  1. I'm skipping this one. I still have so many products left from the last box and between the target boxes and the walmart boxes, I'm boxed out!!

    1. Yeah,I'm sorry this box looks lame...NO MAKEUP? and all cheap products, nothing exciting

  2. I've been waiting for this, and honestly, I'm disappointed. Even though it's a good value overall ($3 an item), the skin care items in this box are pretty weak compared to the previous one. Bummer.

    1. I agree. The last one had a full size algenist serum worth over 100.00.

  3. I'm confused, do they have a monthly box too? I signed up for the beauty thrills box and the allure beauty box for $15 a month? I think?

    1. Yes, they also have a monthly box. The beauty thrills boxes are 4x a year ( I think). They are 50.00 plus 10.00 shipping.

    2. Yep, I actually subscribe to the Allure monthly box and have for quite some time (I love it). I used to do unboxings (you can search my blog to see the ones I did in the past) but I stopped because it didn't seem like there was much interest (so many people do unboxings of these nowadays). :)

  4. I've never bought an Allure box before. This one is very hair care oriented. The only item that really interests me is the Tangle Teezer.

  5. I didn't get any sort of notification from Allure that this was going on. All I received from them was an email letting me know I could pre-order the next 3 for $199.

I've only gotten one of these boxes, and the quality of the products has gotten worse each time. The monthly boxes are much better in quality and variety.

  6. I got that presale notice too. The fine print says you pay a premium for being able to pre-sale the boxes.

  7. This box is still available because it sucks (pardon my language).

@$60 for some chapstick, hairbands, make up wipes and toothpaste? This looks more like the Target beauty box which I was much more excited for. It's okay for a drugstore box but I expected better from them.

    1. While I definitely understand your disappointment with this box (I don't think it's one of their best either), I do want to point out that there's a bit more to this box than Chapstick and hair ties. For example, these three salon brand haircare products:

Redken Beach Envy Volume Wave ($20 at Ulta)
Purology Pure Volume Style + Care Infusion ($34 at Ulta)
Bed Head Joyride Texturizing Powder Balm ($30 at Ulta)

Just those three products add up to $92, so the overall value of this box is great. Granted, the contents may not be attractive to everyone, but I don't want anyone who DID order this box (and many readers did) to think that it's a horrible value. :)

    2. Whoops--pardon my typo. Those three products add up to $84, not $92. :)

  8. I used to buy these boxes all the time, but they just don't cater to a universal range of buyer. There are fewer tanning products this time, to be sure, but it's definitely not appropriate for darker skin tones or textured hair (I wear L'Oreal Classic Tan, so my skin tone's dark, but not even in the deepest range). It includes hair texturizers, multiple hair volumizing products, a light shade of a BB cream (Burt's Bees deepest shade is "medium"), and a tanning product. I'll continue to pass on these, but I'm glad they made the product list available.

  9. I've purchased many of these and have loved them...but I had to let this one pass, I've got so much stuff left to get thru....

I am surprised it appears you can still get this over 18 hours later....I assume many are in the same boat as me, or just not into the selection this time.

  10. Thanks for the preview. I was pleasantly surprised at the content list. I've ordered these in the past and find it works well for me and my college age daughter to divvy up. We each get some nice samples of full size products that exceeds the cost. Yes, there is an extra cost to pre-order but it eliminates the frantic rush to order on the specific date.

  11. I did pre-order the 3 boxes, but didn't realize that they charge more when you pre-order, which to me, it should be less if your ordering in advance. I do which I would have waited, I seen some nicer Mother's Day boxes out there, that are a better deal, hopefully, the next two boxes will be better or I won't be a repeat customer

  12. Does anyone know the shipping date for the box?
    Thank you!

  13. I think it's difficult to get a box that everyone will love. This one has a lot of summer must have items. The Pureology and Redken alone are worth the cost of the box. I'm surprised when some say that there's not enough makeup in a box because personally, I find makeup in these full size boxes to be a waste of money. I'd much rather have skin and hair products. For me, I would only pay top dollar for certain makeup products and we're all so vastly different in colors that flatter. The deodorant can run almost ten bucks alone and the tangle teaser is $10-15 retail. I don't use self tanning products at all so that's a complete waste of money for me but that's part of the point, to get some things you wouldn't normally buy and try them out.
