Reader Marie spotted these at Superdrug in the UK and was kind enough to share some pics. Take a peek!

According to Marie, the glitter in all four shades consists of two sizes of matte white and black hexagonal glitter and also tiny matte white and black dots. But Chalk Dust seems to have additional sizes/shapes of glitter to it as well. Marie confirmed that Chalk Dust has a completely clear base (the pic above kind of makes it look like the base is tinted black).
I really, REALLY hope this collection lands in the US soon! I did some googling and spotted a slideshow of swatches here of Rain Forest Canopy and I'm drooling over that teal jelly base. Also, check out these swatches of Shooting Stars and Speckled Pink (more yummy jellies). And you can see swatches of Chalk Dust, as well as the other three shades, here.
Glitter lovers: what do you think? Are these going to be a must-have for you if/when they hit the US?
Thanks so much, Marie, for the fabulous sighting and pics. I really appreciate it!
Oh my....I really hope we get these over here soon. Shooting stars looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI hope we get them! I think Chalk Dust would be perfect for jelly sandwiches of every color.
ReplyDeleteShooting Stars is lovely. :)
ReplyDeleteI NEED chalk dust. All of them are pretty though! I'll be keeping a look out for this. Hope it pops up in the US
ReplyDeleteChalk Dust looks a lot, in the bottle, like Hard Candy's Black Tie Optional! It is sparser, on the nail, than seen in Lane Laquer's swatches (although it could definitely be built up; Chalk Dust is shown there as two coats, and I'm sure that BTO could be built up to something similar to that). BTO also contains black bar glitter. But, they are definitely nail polish cousins!!
ReplyDeleteChalk Dust has more speckles in it than the other shades and you can build it up really quickly because it dries amazingly fast. I'm going to have a play with it over different polishes this weekend, got a hankering to layer it over a french manicure with coloured tips. Marie :)
ReplyDeleteChalk dust has a lot more glitter in it than the other shades and can be built up easily as it dries really, really quickly. Speckled pink is a lot brighter than it looks in the pics, I'd describe it as a hot candy pink maybe? Rainforest canopy is more subtle, it's a touch more opaque than speckled pink. Didn't buy shooting stars, they were in 3 for 2 special offer, but will next time I'm in Superdrug because they are amaaaaaazing for £2.99! Dying to try chalk dust over a french mani with red tips but my nails are too short at the moment :( Marie x
ReplyDeleteOoh, I'm in London right now and Superdrug has *all* cosmetics 3-for-2....gonna look out for these.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to my blog G, they are lovely polishes and something a bit different to the UK market as we do not have the hard candy range here. I didn't realise they were limited edition so I am going out to grab the other two!
ReplyDeleteI know this may be out in left field, considering the brand is entirely different. But amnyone knows how these compare to gorgeous New Hardy Candy glitters?
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, esp Shooting Stars. Hope they come to the US soon!
ReplyDeleteThese are going to be great! Shooting Stars as well as Chalk Dust really appeal to me! Can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteChalk Dust and Shooting Star really caught my attention! I can't wait to see them in person. Also since I am kinda new to the whole jelly thing I want to try these
ReplyDeleteChalk Dust looks like Hard Candy's Black Tie Optional, which I love :) It looks so good over a creme polish!
ReplyDeleteOh my god!! I MUST have these!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are all cute, but Chalk Dust is the one I'd probably have to pick up if I can find it anywhere!
ReplyDeleteMy UK bestie just showed these to me and I love them, as I'm a huge jelly fiend! But I think I can pretty much recreate the look with Hard Candy Black Tie Optionsl and various jelly polishes of whatever colors I desire, such as Zoya Frida for the teal (my fave!!). :)
ReplyDeleteOoh I love polka dot stuff and glitter polishes! Thanks for the info. :)
ReplyDeleteThe glitter in these remind me of China glazes glitz and pieces line! I think a similar look could be archived with the China glaze glitters and a jelly polish of your choice
ReplyDeletehope it comes to the US if not maybe i can buy it on ebay at some point that ships over here !!! so pretty
ReplyDeleteOkay... between all the jellies and glitters coming out this season, Summer is looking like the worst time for a no-buy!
ReplyDeleteI would love these! I'm kind of tired of hex glitter and would like dots instead.
ReplyDeleteThey are at my Walgreens in Memphis TN!
ReplyDeleteThe hexes are at my walgreens in Memphis TN!
ReplyDeleteYes I want them ALL!!!
