So tell the truth, how do you REALLY feel about Radiant Orchid?
G's answer: Honestly, I only get excited about the Pantone Color of The Year when it's a color that personally looks good on me! Last year's shade was one that worked well for me, so that meant I was able to find a lot of products in that shade everywhere I looked, which was nice. But this year's shade is hit-or-miss when it comes to my skintone. So yeah...I'm not terribly thrilled (although I do love orchid nail colors).

I wear a lot of purple anyway.. so I have a lot of things that color. It's a bit on the cool side of the spectrum for me though. I'm hoping Sephora/Pantone do a better job with their makeup sets this year, most of the ones for emerald were just flat out ugly... and I love greens so that's saying a lot.

ReplyDeleteI like it! I also liked last year's, the year before last, etc. I think there are always ways to make a color you love work.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty excited about Radiant Orchid because I think it is a nice, cheery color especially for spring and summer. I'll be looking forward to the nail polish colors the most.

ReplyDeletePurple is totally my colour. Always has been. From fashion, to makeup and nail colour, to decor. If it's purple, I love it. I have a an eggplant coloured dining room, a plum workshop, and I used to have a royal purple bathroom. My wedding party was purple. I am drawn to purple in al shades. One thing I love about it is that there are SO many variations of it.
I love the color -- it's kind of a warmed-up lilac shade. But as for the trend, I'm more inclined to go for what I normally like, no matter what trends dictate. Especially with makeup since it washes right off.
