Milani + matte + liquid lip lipstick? Buh-bye, money!
Milani has just released a new limited edition collection of Matte Lip Crèmes. Today I have lots of pics to share with you thanks to reader @avidliteraryworm007 on Instagram, who just spotted this display at her local Walgreens. Take a look!

Um, I'm going to NEED Beloved and Lust (and I predict right now that those are going to be the first shades to be wiped out in this display when I find it!).
@avidliteraryworm007 just shared these swatches of the four shades she purchased. She mentioned that the only one she didn't care for was Flirt, which was patchy (as you can see above).
NOTE: In the last 24 hours, I have heard from several of you who have been lucky enough to find these in your area, and just about everyone has said that these are super pigmented, very opaque, transfer-proof, and not drying (I did hear from a few people who said they were drying, though the majority of you said they were not). Reader dee M also mentioned that these are long-wearing, which is pretty much the icing on the cake as far as I'm concerned (thanks for that tip, dee M!). And reader Aliece just commented below to let us know that these have a vanilla bakery fragrance (not watermelon like most Milani lipsticks).

Embrace, Crush, Lust, Beloved
Reader @tigrej21 on Instagram kindly shared these swatches with us of the four shades she purchased. She also mentioned that she had to seriously scrub her hand with a makeup towelette before she could remove these, so they definitely have some staying power!

Next up, my pal Lisa (@makeuplunchanddinner on Instagram) shared this great comparison of various popular matte liquid lipsticks to Milani Beloved. She compared it to LA Splash Latte Confession, Sephora Marvelous Mauve, and Kat Von D Lolita.
PLEASE NOTE: Lisa said that Beloved looks more brown on her actual lips than on her hand as pictured above. I think this is one of those shades that is going to differ dramatically depending on your skintone and whether you're swatching on your hand/arm or wearing on your actual lips. So please be aware that this shade may not look at all like any of the swatches you see online--you'll probably only really be able to tell once you get it on your actual lips. Although I think one thing we can all agree on is that it definitely is not as pink as Sephora Marvelous Mauve!
Also, to underscore the staying power of these liquid lipsticks, definitely check out Lisa's soap-and-water removal test video HERE.
Here are all eight shades as worn by reader @interviewandy on Instagram. I think you can see that Flirt, Romance and Embrace are a bit patchy (@avidliteraryworm007 mentioned that above about Flirt as well) but the others look pretty darn smooth and even, right? Really appreciate you sharing this collage with us, @interviewandy.
UPDATE:
If you missed this at the top of this post, Milani has confirmed via social media that this collection is exclusive to Walgreens. It was scheduled to release in September but, as many of us have seen, some stores are putting it out earlier. Milani also confirmed that this collection WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE MILANI WEBSITE. As of the time of this post, I do not know when these will be available for purchase online, so hold tight and I'll share with you as soon as I find out.

I am so happy that Milani is jumping on the liquid matte train! They put out some of my favorite lip products at the drugstore!

I *finally* found the new matte lipsticks and the only one that was a good color for me was Matte Beauty :::sobs::: These might just ease the pain though ;)
Anyone know if these are semi-permanents (aka: dries to be transfer-proof) or if they're a regular lipstick?

I picked up Lust on Thurs. And,ilani isn't carried here in Denver Walgreen's. I hope this means a change. 👍

Just tried lust and they are transfer proof!! Love it! transfer proof, long wearing and so far not drying! More! I need more haha

Just picked up Adore (actually my sweet husband saw the display while at a Walgreens we never go too... so he texted and asked if I wanted one since he heard me lamenting that I couldn't find them) I'm so into nude lips right now and this is perfect! I'm not use to the liquid lipsticks since this is the first one I have tried from any brand. So to me it's a little drying but I slapped a touch of gloss on and it's PERFECT. Long wearing and I really like the smell of them too. Not Watermelon smelling like their lipsticks, but more like a cupcake, or vanilla something.. hard to describe but I like it. Now that I know this Walgreens has them, I will be going over there to get the shade in Lust.
I found them in Philadelphia today at Walgreens. I showed restraint and only bought three. Haven't tried them yet though

I found these at a Walgreens that DOESN'T carry Milani, which was a surprise.
I got 5/8 of the colors. And while they're not drying, I'd say they accentuate your lip lines. They're light weight but you can still feel them on your lips throughout the day, but not tacky or peel when your lips are pressed together. I got them for 6.99 each.
I just left my local Walgreens, it's 1 am. And I found and purchased them all. Price was 6.99 (7.41 w/tax) still affordable compared to some others on the market. I'm waiting until morning for a test run. Just happy i was able to find them!
I am going to CVS today to see if they have this display as of yet. I have worn Milani brand before that were wonderful and so affordable too. I will let you know if I find this display today and if so how I like these new mattes. xo

Milani is in some Walgreens here in the Denver area, but not others and I cannot figure out the pattern. It's also available at the Neighborhood Store Wal Marts and K Mart.
You aren't alone! I'm LOVING the browns nowadays. Crush is beautiful BTW, I was lucky enough to snag all but one of these.
I'm hitting up my local Walgreens after work this afternoon! After I used Cailyn's liquid lipstick matte I was HOOKED! There is ZERO point in me using ANY other kind of lipstick! Then I got Jeffree Star and now this. Y'all about about to make me lose my mind. But I'm going to look good doing it ;)
If you are in New York City, don't forget about looking in the Duane Reade stores. I saw a display of these in two Duane Reade stores (one on 57th and 6th Ave and the other at the store opposite the Time Warner Center). Sometimes Duane Reade will get collections before Walgreens does.
Actually, I live in Castle Rock and not Denver proper. 😊 So none South of Denver.
I just saw these at walgreens on Nasa 1 in Houston, Exit 24 of HWY 45. Just follow to the end and stay on the left. Otherwise it will be tricky to get into the Walgreens parking lot

I just purchased Embrace and Romance and thought Romance is a stunning red, I really dont like how drying they feel. It went on very sloppy as well and was hard to clean. chapstick over it helps. Otherwise it felt VERY drying
I found these but the colors just aren't doing it for me. I think the market is just starting to get saturated and basic colors feel pretty blah at this point when it comes to these matte products. Milani's matte lipsticks are way more interesting!
These have popped up and the Walgreens on Scarsdale in Houston near San Jacinto South Campus AND on Broadway/518 near Barry Rose Dr. in Pearland.

I have been to 7 different walgreens and in at least two of them I was told that they stopped selling Milani products..wth??!! There's no display or space where their products used to be. That blows. and I need them now cuz I dont want to wait..lol
Same here I just bought 7/8 also at a Walgreens that doesn't carry Milani after I went to another that DOES carry Milani but doesn't have them yet. So one will probably have to look at ALL of the Walgreens in their area.

Depends on which part of NorCal you're from! But check the Saratoga Walgreens, that is where I found them.

I bought these in the 4 lightest colors (the others are WAY dark). They are amazing and have a great wear time. I also don't find them to be any more drying than bare lips.

For northwest peoples, my walgreens doesn't even have Milani but I found this collection at Fred Meyer's on a special display.
My local Walgreens had one Crush in clearance for $1.74.
Found an untouched display at the CVS on 23rd Street, near 1st Avenue in Manhattan! Picked up Beloved and Romance. I've seen the display at a few other CVS stores in Manhattan, but not yet at any Walgreens.
just wanted to share some information. This is NOT exclusive to Walgreens I just found them at my CVS if I could upload a picture of my receipt I would. so for those ladies that have been looking for them like crazy try CVS. and also a little birdie at Milani Cosmetics told me that they will be releasing again in mid October. They screwed up my online order so she shared that info with me.
I wasn't having any luck finding these at Walgreens or CVS. I found them at 2 but they were almost gone, no shades left I would wear. I found them today a Kmart. Only $5.99.
Picked up Embrace and Flirt for 2.99 each this week at CVS. I tried Embrace; it had a super-smooth application, and dried to a nice matte finish and felt like I had nothing on my lips, but as it started to dry my lips started itching! And then I needed two cleansing wipes to get it off of my lips. This will be great for some people but I do not like long-wearing lipstick of any kind so this is a "No" for me. The color was gorgeous though.

I purchased all the colors except beloved this week at cvs for 2.99 each.Was not able to find beloved in both stores.
I actually found mine on an end-cap at CVS! I've seen them at K-Mart too so call those stores in your area also :) It's worth it for sure!
