For your day-to-day look, which do you prefer: foundation, BB/CC cream, tinted moisturizer or...?
I'm a full-coverage foundation kind of gal. But I seem to be in a hurry a lot these days, and when I'm in a hurry I tend to slap on a primer, spot-conceal with concealer and then apply a setting powder. When I don't have time to properly apply foundation, this combo can get me through the day without scaring small children!
Foundation for the most part! On rare occassions CC Cream!
ReplyDeleteWhat setting powder do you usually use? I have oily skin and it's so sensitive to certain products. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThese days I've been using CoverGirl Clean for Sensitive Skin, which I picked up for cheap when it was on clearance a while back. I had never tried that formula before, but I'm really surprised by how well it's been working for me!
DeleteI adore Black Opal invisible oil blocking powder (it's marketed for dark skin but is fine for any tone). Doesn't bother my skin but I've never had trouble from a powder either. Comes in both loose and pressed.
DeleteI go for Lumene BB cream in light with L'oreal Translucide loose powder to set it. For my dark circles L'oreal True Match Concealer in W1-2-3 or Pixi Correction Concentrate in Brightening Peach. Only use full foundation for special occasions.
ReplyDeleteI'm usually the same: primer, concealer, powder. If I plan to be in public for any length of time I'm wearing either Rimmel matte BB (which is more like a foundation), or Maybelline wonder liquid. I ran out of my CG outlast at the beginning of the summer and have yet to repurchase.. it's lovely but I really don't need that much coverage. I'm mostly a homebody and don't have many occasions that require a "flawless" makeup.
ReplyDeleteI had been using BB Cream during the week for almost a year, but I recently started using Michelle Phan's CC Cream and I really like it. I still have to use concealer under my eyes and on a few scars but it's so light. I love it.
ReplyDeleteLight coverage foundation Revlon Nearly Naked.
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with cc cushion compact foundation with concealer as needed
ReplyDeleteMostly ill use a foundation (cover girl 3 in 1). I haven't found a bb/cc/dd cream that looks normal on me lol i just given up looking, i love the CG foundation & set with translucent elf powder
ReplyDeleteOn a day-to-day basis, I wear CC cream. I did just buy the Josie Maran matchmaker foundation and that has very little coverage but I don't have to worry about wonky color matches. I will only break out the concealer if I have serious breakouts.
ReplyDeleteFoundation and setting powder!
ReplyDeleteI wear BB cream on a daily basis. My makeup regime already takes about half an hour, so this cuts out at least two steps.
ReplyDeleteI really love wearing liquid foundation. Being at uni kind of gets in the way of how I want to look, and I'd rather get an extra ten minutes of sleep than apply foundation. :S I'd prefer liquid, but for the most part I have to settle with powder. Shame.
ReplyDeleteI don't need full coverage but i love it and try to make time. Haha i use Black Radiance primer (thanks to you G, i love it) and mix my Rimmel Stay Matte foundation with Covergirl 3-in-1 foundation. Dont really need concealer so i use Maybelline Eraser Dark Circles treatment in Brightener under eye area n down my nose and finish with Milani the Multitasker powder. And if i really don't have time then i just put my hair in a bun, put giant sun glasses on and im out the door. Hehe ;)
ReplyDeletePowder foundation all the way for me in the summer. I wear BB cream the rest of the year and liquid foundation for special occasions.
ReplyDeleteI love that Cover Girl 3-in-1 foundation. I keep going back to that. I use that alone for fuller coverage, or I mix a bit with some moisturizer or BB (or CC) cream if I want lighter but still reliable coverage.
ReplyDeleteI've been loving the Loreal anti redness cc cream. It never looks cakey, it's light, the coverage is great and it doesn't break up or get shiney. My only complaint is it does oxidize by the end of the day.
ReplyDeleteI use Aveeno tinted moisturizer. My skin tends to be very dry in spite of endless moisturizing. Foundation seems to find the dry spots, even with primer.
ReplyDeleteBB/CC cream - maybe if I skip it my children will be more scared of me and do what I ask!
ReplyDeleteI use Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer for under eyes and spot concealer, Then I use L'Oreal Magic BB Cream and Coty Airspun Loose powder to set it.. It is the best to keep eye shadow in place all day!
ReplyDeleteI usually wear Laura Geller Balance and Brighten which is a pressed powder or her Balance and Bronze in the summer. I have been using it for years and I order it on QVC when there is a deal. I love it so much that I never buy any other foundations, BB, CC creams even on clearance. I do try different bronzers though usually cheapies like NYC
ReplyDeleteI love Boots No7 True Identity foundation...its really a tinted primer. For $12 and the many different ways to use (invisible foundation, primer, or a liquid powder for touch ups) its a steal! I also love mixing it with a highlighter cream, specifically from Becca. The combo of the two makes it look as though my skin is naturally flawless. Best. Ever.
ReplyDeleteSince trying the Physicians Formula Organic CC Cream, I don't even know what I am anymore. I believe I am still a BB/CC/moisturizing tint gal, but that stuff covers like a foundation. While feeling like a BB/CC. And it lasts. And it's like a 2nd, gorgeous, glamorous skin. I am so in love with it. It is my holy grail foundation/BB/CC/tint/face beautifyer.
ReplyDeleteI just purchased the physician formula super BB cream, I'm totally loving it feels so light on my skin and I don't have to wear my foundation on top of it, thanks G for reviewing this some time ago. Absolutely wonderful
ReplyDeleteFor the summer tinted moisturizer & for the winter foundation.
ReplyDeleteThis summer I have loved Clinique's tinted moisturizer.
