there is one near me. I do visit the bareMinerals outlet and now I am wondering if that store will change over. I really shouldn't figure that out. I have enough problems with MAC/Bobbi Brown/Tom Ford outlet and the Lancome/ Urban Decay outlet....lol.

  4. I just made a purchase from Ulta.com today to take advantage of some multipliers. I will have 6000 points once it ships. I am going to have fun shopping later this year!

  5. This is great news! I would love to see Ulta pick up a few more brands, like Make Up For Ever and Bite!

  6. That's crazy!! Awesome!! Waiting for kat von d, bite, and fresh to come to ulta and I'll have no reason to shop at sephora! Lol!

  8. Not having to drive to Sephora to get subpar treatment would seriously make my day. We make Rouge for what? An extra $5-$10 once or twice a year during their ONLY sales? Heck ya! Good job, Ulta! I wish I didn't just cash out 3,500 points... but I'll build it up again. 🤗

  9. I am thrilled Ulta will be adding Nars to their stores! I think Ulta has the right business model - the point system is great - you can use points to purchase anything. Sephora points are worthless to me - you get a choice of 2-3 sample products which are always something I don't want. I loved Sephora when I found them in Paris many years ago; but they have not kept up with the competition.

  10. I second your comments. This year my Sephora list only have 2 things for the sale and they don't even $150. Ulta now just need to have have 20% off sale on everything--this idea that certain things are excluded from coupon is not working for me--especially hair products.

  12. Was just asking in store last week why they don't carry NARS, my wish came true!

  13. Yes! I now have an Ulta in my small rural town. I have grown to truly feel some kind of way about Sephora. I used to be Rouge, now I don't think I've spent $200 this whole year. If Ulta steps up its game...99% of the time I'll be like Sephora who? LOL

  14. The store manager at my local Ulta said that Nars might be excluded from the 20% off coupon regardless of membership status. Details still being worked out. She also said that Clinique will be in more stores and the possibility of Hourglass being added to select stores as well :)

  15. Makeup forever and KvD are owned by Sephora so unfort. They probably won't come to Ulta anytime soon.
