So I was going through my Instagram feed earlier today and all of a sudden...BAM! Beauty Editor Milly Almodovar Thompson (aka: The Queen of Beauty Sneak Peeks) posted the above pic on her Instagram with the following caption:
Working on some summer beauty stories, and loving Wet n Wild's new Metallic Liquid Lipsticks. Out May. At only $2.99 these are a steal. Wet n Wild will forever have my heart. They were the first makeup brand I ever used as a kid and their color icon shadows are 🙌. Names from left to right: Chrysanthemums the Word, Coming Up Roses, peony express, Indigo Your Own Way, My Tulips Are Sealed, Days Of Fuchsia Passed. What's your fave Wet n Wild product? See any color you like?
I absolutely love that she's always so great about me sharing her pics with you here. I know a lot of you don't have Instagram accounts and may miss this kind of stuff, so I'm happy to be able to bring sneak peeks to you. Thanks again, Milly!
Hopefully this is exciting news for those of you who are "over" matte liquid lipsticks. There are some pretty metallics in your future! What do you think? Will these be on your must-have list this May?
For some reason not really diggin these colors--they look like they would have a satin finish similar to the Silk Finish lipsticks which I hate, but I love the Megalasts.
ReplyDeleteOoo these look pretty! I don't think I'll ever get tired of matte liquid lipsticks but I still open these new formulas with open arms lol. It's nice to have a little more variety in the liquid lipstick world. I can't wait see how these turn out!
ReplyDeleteMetallic liquid lipsticks? For $3? Sold!
ReplyDeleteHello metallic lipsticks.... Yes please!!!! I am excited for these, let's see how long it takes to hunt them down when they start hitting the stores! Thanks for the heads up G!!!!
ReplyDeleteAny word if these are limited edition or part of the permanent line?
ReplyDeleteThat was gonna be my question. I hope they are permanent
DeleteI wonder if they're matte, I think a lot of people misunderstand that liquid lipsticks aren't always matte unless if says matte liquid lipstick. These may or may not look frosty but it sounds really interesting! Now if they ARE matte, I can't wait to try it out >:D
ReplyDeleteThe purple color looks almost exactly like a Revlon lip gloss I have (super lustrous lipgloss in sugar violet) that seems so pretty in the tube but looks like nothing on my lips. Hopefully these WnW ones are better!
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, I was thinking the EXACT same thing - I loved the Sugar Violet in the tube, and it's a nice subtle sparkle effect, but it was such a disappointment.
DeleteI'll keep my eye out for this violet version for sure.
Hopefully they are not matte.
ReplyDeleteI'm fairly sure that I will get at least two of these. They are nice colors.
ReplyDeleteI work at Walgreens and we just got these in. I bought two shades and I'm absolutely in love. They are not matte. It's almost a gloss but not quite. I'm trying to think of a product that compares. They do not dry my lips out. In fact they feel moisturized. They lasted about three hours on my lips with sips of coffee.
