In what is the biggest new product roll-out in Wet n Wild's history, for 2015 Wet n Wild is introducing brand new PERMANENT product lines for both Wet n Wild and Fergie Centerstage. This includes many new products that I am NOT covering in this post today (you'll see everything in upcoming blog posts, I promise). Wet n Wild is also improving some existing products, adding new shades and discontinuing some existing shades. Keep reading for more info...
Below you will find three existing Wet n Wild product lines that are receiving a makeover for 2015. Some of these new products have already been spotted at Dollar General (reader @bellexbeauty27 spotted the lipsticks and polishes at her Dollar General this week) but they are NOT exclusive to Dollar General. It may take some time for them to trickle into all of the usual retailers, but they should be everywhere by February 2015.

That's it for now, but as soon as I receive additional images/product samples, I will post them immediately for you. And as I mentioned at the top of this post, there is much, much more on the way in 2015 for both Wet n Wild and Fergie Centerstage (brand new product lines and new shades in existing product lines). As soon as I can share that information with you, I will! Until then, if you have any questions about any of the information above, please ask away in the comments and I'll do my very best to get answers for you as soon as I can!
OMG! I'm so in trouble!
ReplyDeleteLol I totally understand. ;)
DeleteThank you! Definitely not the Wet n Wild from my teenage years!
ReplyDeleteI can remember hiding Wet'n'Wild under all my other makeup in my makeup bag so that my friends in high school wouldn't know I was wearing something that cheap! Lol
DeleteThey've come a long way, for sure! I've said it a million times, I know, but I wore WnW lipstick to my high school prom...in 1989! The $0.99 lipsticks back then were in all white cases!
DeleteIt's just amazing to me that all these years later, they still have a fantastic $0.99 lipstick line and the price hasn't increased. And I'm still hooked on them! Lol.
I graduated in 1987, and wore a super bright purple from wet n wild-my friends all wore the same color!!
DeleteI think I remember that exact shade! I wore the bright cherry red creme lipstick to my prom, paired with super shimmery bronze eyeshadow. I wore a very fitted white sleeveless gown with spaghetti straps and this seemed like the perfect makeup for that dress. Lol!
DeleteDo the discontinuations include the Megalast lipsticks? If so, I need to go buy every tube of Purty Perssimon in the area.
ReplyDeleteI wondered this too
DeleteI would be shocked if they were discontinuing those, but I'll certainly ask and let you know!
DeleteI would faint! Megalast lipsticks are my fav WNW line! I practically have the whole thing minus a few shades I don't really want. I'm not a huge fan of the shape of them as I have small lips. But the colors and quality are great.
DeleteI hope they don't discontinue they megalast. IMO they won't Evvveryone Loooves that line! And Purty Purssimon is FabulOus isn't it?!!!
DeleteI just recently got Purty Persimmon and I never opened it! I have to try! It's more of a summer color, no? Orangey?
DeleteGreat post. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteAny info on the 8 pan pallettes
ReplyDeleteNot sure what you would like to know about them? Could you be more specific? Thanks!!
DeleteSorry! Any word on of they will be discontinued or if news are to come?
DeleteAny infor on the 8 pan palettes? colors, release dates, etc? Also, I think it would be a HUGE hit if the would combine both of the Melrose palettes into an 8 pan palette
DeleteThe new packaging for the silk finish lipsticks looks so sleek! Those lippies don't get much hype, black orchid is still one my faves to this day!
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteI know! I've never tried Black Orchid- not that brave- but Sunset Peach I swear by and Hot Paris Pink is gorgeous!
DeleteI think the new packaging will make them more popular. It's hawt. I have a couple but always ran to Megalast because I prefer matte. I've been wearing WNW since the 90's and they've come a looooong way.
DeleteKohl eyeliners??? and I love shapes the new nail polishes. Very artistic!
ReplyDeleteI'm liking it too. :)
Deletesame here, very interested in the new Kohl's and love those NP bottles!
Delete
ReplyDeletei hope they repackage the megalast matte lippies as well . the packaging is the gripe most people have about them .
other than that , they're quite loved .
––– nicole
I'll ask and let you know if I hear anything about that!
DeleteSo true. My gripe is the shape of the actual lipstick. Though it looks cool, I have thin lips and they're not the most practical to apply for me. And lipstick always ends up on the sides of the cover. Don't ask!
DeleteI agree! Megalasts most DEF need a pkging revamping for sure!!
DeleteThey're not going to touch the liquid eyeliner, right? That stuff is my HG. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard anything about those yet but I'll ask!
DeleteWoo-hoo, exciting! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you think so! :)
DeleteIs it possible that the limited edition Smoke & Melrose palette will be permanent?
ReplyDeleteOh that would be awesome, right? I'll try to find out!
Deletelove wet n wild! but please please please convince them to consider bringing back the vanity fair palette! thats my all time fav from them!
ReplyDeleteLol I definitely don't have they ability to do that, but I can certainly pass on your request. :) That was an awesome palette for sure! I miss all of the 6-pans, actually.
Deletei mean the vanity palette! lol
ReplyDeleteI know what you meant. ;)
DeleteOk, so first I'm really loving the addition of a "nude" pencil. That works for me, and you just cannot beat 99cents. Thing is "nude" for me is not going to be the same for someone with a deeper skintone/colour (much like the whole Band-Aid thing) so i'd love to see a company come out with a range of neutral liners made just for the waterline for that bright eyed look in a variety of "nudes" that complement all shades of skin. I should've looked it up before stating all that as perhaps some company has already done so, but I'm not aware of any of the top of my head. Another thing while we're on the topic of skin colours...I have got to laugh and roll my eyes a bit at two shade names -Baby Got Black + You're Always White! I'm am not a super duper overly pc kinda gal, I can appreciate a good un-pc joke anyday (towards anyone, my own race included) but I'm sure those names will get some in a tizzy! I guess "You're Always White! Is supposed to be a play on you're always right, but it kinda annoys me and reminds me of the olden days saying, "that's mighty white of ya". Implying black is bad, white is right...*shudders* not a big deal, no complaints, just think it's a weird name, "White Hot" could've worked...btw- anybody else think of Andrew McCarthy and Molly Ringwald when they hear the term white hot?!? It was a scene from PIP at the record store. :)
ReplyDeleteI honestly didn't notice anything un-pc about those two shade names before reading your comment. Because if you look at every name in that range, they're all puns on a color (Pros and Bronze, Calling Your Buff, etc). I think that if just the black or white shades were used as puns it would seem odd, but I think it's just a punny theme in general? I understand what you're saying though...I just didn't read it that way.
DeleteAbout the varying shades of nude, I'm wondering if that new taupe shade might be a nice waterline color for deeper skintones? I can't wait to see them all in person.
And yes, you know i remember that exact line in PiP. ;)
@BubblegumBengal
DeleteI see exactly where you're coming from and I must agree.
Nyx has a line of varying nude shades for the waterline.
DeleteHoping that in the new packaging for megalast lipsticks the bullet completely goes down, to avoid smearing jn the sides of the cap..
ReplyDeleteJust to clarify, I never said the Megalasts were getting new packaging. A reader above asked if they were, and I said I would try to find out. :)
DeleteYa i read those, but with such beautiful packaging for 99 cents lipsticks, it would not be good to see the megalast with old packaging:)
DeleteAm I the only one that thinks the new polish tops look like shark fins?
ReplyDeletetwo of the walmarts in vancouver bc, canada have removed their wet n wild displays (in exchange for flower beauty). just wondering if you knew anything about wnw being taken out of canadian walmarts?
ReplyDeleteIn my local Ontario Walmart they have removed both NYC and WnW and replaced with Flower Beauty. Have lost both my go-to bargain brands. Not happy!
DeleteMy Walmart in Nova Scotia has done the same thing. I asked the cosmetics lady and she said WnW is no longer going to be sold at Walmart? (I assume this doesn't apply to the states?)
DeleteNot sure, re Walmart because my closest store like that is Target and Kmart and they both still sell WnW. All drugstores too (drugstore.com included). Flower Beauty is Drew Barrymore's line, I've never seen it in person. But the price point definitely isn't the same, though not expensive it seems. Do you have Targets nearby? I live in NYC but originally from Montreal :) I know Targets are there now...
DeleteLove the new packaging!
ReplyDeleteCan you please see if they can add the limited edition meagalast lipsticks that just came out from the fall and Halloween displays to the permanent line. The colors were great but they were so hard to find. Or at least next time put more than two lipsticks per display. Thanks G love your blog you keep us well informed.
ReplyDeleteI got the Halloween ones I liked but completely missed the Fall collection. Book.
DeleteThose new polish bottles look great! The tops look like they will be very ergonomic. I'm sure I'll be rebuying the colors I have just to get the new bottles lol.
ReplyDeleteI love what I'm seeing. Especially the Silk Finish lippies. I can't believe they've kept the price the same for all these years. Overall they've kept the line to a great value and they keep expanding offerings and the quality. I bought WnW in high school, stepped away for some years, but steadily have returned to buy more and more -- I even like the Vicious Varnish lip glosses, and I normally hate glosses! I can't wait to see what else is coming down the line!
ReplyDeleteIf only we had Wet 'n Wild here :-(
ReplyDeleteIs the grey eyeliner one of the colors not shown above or should I go stock up while I can?
ReplyDeleteSo excited. Been a WnW fan since '97. Glad to see the oldies but goodies are getting revamped. Keep it up WnW!
ReplyDeleteDISCONTINUED Nail Shines List
ReplyDeleteBased on G's list above and the WnW website I came up with the following list of colors that will be discontinued:
Sunny Side Up 405
Mauve Frost 410A
Eggplant Frost 417F
Lavender Pearlescent 420B
Frosted Fuchsia 426A
Sparked 435G
Caribbean Frost 446C
Lady Luck 461
Jezebel 463
Rain Check 464
Wild Card 465
Blue Moon 466
Night Prowl 467
Hallucinate 469
As for me, I'm off to Wags to pick up a couple of extra bottles of Hallucinate :)
This (and your comment below) are so incredibly helpful! Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. :)
DeleteThankfully I have a lot of hallucinate... but now will get me some more sure. Wags and RA here I come!
DeleteNeed Hallucinate! Thank you!
DeleteI had put off getting blue moon, sunny side up, and more hallucinate. Now I'll need to grab them.
DeleteI have like 2 WnW nail polishes! Disturbia and Wet Cement that I recently bought. I like their brush shape. I'll have to check out what the hype is with the ones you're listing. I'm not a big nail polish follower. I love lippies!
DeleteSuper helpful! Thanks G and TriNemo!
DeleteDiscontinued Silk Finish Lipsticks
ReplyDeleteBased on G's list above and the WnW website the following colors will be discontinued:
Cinnamon 509A
Light Beige Frost 510A
Copper Dust 529B
Taj Mauve-Hal 553B
Will probably snag Taj Mauve- Hal too... I've been meaning to try that one out, and now it looks like I won't have a chance to do so for much longer! =) Thank you, TriNemo!
DeleteOh how excited I am to see the other products that they will be bringing out in 2015! Spoken like a true makeup junkie huh lol :)?
ReplyDeleteG, can you find out if the new polish bottles have the same brush?
ReplyDeleteI REALLY hope Taupe of the Mornin' is the same as the current Taupe pencil. It is my HG brow pencil. I love it 100x more than the coveted Anastasia Dipbrow.
ReplyDeleteYippy! New and revised nail polish... still 99 cents. I'm in! Loved the old, I'm sure I'll adore the new.
ReplyDeleteAnd I haven't bought an actual lipstick in so many years. It's about time I did. Can't wait to see what else is coming out.
Very excited, specially for "new shades" I hope they have listened to out plead for traditional fórmula, prior to the Fergie line! Happy dance. You rock G! Thanks
ReplyDeleteNooo!!! They're discontinuing my beloved Wild Shine "Blazed"! Agggh! …Oh well, 3 months is a lot of time to buy backups... =}
ReplyDeleteOH. Never mind, false alarm... just checked and Blazed...is...still there. See, this is what I get when I jump to conclusions based on one panicked look at the list! =)
ReplyDeleteHey G! As long as they keep Walking on Eggshells palette I'm good!! Lol
ReplyDeleteMore new shades Of megalast lippies plzzz those are amazing
ReplyDeleteI am sooooo late to the makeup party...after 15 some years of not wearing makeup BUT upon my glorious return I have discovered WNW eye shadows. Oh my truly creamy and beautiful. I haven't bought ANY expensive shadows because WNW is so frugal and feels just as good. All that said please ask them/beg them to make Nude Awakening a permanent addition. I missed that one and can't find it anywhere. I have both melrose palettes and feel as if I have the entire Naked 3 palette. Please find out their plans if any for Nude Awakening.
ReplyDeleteAs long as they keep Silk Finish in Dark Pink Frost and Cherry Frost, I am golden. Now if only they'd change the layout of the 5pan and 3 pan eyeshadows to having identical sized pans with the same amount of product, I would be so happy.
ReplyDeleteI had made a stop in to Dollar General the other week for razors and I swear, you probably heard me skid to a stop when I happened to walk right past a brand spanking new display of all of these products!! It was just randomly placed at the end of an aisle, not right by the regular makeup display. I could tell that noooooo one had even bought anything from it yet. I wanted to buy one of everything, but I resisted. I did pick up a bottle of the nail polish in the "Yo Soy" color and I love it! I painted my nails in that color almost a week ago with just a base coat, one coat of the color and a top coat using the Nail-Aid Almost Gel topcoat and I'm still chip free! Before that I had used a covergirl polish and did the same thing-base, color, topcoat-and had huge chips after two days.
ReplyDeleteDisplay is up in my neighborhood CVS. I bought Dark Pink Frost - it is amazing! So excited to try out other products.
ReplyDeleteI just raided my WnW display at my walgreens.. they have a few new blushes. . Concealers, matte jumbo lip penails too... and I think 2 eye shadow palettes.. all is fergies line.. but they are gorgeous!!
ReplyDeletePlease bring back Wet & Wild #434A Blue Pearl. I loved that color!!!!
