Sneak Peek: NEW CoverGirl Smoochies Hydrating SPF15 Lip Balms

First the new Lip Lavas, and now these? CoverGirl is stepping it up for 2015!

New for 2015:
CoverGirl Lip Smoochies Hydrating SPF15 Lip Balms

CoverGirl posted this sneak peek on their Instagram page today along with the following caption:

"These new Smoochies Lip Balms are the balm dot com. #covergirl"

I immediately thought of the Revo lip balms that you can find at Dollar Tree, Walgreens, Rite Aid, etc.  But this CoverGirl packaging is very cute, right? I'm so curious to see how the formula compares to the Revos (and to eos). I'm also wondering if there will be additional flavors, or if it's just the three featured above. Hum...either way, I can't wait to try them. What about you?

  1. I really don't need more lip balms, but the packaging is just too cute to pass up! Thanks for posting this, and now I have new items for my makeup wishlist :) I can't wait for all of the new launches for 2015!

    1. I know right? I don't know how the heck I'm gonna stick to a no-buy.... Maybe a low-buy 'use it up' instead :p I've been emptying things left and right lately but mostly hair products not makeup *sigh*

  2. Too cute! Seems like they are missing out on an opportunity if they won't be out this year (I think they'd be nice stocking stuffers), but maybe for Valentines' Day would be nice too!

  3. If they are reasonably priced, I will definitely be purchasing one!

  4. Sigh. So not a fan of this shape, like eos, for lip balms. Won't fit in a pocket and is so awkward to apply neatly. Will be glad when the fad passes. :-(

    1. Me too. I don't think the fad will pass since so many women like EOS, but I don't have any interest in these ones and think they are awkward too. Oh well, lots of other balms in stick form, pots, tubes, etc. Everyone gets their fave this way. My fave it the squeeze tubes of Carmex or Blistex and I know lots hate those medicinal types.

  5. I have been passing on the square, round egg shaped balm because I like to put them in my pocket. I guess they are here to stay. I may try these if they are really creamy and slick

  6. So cute, wonder what the flavors/scents are? I love these types, can always locate them in my cavernous purse!

  7. Their packaging is winning me over!

  8. I don't like the packaging! It looks even bulkier than the round ones by eos/Revo/whathaveyou, with an unpleasant finish to boot (metallic paint = chips, scratches, and fingerprints). And whatever "oxxo" is, it makes me think not of smooches (I think it's a reordering of "xoxo"?), but oxen.
I'll stick to Jack Black and Baby Lips!
