A huge, heartfelt thanks to my pal Mimi of Makeup Withdrawal, who DID attend, for graciously sharing some pics of the new NYX products that were on display at Cosmoprof. Mimi also provided some great details to go along with the pics, so let's not waste any time:

New products from NYX on display at Cosmoprof North America 2013
Let's start with the brown eyeshadow palettes in the back. Mimi said that these are BAKED eyeshadows (you'll see them in more pics below).

According to Mimi, the pans of shadows in the clear packaging are called Primal Colors and she said that they are supposed to be intensely pigmented. Mimi confirmed that they're also MATTES!

The multicolored powder (behind the Butter Lip Balms) is, according to Mimi, very similar to the e.l.f. Tone Correcting Powder.
Whew! That's a lot to process, I know! I honestly don't know what I'm the most excited about there. What about you? Anything catching your eye?
Thanks so much, Mimi, for generously sharing your pics and info with us here today. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it!
Oh, and don't forget to check out Mimi's blog, Makeup Withdrawal if you don't already read it (her photos are gorgeous and I love her reviews!).
those primal colors remind me of MUFE shadows. i wonder how they'll compare!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait!
ReplyDeleteOoooo Im excited about the butter lip balms - I love NYX's Color Balms!
ReplyDeleteI'm most intrigued by those eyeshadow singles in the black pans and the baked palettes!
ReplyDeleteBaked eyeshadow!! If they are any good perhaps could be am excellent edition to neutrals like Naked palette.
ReplyDeleteI have 1 NYX Butter Gloss in Apple Strudel, and I lovvvve it...bonus love is how it matches my handbag! Kinda interested in checking out the butters in balm form. Nice to see more blush offerings for those with darker skintones. :)
ReplyDeleteThe single eyeshadows are round not square....... hmm... what does that mean for the core line of eyeshadows?
ReplyDeleteI think they have slowly been changing the packaging of their eye shadows. The Glam Eyeshadow and Matte Eyeshadow come in round containers. The packaging on the Matte Eyeshadow has subtly changed to have sharply round edges as opposed to beveled round edges. The switch to round from square shape may be a way to look higher end ( like in a Mac palette) or may be a way to decrease product size yet maintain the same price. However these are just guesses/observations on my part.
Deletegood point! I wonder if this means they will revamp all the former eyeshadows?
DeleteSome of their eyeshadows are already round! Only the "basic" line are square. The mattes, for example, come in a round container. I doubt it will affect the core eyeshadows.
DeleteSomehow I think that maybe those round ones are single baked eyeshadows to go along with the baked palette... Hopefully, anyway. I kind of enjoy the original quare of the core line. c:
DeleteWhen do the new eye shadows and baked palettes hit stores? Can't wait!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm partially disappointed in NYX for discontinuing their glitters and some other things I wanted. Since Ulta stopped carrying NYX's lashes (GEE, THANKS ULTA AND NYX...), I'm forced to buy them online. $8 for lashes? Really?!
ReplyDeleteOooh, exciting! I love NYX stuff and am looking forward to seeing swatches and reviews of everything.
ReplyDeleteLou
AWESOME POST...can't WAIT!!!
ReplyDeleteThe butter balms look like they have better colors than the originals. I wanted to try the gloss but the colors did nothing for me. I'm intrigued by the baked shadows though. Hrm.
ReplyDeleteOoh this stuff looks lovely. I'm really interested in the palette!
ReplyDeleteI hope all of these products come out together, so I can do a single order online. I definitely want to try the primal color eye shadows, the blushes, and DEFINITELY have to try the butter balms/lipsticks. Especially the lipsticks, lol. I'm so glad NYX is affordable because when stuff like this happens, I don't have to be really concerned about an upcoming haul.
ReplyDeleteThank you both for the information/pictures. :D
When are these due to hit stores?
ReplyDeleteI want all of those butter lip balms!
ReplyDeletevery excited about the primal shadows!
ReplyDeletedoes anyone know of any other blogs that have information on these products? i would love to get a closer look at them1
ReplyDeleteThe primal colors look awesome! But I'm also kinda eyeing that bronze palette with all the pretty everyday colors... Those look like my kind of shades!
ReplyDeleteexcited for the blushes!!!
ReplyDeleteSuper excited for that palette. NYX makes some great stuff!
ReplyDeleteNow if Ulta can get these in and keep the shelf STOCKED!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for the eyeshadow palette and butter lip balms!
ReplyDelete*gasp* butter lip balms and lipsticks???? I'm OBSESSED with the glosses, so that's really exciting!
ReplyDeleteThese look great! Sad that I live in Vegas and work for the company and had no idea this was held! Ugh
ReplyDeleteThat purple single shadow needs to be in my life like, yesterday. I'm hoping it might be a more blue-based dupe of Sugarpill's Poison Plum.
ReplyDeleteThe butter balm are available on Ulta.com now
ReplyDeleteJust checked the Nyx website, Primal colors are listed as a theatrical face makeup not for use in the eye area. http://www.nyxcosmetics.com/p-216-primal-colors.aspx
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. Can't breathe... I mean, NEW DESSERT-SCENTED LIP BALMS!!! My kryptonite!!! =D
