(retail: $9.98 each)
Thanks so much to reader @makeupxbyh on Instagram for this one! She spotted the brand spankin' new CoverGirl Tru Blend Contour Palettes at her local Walmart this week and kindly shared the above pic. I enlarged/cropped her pic for a closer look:

UPDATE: Thanks to reader Rachel for the tip that the "Light" shade is now available HERE at Drugstore.com (it's $12.99 there).
From the Drugstore.com website:
With truBLEND's Contour Palette from COVERGIRL, contouring and face sculpting is now as easy as 1 TRU 3! The palette includes 3 creamy ultra-blendable formulas to highlight, contour and bronze, with 'How to’s' to help you put your truest face forward!
• Contour palette designed by celebrity makeup artist Pat McGrath.
• Easily define and highlight your features.
• Blends like a $36 prestige contour stick
• From Before to After in no time!
Ingredients:
Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Polyethylene, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Mica, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Phenyl Trimethicone, Nylon-12, Diisostearyl Malate, Ozokerite, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Silica, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Propylene Carbonate, Zinc PCA, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate May Contain/Peut Contenir: Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide
I didn't know that Pat McGrath designed these--I'm hopeful that the texture won't be like greasepaint. (Fingers crossed!) Also, thanks to readers Beauty Queen and Candice for confirming the price at Walmart ($9.98).
Have you spotted these new contour palettes in your area yet? Thoughts?
Thanks again, @makeupxbyh, for the great sighting and pic!
They're already available on Drugstore.com, although for a bit more money (and I think only the light shade right now).
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rachel! Will add to my post! xo
DeleteI saw these at Walmart this past Saturday and bought one. I haven't used it yet but it cost $9.98
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for confirming the price! Will add to the post!
DeleteYou're most welcome. I love your blog. Glad I could finally help. 😊
DeleteI saw these at my local walmart. I'm in MD. They were $9.99. I picked up the one labeled "d" I'm guessing for deep. I can provide swatch pics later! :)
ReplyDeleteI thought the "D" stood for "deep" too, but I saw online that it's "dark" so that's why I put "dark" in my post. Would LOVE swatches at some point after you try it! Thank you so much for the offer! My email is nouveaucheap at gmail. :)
DeleteCan someone point me to a good tutorial for using cream contouring? Or should someone with combination/oily skin even attempt it?
ReplyDeleteUse your favorite foundation or concealer just in a lighter/darker shade. I prefer concealers in a doefoot applicator form, it's the easiest, blended out with a sponge. Just a dot to start.. little goes a long way.
DeleteCovergirl's dark is never dark enough! Jesus! Would it hurt to make a contour for the average black skinned woman?
ReplyDeleteBought the one it light. It was horrible. Greasy and no pigmentation. I was so fed up with it I started scrubbing my finger in the pan and painting it on and still couldn't get any color. Returned.
