e.l.f. Studio Ultimate Kabuki Brush vs. NARS Ita and Becca The One

A little while ago I did a blog post about e.l.f.'s new Studio Ultimate Kabuki Brush ($10 on the e.l.f. site) and today I have a great little comparison for you, compliments of Jess over at Love for Lacquer. Jess posted these pics on her Instagram earlier today and kindly let me share them with you:

TOP ROW:
e.l.f. Ultimate Kabuki Brush ($10) vs. NARS Ita Kabuki Brush ($55)
BOTTOM ROW:
e.l.f. Ultimate Kabuki Brush ($10) vs. Becca Cosmetics The One Brush ($49)

Keep reading for Jess's mini review/comparison...

Jess writes:
"For those of you asking for comparisons between the new @elfcosmetics Ultimate Kabuki & @narsissist ITA - Up top. And @beccacosmetics The One brush on the bottom. There are twice as many bristles in the ELF than the Becca & a lot softer. Becca is more dense. As far as the ITA, much much smaller & I prefer how the ELF one feels. The ITA would be good for very detailed contouring IMO."

Again, this was a quick comparison that Jess did on her Instagram today (she posted some additional photos of the e.l.f. brush here if you want a closer look). Jess is also going to be writing a longer, more detailed comparison/review on her blog on Monday, so definitely check back next week for that one if you'd like more info or want to ask her any questions.

In the meantime, I'm pretty excited to try this new e.l.f. brush, how about you? I really hope it pops up at Target stores soon!

Thanks again, Jess, for letting me share you pics and mini-review here!

  1. Oh I hadn't seen this e.l.f. brush yet, cool! I'm gonna see if I can find it on the Swiss e.l.f. website.

  2. That's a huge brush! What is it used for?

    1. According to their site, it can be used for "blending, contouring, highlighting and stippling."

    2. I have always had problems with contouring, I've tried so many brushes and could not get it perfect. Enter Becca the one. It's amazing! I'm so in love. It gives me the perfect highlight, contour, and blush. I don't use it for foundation because nothing beats the beauty blender for that. So, this ELF brush might be just as awesome!

  3. Whoa, I didn't realize how bug the ELF brush was going to be. That seems a bit unwieldy to use on the face! Have you checked out Everyday Minerals' itahake brush? It's a similarly shaped kabuki brush that's close in size to NARS' ita, but it's only $15. Love it for contouring!

  5. I love the Becca the one. I have that, and it's made with high quality goat hair. So, I don't need the ELF brush, but I really want it lol.
