The Lipstick League - Week of 5.9.16

The Lipstick League Question of the Week

Dump your purse! Now name every beauty product you found...

G's answer: Well I cleaned out my purse this week which is always fun (NOT) and I decided that, aside from anti-bac and blotting sheets, the only products I would carry around are those that I'm currently testing for review. I have a pretty small purse these days, which is nice since I can't really pack it full of stuff:

(Currently testing for review)
Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid in Nude Thrill
Ulta Beauty Lip Balm SPF 30
Shea Moisture Zanzibar Marine Complex Replenish & Rejuvenate Hand Cream (reviewing this week)

(Not testing for review)
Too Cool for School Dinoplatz Blotting Papers (review here)
Bath & Body Works Snow Man Pop Pocket Bac (Holiday 2015)

Nouveau Cheap is Currently Craving: Paula’s Choice Resist 1% Retinol Booster. I love the idea that you can add a few drops of this to any of your existing moisturizers or serums for an extra shot of Retinol and antioxidants. I have so many “meh” moisturizers that I’m trying to use up right now--they could really use this extra boost!

  1. I have a disaster in my purse! Every thing is in it's place, but there is Alot of everything lol!!! I love holiday Pocket Bacs in the warm weather!

  2. I took 42 lipsticks out of my purse this week. Yes, 42! Which is about a tenth of my collection, lol! I have problems. I just never wear the same one twice in a month so I end up with every one ive tried in 5 or 6 weeks cuz I NEVER clean out my bag! And I sometimes wear 2-3 colors a day. Ugh.

  3. I only have a few things in mine:
    Softlips Marshmallow Ghost lip balm
NYC Extreme Lip Glider Lip Gloss in Wild Orchid
Winter Wonderful Peppermint Twist hand cream
    Giant brand hand sanitizer keychain

  4. My purse is the usual disaster, thought I switched them a week ago. Still, there's a lot there (and for some reason I considered this minimized, though I see now it's anything but. All I've done is pack a weekend hair and makeup bag for always on-the-go. This is just my security blanket!):

    Rimmel Radiance BB Cream
A small Le Couvent des Minimes hand cream in Eau Amiable
A travel Body Shop perfume spritzer in White Musk
A Sephora sample of Caviar CC Cream 10-in-1 Complete Correction
A sample of Drybar The Chaser Shine Cream
    A couple travel-size makeup brushes
A Marc Jacobs gel eyeliner mini (part of the Sephora birthday gift)
    A BareMinerals Lash Domination mini
Body Shop Universal lip and cheek velvet stick
Revlon lip gloss in Desert Spice
Urban Decay lipstick in Sheer Ladyflower
A Pantene Air Spray mini from a Target Beauty Box
    Physicians Formula Super CC powder
An old CoverGirl-Olay Simply Ageless eye concealer that I can't get rid of until it's used up because I love the color so much
Salon Grafix Play It Big dry shampoo in brown
A small tin of OneQueenBee's bee butter (an Egyptian Magic dupe, which I like better than EM)
Maybelline Dream Lumi concealer in Radiant

  5. What I have depends on which bag I'm carrying. But whichever bag I always have blotting sheets, WISP's for brushing teeth on the go, hand cream, and Vaseline lip therapy.

  6. You know that scene in The Breakfast Club when the basketcase (Ally Sheedy) dumps out her purse? Well, that's me! Too many beauty products to even name. And to add to what Krystyn Lowe said in the above comment: I have 33 lipglosses in my purse right now, so yeah, I have issues too!

    1. You and Krystyn Lowe are after my heart. I have probably 120 or more lipsticks (post spring-cleaning purge) and want to always cart about 20 around because my mood might change in an instant and then I will need the pinky-nude ... no, the red ... no a plummy shade.
