When it comes to brows, do you tend to gravitate toward pencils, gels, or powders?
G's answer: Pencils are my first love, but I'm currently all about the pot gels/pomades (I've actually got some reviews coming up soon). I love the way pomades can create the illusion of more volume (something I desperately need) while also helping to tame unruly hairs. Those are two things my pencils can't always do, but I love the precision of a pencil. If I'm really focusing on my brows for a particular look, I'll definitely use both.

I am just loving Miliani Stay Put Brow Color in Soft Brown. This came out a month or so ago. It's a gel/pomade thing and it's boarding on holy grail for me! I don't think you reviewed it but told us about it in a "spotted" post.
ReplyDeleteI have decent brows but very sparse tails and they are almost colorless. My HG is colored gel combined with pencil, currently either Anastasia brow wiz or the new NYX pencil dupe and Loreal brow stylist plumper. I did have a "pomade moment" but they take more time to apply, plus you have to deal with the brush.
ReplyDeleteI don't do too much with my brows. Mainly I just darken them with taupe pencil, or occasionally powder if I want to make them look a touch fuller. I might try a brow gel once I use some stuff up. I'm not too into the idea of trying to copy the latest brow trend, though. It looks kind of cool, but it looks weird to me if mine are too dark or too thick. Mine aren't as thick as what's in vogue, but I'm in my early 40s and still have brows, so I'm content just that I didn't pluck them to the point of no return back in the 1990s!
ReplyDeleteI used pencils in the past, but I kinda have a heavy hand, so the outcome wasn't "natural". I changed to powder a couple of years ago and haven't looked back. I've been very tempted to try the pomades, especially the ABH waterproof one, but I haven't been able to let myself make the splurge.
ReplyDeleteUmmm... I gravitate towards sleep. I have my brows waxed into shape at the salon when I can, and then leave them alone until next time, except for combing them occasionally. Not very glamorous, I know, but very restful!
