  1. Thank you! 558 pts. I got the IT Cosmetics Super Hero mascara and the Benefits Tinted mascara primer. Plus I added the travel First Aid intense repair hand cream. I love that stuff. This will add to the holiday shoping rewards money AND this order got me to Platinum 2017. Win, win, win!

  2. The free shipping doesn't seem to be working for my order. I'm going to try again in the morning and if it still isn't working, I will call customer service. It is stating i need to reach $50 for free shipping.

    1. I'm having the same issue despite the fact that the email clearly says free shipping.

      Delete
    2. Mine was saying that when I hovered over the bag, but when I actually go to my bag/cart, it reflects the free shipping there.

  3. It did not give me any extra points. I waited specifically for the reward and it said it was activated and only showed 1 point per dollar so watch out.

    1. They don't show up until your order ships..

  4. I'm platinum and I didn't get this offer. Is it an automatic offer? Or maybe it's bc I just reached platinum in the last couple days (my rewards is showing that I'm platinum right now but like I said, I just reached it in last cpl days). Plz LMK if anyone has any thoughts as to why I didn't get this offer.

    1. Mine isn't offered either and I just hit platinum :( I'm going to give them a call though

      Delete
    2. I just called customer care and they gave me a reference number saw that after I place my order I can call back and they will apply the correct amount of points

    3. If you complain they sometimes give you extra points. In store they never give me my birthday gift, so I complained and they gave me something like $8 worth of points. (And now that I think of it, I didn't get any birthday gift this year either, and the Ulta rep told me they are supposed to offer it to you, and you shouldn't have to ask ...)

  5. Does this work in combination with 5x points on Tarte mascaras?

    1. I added 10 shape tapes to my cart and faux checked out. It said I would earn 2220ish points on my order. If you go a few steps into checkout is will tell you what you will earn on your order on the bottom right.

  6. There is a good deal on Becca products.. a kit called "Best of Becca Youthful Glow" kit.. it is $49 but it comes with a full-size of the Backlight Priming Filter and under eye brightening corrector..plus deluxe samples of the Snapdragon blush and opal shimmering skin perfectly.. also it is only 5x points ..

  7. Not only does the free shipping seem to be inactive on my computer (it does appear to work in the app on my iPhone, though), but it appears that the points don't stack for Tarte purchases (a mascara, that should get 10x points but my Tarte 5x points offer is also still active). Hmmm.... not that I'm complaining, but still! :)

  8. I am so, so jazzed that the $3.50/$10 coupon still works online (so bummed they've changed it for in store). With all of the drugstore brands included in the sale (and the free shipping that comes with them), I'm making three small orders to take advantage of that coupon. PLUS three packages to look forward to! Happy Monday!

  9. The free shipping isn't working for me as well.

  10. gawd... I spent over $200... so that is over 2,000 points so that's $125 off ... *evil laugh* LOL

    1. Wait for a 20% off coupon and it's $156 free!

      Delete
    2. Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing!! I'm so tempted by that darn credit card with the 20% offer!

      Delete
    3. Irene - were you able to use the $125 off on this order?!

      Delete
    4. Were you able to use the $125 from the points you gained on this order towards this order??!!!

      Delete
    5. Yael, the points aren't added to your account until after the order is processed/ships.

      Delete
    6. Omg when does a 20%off coupon come?

      Delete
  11. I've been dying for some bronze liquid liner recently and this gave me a reason to buy some. Got a couple of NYX ones for $7.75. Free shipping makes small purchases like this so much more worth it - I wish Ulta offered it more often or had Flash shipping like Sephora!

  12. The free shipping isn't working for me either. I have $30 in my cart and I get a message that I need $20 more for free shipping. I called customer service and she said all they can do is offer me a refund for shipping after the order ships if I call in and request it. I'm sure I'll forget to call after I receive the order, so I'm going to have to pass on this unless I check later in the day and they fix it. :-) Nice of them to offer this, but hopefully they'll get the system fixed yet today so Platinum members can get this offer!

  13. This is the last thing I needed to see! I am trying to spend LESS money!

Although, my Clinique makeup remover is on the 10x page...I was going to order that from Sephora (free shipping since I am Rouge) but now I might as well get it from Ulta.

  14. Free shipping doesn't seem to be working for me as well.

  15. Wow what an awesome deal! I am almost a platinum member so I don't feel too bad!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Also, just so people know, the Tarte mascaras get you 14.25x bonus points! Stacking the 10x from the event for all mascaras + 5x for the Tarte-only products that is also running separately.

    1. I don't think thats true, but maybe G can confirm?

      Delete
    2. I did a faux cart. $21 Tarte mascara will yield 299 points. That is 14.25x points. Buy 7 of them for $147 and get 2100ish points. That's $125 back (or $156 if you use a 20% off coupon when redeeming points).

    3. It's working for me! Sweet!!

  17. If it is your birthday month, will you get even more points?

    1. Probably. Go a few steps into checkout and you will see on the bottom right how many points you earn.

  18. I bought 3 Lorac Palettes and received 1291 points. GREAT!!! Thanks for the tip!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I got the Lorac Pro palette( original). I had the 10.00 off coupon Ulta sent on a 40.00 LORAC purchase. I also used my 15.00 egift card. I paid 22 and change and got the free gift bag and 348 points. I was going to get to NYX new face illuminating sticks( Made in Canada) and use the 3.50 coupon, but I could not use 2 coupons at once.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Oh, I think I'll need to order some of the new NYX. I need it like another hole in my head, and yet I want it...

    ReplyDelete
  21. I was trying to be for school but could not pass this up. I got 353 points, a ton of free stuff, used your $10 off coupon, and ebates. This purchase felt good.

  22. This is my first year going platinum at Ulta because I focused all my money on Ulta and less on Sephora specifically for this event and I can say I'm a bit disappointed. I thought Platinum appreciation day specific make-up brands were 10X the points and everything else was 5X. Most of the things that are 10x I'm not really interested in or already have. Can someone recommend something it would be greatly appreciated? Especially from the Estee Lauder Brand
    -Thanks

  23. Does Sephora ever do these extra point events?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No. They do their friends and family sale. The points for Sephora are not that great. Spend 100.00 to get 100 points( 1 deluxe trial size). You can subscribe to Sephora play for 10.00 a month and get 5 of them plus a perfume sample.

      Delete
    2. Actually yes, they do. There are several extra point events throughout the year. Just not nearly as many as Ulta. There was one for skincare earlier this Spring and also one for fragrance.

      Delete
    3. Sephora usually has other options, too. I got a 10 percent off code for extending my VIB Rouge status. Everyone has personal preferences, but I think Sephora does offer nicer rewards, and I get better service in their stores compared to Ulta and they're good with samples. I love Ulta but am not a fan of either being ignored when I go in, or I get stalked. Middle ground, please!

      Delete
    4. Yeah, Sephora does 2X or 3X points in January and May (I think...) but its limited to fragrance and skin care. There's the big 20% VIB sale in November and the $20 gift card in December. There's the Friends and Family sale but you have to get a code from one their "castmembers."

  26. also i thought it might be helpful for others to know this... i was having the same issue where shipping was not showing up free even though i am a platinum member. but if you work your way through the checkout then eventually before you hit complete order, the shipping did change to free so hopefully that's the case for other people as well!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm not platinum but I just got an email from ulta with a $10 off coupon for any $40 LORAC purchase!! So ladies check your inbox before you go to check out!

  28. I am SO over Ulta right now. This is the second time this month I spent all day (off and on) researching products, reading reviews, researching swatches and colors trying to figure out exactly what to buy (which takes awhile -- I have to be careful because I HATE returning stuff), and the promotion ended right as I was checking out, a minute before the 11:59 cut-off time. Had so many awesome goodies in my cart and it showed I was going to get about 700 points and then as soon I as I went to "place order" it showed my points reduced to about 150. I think if you've started checking out before the promotion ends they should let you finish ordering. So ridiculous! I'm tired of missing out on Platinum promotions when I worked so hard (ie, spent so much) to earn it! Oh well, I guess I have a couple weeks to get over these sour grapes before the Sept beauty steals start ... ;)

    1. The promo ended at 11:59 CST. I placed an order at 11:58pm CST and it still applied the points. It sucks you didn't get the extra points though!! :( At that point I just said put stuff in your cart and return later! lol

    2. Jess M: Share what you wrote above with Ulta on their Facebook page. They'll respond and give you bonus points, reinstate the offer, or give you a coupon.

  29. I'm so happy I checked your blog when I did or I would have missed this. I bought the Lorac unzipped palette for $32+tax thanks to the free shipping and the $10 off a Lorac purchase (I am so glad commenters mentioned that). And I ended up with 328 points for it. I was close but managed to snag it!

    ReplyDelete
  30. That was fun! I got two of the Lorac cheek/lips sets with the $10/$40 coupon. Then I got 4 NYX prismatic eyeshadows with the non-prestige coupon and free shipping. Then I got the Naked 1 palette with a $10 birthday coupon. I raked in the points and am excited to use them on upcoming fall deals, especially Cyber Monday :)

  31. Been waiting for this all year! Wish they had more options for 10x the points. Most grateful that not only is Ulta now carrying Estee Lauder foundation, but it is a part of this sale!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I didn't get any email or notification about this. I'm pretty upset since I've been holding out on a full Ulta cart for a while waiting for a good sale/promo. If I hadn't checked this blog today is have had no idea there every were bonus points.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I didn't get any email prior to the promo either - and people shouldn't have to find out about such events through another source (although I appreciate that you do inform us). What is the point of being a platinum member if they fail to inform you about one of their biggest events in a timely manner?! But wait, it gets "better" - I actually received an email about it today ... yes, you read that correctly, today - 2 days AFTER the event. And I don't mean that I saw it today, I received it today at 3.29 AM. At first I got excited thinking they're maybe doing them in batches like the 20% off coupons, clicked on the link ready to start shopping, only to be informed that it has expired. Now what exactly would be the purpose to inform customers about a promotion that has ended two days ago is beyond me?! It's like some kind of a bad joke.
