New from NYX: Wicked Lipstick Collection

Thanks to several of you for the tip that the new NYX Wicked Lipsticks are now available on the NYX site. If you haven't heard about these yet, unlike the Macarons which have a creme finish (CLICK HERE for my review of the Macarons), these are jewel-toned metallic lipsticks:

Available now on the NYX website

I just found a great review with close-up swatches of all 12 shades HERE. These seem quite pigmented and perhaps a must-have if you like both metallics and unconventional shades.

Since NYX is 40% off this week at Ulta (ends Saturday, 10/4), I was hoping that these might already be up on the Ulta site but...no such luck (I couldn't find them as of the time of this post). So for now, it looks like you can only get these from the NYX site. If any of you have seen the Wicked Lipsticks in-store at Ulta, please do let us know!

Thanks again to everyone who took the time to mention these to me! I'd love to hear your thoughts about these and if you prefer them to the Macarons (or if the Macarons are more your style)!

    1. I'm not seeing anything about these being LE on their site, so I'm guessing they're like the Macarons. :)

  4. These are absolutely awesome. Those swatches are too cool. I would never wear these but boy do they look fantastic on that girl who swatched them.

  6. I still haven't been able to find the macarons :( whenever I ask my ulta, they say it's a limited edition item they won't restock, I don't know why!

    1. Definitely not LE! Wait until there's a good sale on the NYX or Ulta websites and place an order then!

  10. Sigh... Haven't been able to find these anywhere in Canada, and I can't order them in from the US without paying extravagant fees (I'd have to set up a US mailbox, and the company NYX is using doesn't have the best reviews).

    1. I would give it some time and check on Pheonix Beauty Lounge. They're a salon in Pacific Mall, Toronto and I remember them having the macaron lippies about a month or so after they came out. They're a bit more expensive at $9.99 a pop, but considering I've heard MyUS charges absolutely insane rates for small things, it might be worth it (also our dollar is crap right now). So I myself checking up on them once and a while over the next few weeks to see if they end up having the Wicked collection.

I can't actually vouch for their online service as I've only bought from them in person on a trip to Toronto, but I think I would trust them a lot more than MyUS. Maybe there are other beauty supply places/salons in Canada that sell NYX online? Not much comes up on a Google search for "NYX wicked lippies canada" so it might be worth doing some digging.

But I know how you feel. NYX says they've been working on better options for international customers, but they've been saying that for a while. Why does $6 lipstick need to be so difficult? :(

There's always eBay as well, I think you can get sets of 3 for 18$

  11. My order of these from NYX of these arrived today, and I am not thrilled, to say the least. The lippies absolutely do look amazing on lips--however I'd advise keeping them in the fridge because they are *really* fragile if even a tiny bit warm. Risque broke off on my first application, had to be mashed back into the tube, and that has never happened to me before. Also, NYX failed to ship 2 of the items I paid for, and another arrived damaged. When I called they asked me to document the damage with a photo, agreed to ship replacements, and never once uttered the words I would sort of hope to get under the circumstances: "We're sorry." Love their makeup, but their online business fullfillment needs work.
